Euphorbia species are of great medicinal importance but are difficult to distinguish due to the occurrence of ecotypes and a high degree of polymorphism within the species. Therefore, the present study was planned to explore the extent of variations in morphological characters among three Euphorbia species, namely, Euphorbia prostrata Aiton, Euphorbia serpens Kunth and Euphorbia thymifolia L. The edaphic ecotypes red and green forms of Euphorbia prostrata growing separately or adjacent to each other were reported during field surveys. Most of the historical occurrences of the species were concentrated in northwestern Lithuania, while the largest extant population was in the southern part of the country. In July 2022, a new population of Neotinea ustulata was discovered in an urbanised habitat in Šiauliai in northern Lithuania. A total of 84 individuals of this species were recorded in the population. In the southern part of Lithuania (Varėna distr.), the studied population comprised 86 individuals in 2002 and had decreased to 64 individuals by 2022. The total currently known population of the species in the country consists of about 150 individuals and remains critically endangered. The individuals of Neotinea ustulata studied in Šiauliai were significantly lower and had shorter inflorescences than the plants studied in Varėna district in 2002 and 2022. Since the population of Neotinea ustulata in Šiauliai is in an urbanised area, its conservation poses a significant challenge, making it difficult to make long-term predictions on the development of the population. However, the reproductive biology of this species is insufficiently known; therefore, this study was performed aiming to fill this knowledge gap. Although green-stemmed and red-stemmed Basella alba share a lot of reproductive attributes in common, the obtained results showed differences in their flower bud apex colour, anther colour, spike colour, days to 50% flowering, plant height at flower bud initiation and the mean number of flowers per spike. In both forms, the floral attributes favoured self-pollination. However, the possibility of cross-pollination among them due to the activities of pollinators such as ants, moths, butterflies and bees suggests a mixed mating system. Furthermore, both forms attained sexual maturity at varying periods, thus indicating the existence of a temporal prezygotic barrier between them and limiting the chances of their hybridisation. The study aimed to ascertain bryophyte diversity at the studied sites. In addition, the conservation status of habitats protected under the European Union Habitats Directive in terms of bryophyte species they contain was evaluated. The research was carried out in 2019–2020 and 2022 and covered all habitat types and substrata in the territories. A total of 110 bryophyte species (11 liverworts and 99 mosses) were recorded in both studied areas. About 70% of bryophytes were recorded in one of the areas. Among 13 habitats protected under the Habitats Directive, bryophyte diversity in three of them confirmed their favourable status. Habitats with dominant deciduous trees (9020 Fennoscandian hemiboreal natural old broad-leaved deciduous forests rich in epiphytes and 9180 Tilio-Acerion forests of slopes, screes and ravines) distributed in the area Environs of Lakes Žalieji were characterised by a large number of epiphytes, among which there were also indicators of favourable habitat conservation status. In both habitats, Dicranum viride was recorded. Our research did not reveal bryophyte species indicating the favourable status of 9010 Western taiga habitats. In contrast, small areas of wetland habitats are of favourable conservation status. Three typical bryophyte species (Hamatocaulis vernicosus, Sphagnum warnstorfii and Tomentypnum nitens) were recorded in 7140 Transition mires and quaking bogs (the area Ežerėliai Complex). In Lithuania, Laphangium luteoalbum was recorded in the southern part of the country, mainly along the banks of the Nemunas River in the 20th century. In contrast, it was found only in the 19th century in the western part of the country. During the research in Curonian Spit National Park (Neringa, western Lithuania), a relatively large species population was found in the transition zone between the dune grassland and wet dune slack habitats. The total population in 2020 consisted of about 500 individuals distributed over an area of about 310 m2. We assume that the seeds of this wind-dispersed plant may have been transferred from other regions of Europe by the wind. However, it cannot be excluded that the plants found are descendants of populations previously recorded in the country. The species is most threatened by the loss of wet, open sandy habitats due to eutrophication of water bodies and subsequent changes in bank vegetation. Laphangium luteoalbum was classified as data deficient (DD) in the last assessment according to the IUCN criteria. An investigation of their reproductive biology will serve as the basis for effective strategic planning towards their conservation. The plant materials used for this study were collected from Osun, Ekiti and Niger States in Nigeria. Reproductive parameters, including seed germination, phenology and pollination mechanism, were documented. The highest seed germination rate was observed in the accession of Lagenaria siceraria from Ekiti Bowl. The male flowers appeared first, followed by female flowers’ emergence 14–28 days later, on the secondary shoots. The female flowers of each accession had unique inferior ovary shapes, which developed into different fruit shapes with distinct seed morphology. This study showed that the members of Lagenaria performed better as climbers than as trailers, and the number of fruits produced per accession depends on the size or weight of the fruit. Chrysomelidae and Coryna apicicornis beetles were the primary pollinators observed. Furthermore, the pollens were predominantly monad, spheroidal and tricolporate, and pollen stainability ranged between 81% and 91% in all the accessions studied. The role of nanoparticles in plant nutrition under soil pollution represents a comprehensive overview of nanotechnology in agriculture related to the importance, recycling, and transformation of nanoparticles. Nanomaterials are used in plant protection, nutrition, and the management of agricultural practices. The new challenges nanotechnology faces today include using biological or green synthesis methods to produce nanoparticles and offset the toxicity of conventionally integrated nanoparticles. The efficiency of nanoparticle uptake and the effects of nanoparticles on growth and metabolic functions differ between plant species. The concentration of nanoparticles affects processes such as germination and plant growth and development. The closest isolated population is located ca. 340 km southwest, and newly recorded populations form an island outside the main distribution area. Species populations occur primarily in the Tilio-Carpinetum betuli plant community showing ecological plasticity. A part of the population occurs in habitats with anthropogenic influence. Epipactis albensis is the only obligate autogamous Epipactis species known in Lithuania until now. Although its flowering season starts at the end of July or the beginning of August, solitary flowering specimens can be found in September or even later.
