The focus is on how the works of her step-grandfather, the famous historian Dmitry Ivanovich Ilovaysky, contributed to Tsvetaeva’s image of Marina Mniszech. Tsvetayeva’s lyric poetry reveals her passion for her Polish genealogy, with an ekphrastic portrait of her Polish grandmother reflecting the Polish cultural stereotype: aristocratism and musicality, Polish pride, and a tendency to revolt. Studying the cultural background is essential for understanding Tsvetaeva’s historical texts, for example, her step-grandfather’s textbooks, which she claimed to learn history from. His image is embodied in the essay “The House at the Old Pimen” (1933). Tsvetaeva delegates many personal traits to “grandfather Ilovaysky”: freedom from parties and trends, radical individualism and idealism, and unrootedness in the physical world, up to and including transgression. The same essay points to an artifact, Ilovaysky’s book, which she keeps in her émigré library. The work by Ilovaysky depicts Marina Mniszech in the spirit of tendencies characteristic of the conservative historical narrative. When young, Tsvetaeva was far from the political views of her grandfather. However, it is his historical way of writing that becomes extremely attractive to her. The abundant causal constructions dramatically expanding the realm of fantasy and permissible and plenty of pictorial details and side plots in historical treatises by Ilovaysky fully correspond with the “verbal homerism” of Tsvetaeva herself.","PeriodicalId":53939,"journal":{"name":"Sibirskii Filologicheskii Zhurnal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67578327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Of particular interest is the dialect belonging to the Khanty script monument of the Vologodski priest “The Evangel of Matthew” (“Matveĭ elta jemyń aĭkol-jastypsa”, London, 1868). The Obdorsky dialect is marked on the title page of this publication, but researchers note that “Obdorsky dialect of Vologodski” is a mixed idiom with birch features. This paper considers the grammatical indicators of the noun and the paradigm of personal pronouns compared with materials on western dialects of the Khanty language and the monument of the Khanty script “Sacred history” (Tobolsk, 1900). The analysis of grammatical indicators of the noun has not found any anomalous deviations in the category of number: the text contains both dual and plural forms; the case system has the nominative, illative, and locative; the values of the illative and locative coincide with the data of published works. However, additional values not identified in previous works were found: temporary semantics for the illative and translative, onomasiative for the locative. Also, the locative has a static and dynamic value, which is typical for the Priuralsky (obdorsky) dialect, and the comitative, marked in the monument, is inherent in the Sredneobsky dialect. The personal pronoun declension system has forms corresponding to the markers of the Priuralsky, Shuryshkarsky, and middle Ob dialects. Thus, the monument concerned was found to have formal indicators typical for the Sherkal Sredneobsky and Nizyamsky dialects and some features inherent in the Priuralsky (obdorsky) dialect.","PeriodicalId":53939,"journal":{"name":"Sibirskii Filologicheskii Zhurnal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67575487","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The title and one line directly refer to the poem of the same name by Marina Tsvetaeva. It is shown that Tsvetaeva’s name is a key for interpreting the poem. The poem metonymically refers to her versioning laboratory in the interpretation of Andrei Bely, who singled out and analyzed the specifics of the choriamb as the metrical dominant of the book in his review of the collection “Separation.” This analysis focuses on the manifestation of the choriambic sound and the system of deviations from the four-syllable meter, unusual in Russian poetry, making the poem sound like a song. The first couplet only potentially contains the choriamb, and the reader has to return to the beginning of the poem after reaching the end for the end-to-end choriambic sound to occur, compared by Bely with Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. This study describes deep and non-obvious phonetic consonances and rolls and indicates thematic echoes with individual poems and motifs of Tsvetaeva’s poetry. It is noted how the poet shows the reader the main principle of the text’s metrical division by using two hyphens that seem pretentious at first sight. It is shown that the poem is an independent and self-sufficient poetic work, a score for its performance, and a tutorial with which to teach the reader to hear the sound of choriamb, uncommon for Russian poetry.","PeriodicalId":53939,"journal":{"name":"Sibirskii Filologicheskii Zhurnal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67576456","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper presents a comparative analysis of corpus practice based on the material of spoken language. Also, consideration is given to the process and results of creating a discursively annotated corpus of dialect speech with a size of more than 2 million tokens. Discursive markup implies the labeling of three parameters: topic, type, and genre of the text. The novelty of this research project is related to the fact that, for the first time, a large array of dialectal texts has been marked up according to intentional orientation: not only folklore but also speech genres have been annotated. The value of the new source is provided by the combination of archived data with current materials. A methodological advantage of the corpus is the possibility of combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. The paper describes the principles of implementing the genre marking in the Tomsk dialect corpus, with the factors influencing the composition of the genres of the dialect corpus revealed. The results make it possible to determine the quantitative ratio of different speech genres in dialectal communication. The observations are supported by examples from the spoken language of villagers. The accuracy of the conclusions is ensured by the reliance on quantitative data and a considerable amount of material (over 16 thousand genre fragments).","PeriodicalId":53939,"journal":{"name":"Sibirskii Filologicheskii Zhurnal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67576491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The invariant core in the semantics of the concept is determined by the diversity of its constituent features and semantic manifestations. The variant content of the concept is determined by the whole set of national-historical and socio-cultural conditions defining the interpretation of the concept within the framework of a certain type of discourse. So far, the educational discourse representing “its own” empirical material, i.e., educational texts on the Russian language as a foreign language, has not yet been sufficiently studied in terms of the linguistic content of the LANGUAGE concept functioning in it. Thus, the novelty of this work is studying the specifics of interpreting the linguocultural