Contamination tests were conducted in a laboratory by employing heavy salt fog without the deposition of non-soluble contamination. Based on the corresponding relationship between the leakage current and the behavior in heavy-fog conditions, the temporal series of leakage current are extended to two phase space by using a phase-space reconstructed method. In accordance with the dynamic behaviors on the insulator surface, the multiscale entropy of leakage current is obtained to investigate the underlying nonlinear characteristics in relation with the variation of contamination degree, ambient temperature and relative humidity. But the super-hydrophobic coating can't completely preventing ice accumulation, especially the soft rime. In order to solve this problem, a kind of semiconductor coating was prepared in this paper,and then the super-hydrophobic coating was structured on the semiconductor film,and the basic property of this kind of composite anti-ice coating was tested. The results show that the semiconductor film have good insulation performance,the temperature of semiconductor film can be raised 3~6°C under high voltage and the water contact of the super-hydrophobic coating surface can reach to 155°. The superior characteristics of compressed air will mitigate the use of SF6 gas in Medium voltage circuit breakers and indoor design gas CB. In order to analyze the performance of compressed air experiments are carried out for various pressures and waveshapes and compared for different electrode configurations. In this paper voltage-time (v-t) characteristics are extracted for different pressures ranges from 30 mbars to 4000 mbars for impulse overvoltage ranging from 0.064/50μs, 0.4/50μs and 1.2/50μs. The breakdown characteristics are compared for uniform field and non-uniform field configurations. The Parametric constants A and B are obtained using hyperbolic model. The equivalent circuit is modelled by lumped and distributed parameters based on quasistatic assumption. In this study, only a grounding electrode installed horizontally is in consideration. The limitation of the uniform distributed equivalent circuit of a grounding electrode is presented. The non-uniform distributed equivalent circuit is proposed. The proposed equivalent circuits are verified by comparison of the results of ground potential rise computed by the proposed circuit, the partial element equivalent circuit method, and available experimental data. We clarified that the initiation of the secondary streamer leading to breakdown is attributed to an electron injection from the grounded plane electrode to the residual channel made by the primary streamer. This paper presents a preparation that KMnO<sub>4</sub> and Na<sub>2</sub>S<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> · 5H<sub>2</sub>O as raw materials, we synthesized MnO<sub>2</sub>/C core-shell composite material by a hydrothermal method, and analysis on its electrochemical properties. In this study, a rotating disc system was built up in the laboratory so as to study the streaming electrification phenomenon occurred at different insulating liquid-pressboard interfaces under various conditions. The procedure for a single measurement was determined first based on the short-time characteristics of the current waveform. Then a 24-hour continuous measurement was carried out to investigate the long-time characteristics. The recorded waveforms indicated that a short-duration measurement is suitable for assessing the streaming electrification behaviour at a liquid-solid interface. The repeatability of measurements of the same sample in successive four days and the sensitivity of measurements to changing pressboard samples were also evaluated. Results indicated that changing pressboard samples leads to a relatively larger variation. The streaming electrification behaviours of a synthetic ester liquid and a mineral oil were compared. The time-to-breakdown has been recorded. Then the “accelerated life test analysis” (ALTA) approach is applied to model the lifetime vs. repetition frequency relationship with inverse power, Eyring or exponential laws. During the “accelerated life test analysis”, the recorded life data at multiple repetition frequencies can be inputted simultaneously into the statistical aging model, and the parameters of each life vs. frequency relationship can be estimated. Mi, Shoulong Dong","doi":"10.1109/ICHVE.2012.6357022","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ICHVE.2012.6357022","url":null,"abstract":"The leakage current is a main characteristic quantity of contamination level of transmission lines insulator surfaces, measuring insulator leakage current is currently the principal means to monitor the contamination level, but because the environment of transmission lines is very complex, electromagnetic interference will must produce much noise at the time of collecting and testing leakage current, sometime we also get the full wave or half cycle, that means some ways to realize selective measurements, to improve the current sensor's abilities of anti-jamming, selectivity and accuracy when the sensors measure insulator leakage current, an optical fiber sensor was employed to measure leakage current of the insulator strings, which used LED as the photoelectric conversion and light signal stability to detect the current. Some tests in lab were operated that results approved that the optical fiber sensor could achieve selective measurement of leakage current waves, the positive half cycle or negative half cycle, and of cause the full cycle current could be monitored after the differential circuit was improved. It had a great degree of linearity fitting, its sensitivity reached 40mV/mA, and their pertinence coefficients of linear fitting are all more than 99.94%.
