This study uses the accounts of four well-known Indonesian celebrities as research samples. The results of this study were analyzed using the semiotic theory of Roland Barthes. The results showed that there were eleven hedonism indicators reflected by celebrities on their Instagram accounts, namely self-expression, hobby, addictive substance, physical beauty, fashionable appearance, education, achievement, work, social activity, relationship, comedy and religiosity. This research was designed as qualitative research. The subjects of this research were the secondary EFL teachers at SMP N 4 Kopang selected based on certain criteria. The data were collected through interview and documentation. This research used data condensation, data display, and drawing conlusion as technique of data analysis. Based on research finding, the strategies implemented by the secondary teachers during COVID-19 were situated teaching and picture description. Those strategies were effective, easy to plan and the students enjoyed the class. Lack of learners’ motivation, insuficient time, resources and materials were the problems faced by the teachers in teaching English. The strategies above used in general material and affected all aspects such as speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Moreover, Teachers as educators should be able to synergize a learning activity with the learning method used in every situation. The goal of this research is to obtain an objective picture about the text structures, social cognition, and social contexts used in the construction of agricultural discourse to establish the agrarian literacy of farmers. The research uses a qualitative method with a symbolic interactionism design to study the way a social interaction is constructed and developed. The data collection methods used were documentation and a content review. The data sources for the research were newspapers and YouTube. The data analysis used a descriptive qualitative method with the stages of identification, classification, and interpretation. This study is classified as qualitative research. The technical analysis of the data used in this research is the technical analysis of qualitative data from Miles and Huberman. The source of information or data for this research are Jon Favreau's Iron Iron Man 1 (2008) and Iron Man 2 (2010) films. The data are the captured scenes and dialogues from the film Iron Man 1 Iron Man 2. A scene can consist of several frames and dialogs that describe the storylines in a scene. The results of the data analysis obtained a list of scenes that contain propaganda techniques. Since the data was in the form of movie scenes, Pierce's semiotics and Villarejo's cinematic theory are used to examine the data. In conclusion, the movie shows several aspects that support the findings in the analysis of American heroism and its maintenance in the movie. In communication, language has an important role because with a language we can express what is on our mind. In this case, learning speech act theory becomes important to overcome this problem. Speech acts are actions that can be done through speech. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of speech acts performed by the main character and to determine the function of the speech acts performed by the main character in Luca's film through the script. speech acts are divided into three acts; locutionary acts, illocutionary acts, and perlocutionary acts. In this study, illocutionary acts are the most important speech acts and are related to what the speaker meant. The illocutionary acts are divided into five illocutionary speech acts; representative, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. In this study, the researcher found all illocutionary acts performed by the main character in Film luca through the script. And the illocutionary acts used by the main character in Luca's film through the script, the researchers found 113; 27 representative, 45 directive, 4 commissive, 34 expressive, and 3 declarative. The most common illocutionary act is the directive illocutionary act, which is often done by the main character in Luca's film through the script. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive method in the form of documents in the form of films and scripts to describe and analyze the speech acts selected in the script, then classify them according to the concept of John R. Searle's illocutionary acts. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative using a sociolinguistic approach. Data collection techniques research results in the form of data collection obtained by means of observation and open interviews at the time of the study. The results showed that code-switching and code-mixing in learning English in one of the vocational high schools in Lamongan City found a form of code mixing and code switching that occurred in learning in Tenth Grade , in total only two types of code mixing were found. The factors causing code-switching include: the speech of the interlocutor, the third presence, the subject (topic), to evoke a sense of humor. Factors causing code mixing include: wanting to explain something, because of the situation, wanting to establish intimacy between teachers and students. The impacts of code switching and code mixing include: positive impacts, namely students are easier to understand the subject matter presented by the teacher, negative impacts of the Indonesian language order resulting from interference and integration, as well as code switching and code mixing. the use of Indonesian is not done properly and correctly so that in learning the situation becomes informal. This research is expected to provide knowledge and become a reference for further research with different references. Tujuan penelitian ini dibuat yang pertama adalah untuk memenuhi tugas sebagai mahasiswa dan yang kedua adalah mengetahui kesenjangan sosial apa saja yang terdapat dalam novel Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas karya J.S. Khairen. Jenis metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Menurut Koentjaraningrat (1993: 89) penelitian kualitatif adalah desain penelitian yang memiliki tiga format. Ketiga format tersebut adalah penelitian deskriptif, verifikasi, dan format grounded research. Hasil yang penulis dapat adalah ternyata dalam novel Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas terdapat beberapa kesenjangan sosial yang ada, seperti kesenjangan sosial ekonomi (kemiskinan), pendidikan, lingkungan, lapangan pekerjaan, serta status sosial. Kesenjangan sosial tersebut sangat mencerminkan apa yang ada dalam kenyataan bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat masih mengalami hal-hal seperti di atas. This data source is in the form of Stand up Comedy Raditya Dika in a Youtube video. The researcher is the main instrument of this research, while the data sheet is used as a secondary instrument. After being collected, the data were categorized and analyzed based on the types of violation of maxims, forms of humor, and functions of humor. Metodologi yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melakukan studi pustaka dan metode analisis data menggunakan metode analisis isi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilakukan maka dapat ditarik sebuah kesimpulan bahwa masyarakat Suku Rao pada sebuah tradisi pantang tanah dan monjojak tanah hingga saat ini masih dipercaya mempunyai manfaat serta dipercayakan membawa berkah, keselamatan bahkan menghindari anak dari marabahaya, seperti sakit perut, lumpuh, bisu, cacat mental dan lain sebagainya. Niali social religious menitikberatkan pada rasa penghormatan kepada orang lain. Tradisi pantang tanah mendeskripsikan masyarakat setempat menghormati petuah-petuah dari orang tua suku Rao. Sama halnya dengan tradisi upacara monjojak tanah dimana prosesi upacara itu sendiri memiliki nilai sosial-religius dari segi menghormati lelur, mencintai masyarakat bahkan bergotong-royong membantu segala persiapan prosesi upacara monjojak tanah itu sendiri.Social-religious value in the tradition of pantang tanah and monjojak tanahThis study was aimed at explaining the socio-religious value of oral traditions owned by the Rao people, these traditions are \"pantang tanah\" and \"monjojak tanah\". The methodology used was descriptive qualitative approach by conducting library research and data analysis method using content analysis method. Based on results show that the Rao Tribe community in a tradition of pantang tanah and monjojak tanah is still believed to have benefits and is entrusted with bringing blessings, safety and even avoiding children from harm, such as stomach pain, paralysis, muteness, disability. mentally and so on. Social religious values focus on respect for others. The tradition of pantang tanah describes the local people respecting the advice of their parents from the Rao tribe.