concept of LANGUAGE regarding its genre-discursive characteristics through modeling its semantic structure. The following conclusions have been drawn about the discursive-variant meanings in the interpretation of the concept concerned in educational linguistic texts for foreign students: “LANGUAGE is a means of implementing multi-ethnic interaction through a dialogue of cultures and languages”, “LANGUAGE is a scientific object of cognition and a means of teaching”, “LANGUAGE is a way of forming a secondary language consciousness, fragments of a secondary language picture of the world”, “LANGUAGE is a way and means of educating a person based on the principles of respectful and tolerant attitude to representatives of another linguistic culture, someone else’s system of values.”","PeriodicalId":53939,"journal":{"name":"Sibirskii Filologicheskii Zhurnal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67576563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These signs were determined at the level of intentional organization of discourse and specificity of the composition and configuration of figurative-expressive means. The comprehensive analysis methodology involved compiling a fragmentary speech portrait of language personality and linguodiscursive, including intensional, stylistic, and contextual analyses. Intentional analysis revealed a complex set of contradictory emotions and feelings, assessments and attitudes. The linguistic personality under study can be characterized by a developed imagination, non-standard and paradoxical semantic articulations and comparisons, combined with uncommon linguistic and creative abilities. Figurative means (metaphor and comparison, hyperbole, rhyme, and rhythmization in the prose text, oxymoron, playing around with antonyms and polysemes) most fully reflect the inner world of the person: an emotional state of confusion, upheaval, desolation, total despair, rejection of oneself, others, and the world, feeling of tragedy, and meaninglessness of existence. The linguodiscursive level reveals the juxtaposition of cognitive and communicative contradictory intentions, vocabulary and idiomatics of social degradation, the abundance of semantic and stylistic contrasts, aphoristic and puns writing style, language experiments, and games.","PeriodicalId":53939,"journal":{"name":"Sibirskii Filologicheskii Zhurnal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67576605","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose was to define the motivational features of the Yakut language nominations of the phytonyms with somatic components. The tasks were to identify phytonyms with somatic components in the Yakut language, consider how their nominations are formed, determine their motivational formation sign, and identify the nominal role of somatisms in the composition of phytonyms. Scientific novelty of the research is investigating how the nominations with somatic components are formed. Such a work has never been undertaken in Yakut linguistics. In the course of the study, 60 somatisms in 27 phytonyms reflecting different kinds of stable associative links in the language were collected and analyzed. Phytonyms were divided into several groups according to the soma components identified: emij ‘udder’, tiŋilekh ‘heel’, tyŋyrakh ‘claw’, atakh ‘paw’, tyl ‘tongue’, tumsu ‘neb’, muos ‘horn’, bas and tobo ‘head’, kuturuk ‘tail’, battakh ‘hair’, and others. The study has revealed that the most common are phytonyms with somatic words: kuturuk ‘tail’, tyl ‘tongue’, and tobo ‘head’. The analysis has found the most frequent somatisms to be two-component ones, with four-component ones being less common.","PeriodicalId":53939,"journal":{"name":"Sibirskii Filologicheskii Zhurnal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67576622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Of great importance is the image of the author manifesting itself in the structure and semantic field of the text in different situations. The fragments containing elements of Ignatius’ autobiography play a special role in its construction. The facts of personal life described and introduced into the epistolary discourse add new touches to his image and reveal his author’s position towards the events depicted and the people acting in them, thus expressing the author’s presence in the text. The writer includes the dialogues, where he acts as a participant, into the composition structure of the “Siberian Epistles”, often using the personal pronoun “I” as a method of author’s self-presentation. Sometimes he acts both as a narrator and a character inside the main text (listener, participant in the dialogue). The methods and ways of organizing the text used by Ignatius testify to his creative courage, his understanding of the significance of the writer’s word, the power of its impact on the reader. In general, the strategy chosen by the author of the “Siberian Epistles” allowed him to express most powerfully his individuality, author’s self-consciousness and helped in revealing the idea and goal that he set for himself when starting to create the “Siberian Epistles.”","PeriodicalId":53939,"journal":{"name":"Sibirskii Filologicheskii Zhurnal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67576993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Consideration is given to the type of epistemic modality associated with presupposition, i.e., knowledge known and relevant to the participants of communication. Text analysis functional methods are used to study expository texts from Russian textbooks on Social Sciences and Physics for secondary school. It has been found that presupposition is most often expressed through modal constructions referring to a reader (personal pronouns) occupying an initial or non-initial position in the text. The didactic function of the expressed presupposition is to actualize the reader’s knowledge necessary for text comprehension. At the same time, the expressed presupposition allows presenting a model of knowledge and a knowledge-building process by mapping a knowledge structure. The expressed presupposition represents the epistemic relations (1) between the familiar and unfamiliar parts of disciplinary knowledge and (2) between familiar parts of everyday life and unfamiliar disciplinary knowledge. The expressed presupposition presents the knowledge-building process by affecting the text deployment. The initial presupposition can occur as a global topic sentence expressing the most significant referents and determining the thematic text structure. Also, the initial presupposition can convey familiar segments of knowledge and set an information context to introduce unfamiliar significant referents in the following sentences. The non-initial presupposition expands the information context and tends to elaborate and detail the topic. To conclude, there is a correlation between the text-deployment potential of the expressed presupposition and the epistemic potential of the familiar knowledge.","PeriodicalId":53939,"journal":{"name":"Sibirskii Filologicheskii Zhurnal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67577349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
