Innovative development and the digital economy affect all areas of modern Russian society. The ongoing transformation requires the availability of certain resources, particular-ly qualified specialists. This process also relates to all professional areas. Technology plays a key role in today ’ s world; it is therefore essential to help girls and boys receive a quality technical education. The study conducted by the author shows that the involvement of girls in innovative activities is much lower compared to boys. The process of creating “ male ” and “ female ” images is considered through the psycho-logical aspects, roles and place in the plot, which are attributed to the characters. The content analysis of the films of the animated series “ Three Heroes ” , released in 2004 — 2018, showed that the features of the characters are based on gender stereotypes. Russian and Chinese societies are undoubtfully experiencing social and gender transformation today. At the same moment they are still preserving (each in its own manner) patriarchal attitudes and principles of the organization of social life. Changes and un-certainty about new reality can cause a deep internal conflict (deformation of self-esteem and self-worth) to some men. The roots of the conflict are to be found in the contradiction between the expectations of stereotypical manifestations of the masculine ideal from men on the one hand, and demand for gender variability on the other. The consequences of such experience are very individual, but there are also general trends: the demonstration of hypermasculinity as a way of asserting one ’ s masculinity, complete submission to the demands and expectations of society, or the formation of new variants of masculinity based on the “ androgynous principle ” of combining characteristics of different gender roles. The gender changes considered here turn out to be related to political, socio-cultural and economic processes. Manifestations of various models of masculinity are noticeable in a wide variety of fields, e. g. education, art, fashion, di-plomacy. The article discusses the differences in the demographic situation in the EAEU countries. The authors focus on the gender component of this issue. Problems and threats to demographic security have been identified: gender disproportionality of the population (the predominance of women over men), a significant gender difference in life expectancy, and a decrease in life expectancy among the entire population. It is shown that the following negative indicators of demographic dynamics are typical for Russia, Belarus and Armenia: depopulation; low birth rate and high death rate; low life expectancy, primarily among the male part of the population, and the aging of the population. Among the EAEU countries, the Republics of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have the highest rates of maternal mortality and the lowest rate of economic activity among women. A negative attitude towards feminism in South Korea has greatly increased in the past few years: men are becoming conservative; the confrontation between women and men is growing. In this article, based on the analysis of sociological surveys, historical and news sources in Russian, English and Korean, several Korean and English forums, the author con-cludes that there is a sharp spike in antifeminist moods among young men aged 20 — 30, which is caused by traditional values, modern educational system and economic situation in South Korea. Job search acts as one of the stages of youth integration into the institute of labor. This process may be associated with the implementation of a diploma of education or occur outside of the binding to the received specialty. The results of a study on the employment of young people in Nizhny Novgorod are given. An overview of the resumes of young men and women looking for work is presented. Such aspects as the level and profile of education, mo-bility, desired wages, distribution of girls and boys in different spheres of economic activity are considered. Gender segmentation at the stage of job search is revealed.
