The experience was collected over the years, when managing a fleet of tens of thousands of NB-IoT wireless sensors deployed worldwide by our customers. Typically, the solar panel's charges a battery, and any excess energy generated is usually wasted once the battery is fully charged. However, by utilizing this extra energy, heavy loads can be powered as well. This is where a solar power controller comes into play, which measures the parameters of the solar cell through multiple sensor and adjusts the load accordingly. When the power output of the PV cell is high, the load runs on solar power, and if the power is not sufficient, the load switches to the main supply. The load switches back to solar power when it becomes high again. The individual methods and tools necessary for the implementation of 3D prints are described. Materials that are used in 3D printing technology are also discussed. In addition, the construction of printers on which the samples for the tests described in this work were prepared was discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of using individual slicers for 3D printing are presented. The obtained measurement results of samples made of polylactide (PLA) are presented. {"title":"CLASSIFICATION OF PARKINSON’S DISEASE AND OTHER NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS USING VOICE FEATURES EXTRACTION AND REDUCTION TECHNIQUES","authors":"Oumaima Majdoubi, Achraf Benba, Ahmed Hammouch","doi":"10.35784/iapgos.3685","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.35784/iapgos.3685","url":null,"abstract":"This study aimed to differentiate individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD) from those with other neurological disorders (ND) by analyzing voice samples, considering the association between voice disorders and PD. Voice samples were collected from 76 participants using different recording devices and conditions, with participants instructed to sustain the vowel /a/ comfortably. PRAAT software was employed to extract features including autocorrelation (AC), cross-correlation (CC), and Mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) from the voice samples. Principal component analysis (PCA) was utilized to reduce the dimensionality of the features. Classification Tree (CT), Logistic Regression, Naive Bayes (NB), Support Vector Machines (SVM), and Ensemble methods were employed as supervised machine learning techniques for classification. Each method provided distinct strengths and characteristics, facilitating a comprehensive evaluation of their effectiveness in distinguishing PD patients from individuals with other neurological disorders. The Naive Bayes kernel, using seven PCA-derived components, achieved the highest accuracy rate of 86.84% among the tested classification methods. It is worth noting that classifier performance may vary based on the dataset and specific characteristics of the voice samples. In conclusion, this study demonstrated the potential of voice analysis as a diagnostic tool for distinguishing PD patients from individuals with other neurological disorders. By employing a variety of voice analysis techniques and utilizing different machine learning algorithms, including Classification Tree, Logistic Regression, Naive Bayes, Support Vector Machines, and Ensemble methods, a notable accuracy rate was attained. {"title":"THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FEATURE VECTOR IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF SARCOIDOSIS BASED ON THE FRACTAL ANALYSIS OF CT CHEST IMAGES","authors":"Zbigniew Omiotek, P. The data set included the healthy class and 3 classes of cases affected by sarcoidosis. It was a state involving only the trachea – Sick(1), a state including trachea and lung parenchyma – Sick(2) and a state involving only lung parenchyma – Sick(3). Based on a fractal analysis and a feature selection by linear stepwise regression, 4 descriptors were obtained, which were later used in the classification process. These were 2 fractal dimensions calculated by the variation and box counting methods, lacunarity calculated also with the box counting method and the intercept parameter calculated using the power spectral density method. Two descriptors were obtained as a result of a gray image analysis, and 2 more were the effect of a binary image analysis. The effectiveness of the descriptors was verified using 8 popular classification methods. In the process of classifier testing, the overall classification accuracy was 90.97%, and the healthy cases were detected with the accuracy of 100%. In turn, the accuracy of recognition of the sick cases was: Sick(1) – 92.50%, Sick(2) – 87.50% and Sick(3) – 90.00%. In the classification process, the best results were obtained with the support vector machine and the naive Bayes classifier.
