In this paper, I will expose the framework of human rights and the right to health from international organizations, recognizing that there are various critics and debates about its conception. In addition, I will analyze the role of the neoliberal global agenda in human rights, including health and mental health, and its impact on the pathology and dehumanization of mental health. The information gathered was performed in three phases, using language and pedagogical strategies according to their age: 1) workshop using play; 2) artistic session to elaborate drawings on the investigated topic; 3) focus groups to deepen on gender and equity. Discourses and practices based on prejudices and learned beliefs were evidenced, as part of the male / female binary system that attributes superiority to men, and that affect their self-concept and interactions. At the same time, the creative capacity they display to withdraw and question such limiting visions, and freely express their being / thinking / acting, was highlighted. Among the aspects shared by the participants, it stands out their claim to be promoters of solidarity and respect for the rights and dignity of all on equal terms; the recognition of difference as human beings and their unbreakable intrinsic value; the participation of children in contributing to all the socialization scenarios in which they engage in home, community, school. This evidence sets a precedent in the matter of educational exercises, which contributes to promoting an alternative value system towards the eradication of violence and good coexistence practices.","PeriodicalId":52985,"journal":{"name":"Voces desde el Trabajo Social","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44989802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A reflective analysis will be presented from a philosophical point of view through the classical educational exponents. Sex education will be triangulated, with educational policy and social policy to visualize it through the framework in childhood. This will be reflected in a cultural context and will be addressed around the history of public policy on sexual education, sexuality, and sexual abuse in Puerto Rico. Sexual education is being viewed as an inherent part of the children’s rights. In the central region of Puerto Rico, the impact of coffee production is vital to achieve economic and social development of their communities. The most recent statistics report low economic growth and high unemployment in coffee municipalities. In order to analyze, from the intervention of Social Work, the economic and social policies that have been formulated to overcome the problem of the shortage of agricultural workers in the central zone, a mixed method investigation was conducted. First a quantitative phase followed by a qualitative phase. The article presents a contextual analysis of the narratives of agricultural workers, farmers, and public policy experts. The findings reveal the implications of poverty, inequalities and stigmatization for the quality of life of the participants. It is also stated that the public policy formulated does not harmonize with the realities of wages, farm conditions and government services in the area. Finally, it is proposed to equate the agricultural minimum wage to that of other labor sectors, the deconstruction of stereotypes that legitimize discrimination, oppression and marginalization; and the family farming as an articulating element of generational change, community spaces and the creation of employments and income.","PeriodicalId":52985,"journal":{"name":"Voces desde el Trabajo Social","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43061368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Este trabajo pretende analizar las características que adquiere el proceso de enfermar-cuidar y morir, en contexto migratorio, de pacientes atendidos por un Equipo de Cuidados Paliativos. Estos pacientes se ven atravesados por una doble invisibilización: por un lado, su condición de migrantes trae aparejada marginalidad e indiferencia, por otro lado, la invisibilidad en torno al proceso de morir en las sociedades actuales. Creemos que “morir lejos de casa” adquiere características distintas, resultando menester considerar aquellas particularidades culturales, creencias y rituales que condicionarán la toma de decisiones durante el fin de vida en contexto migratorio. Resulta necesario para el abordaje del Equipo de Cuidados Paliativos desarrollar el reconocimiento y la comprensión de las características socioculturales de los pacientes que atraviesan el proceso de enfermar, cuidar y morir en tierra ajena. La condición de migrante favorece el sufrimiento por desarraigo, expone a desventajas sociales y económicas que se suman al marco de vulnerabilidad al que expone la enfermedad. A fin de evitar procesos de discriminación y estigmatización, y especialmente, de garantizar el derecho a la salud y a morir con dignidad, encuentra el Equipo de Cuidados Paliativos el desafío de desplegar las acciones necesarias para dar respuesta.","PeriodicalId":52985,"journal":{"name":"Voces desde el Trabajo Social","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47482617","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Para este estudio de diseño cualitativo y narrativo, se realizaron entrevistas a profesionales del Trabajo Social Clínico que, además de un grado de maestría en Trabajo Social, cuentan con un grado doctoral en Psicología. En Puerto Rico, se reconoce la aportación de esta especialidad, particularmente, en los escenarios de intervención directa. Se documenta que el Trabajo Social con especialidad clínica, continúa siendo eje de discusión. Asuntos como la definición de la especialidad y los alcances de la misma, quedan sujetos a las opiniones o posicionamientos paradigmáticos desde los adentros de la propia profesión. El escrito presenta las perspectivas de las personas entrevistadas sobre la relación y las diferencias entre el Trabajo Social Clínico y otras profesiones. Se señala la relevancia de la formación académica y se reflexiona sobre tensiones y posturas que deberían ser atendidas por los profesionales. Por último, se realizan recomendaciones priorizando la importancia de abrir canales de diálogo para dilucidar debates existentes con relación a la especialidad y a la profesión del Trabajo Social en general.","PeriodicalId":52985,"journal":{"name":"Voces desde el Trabajo Social","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41801105","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A partir de los datos obtenidos a través de un cuestionario autoadministrado aplicado a 137 estudiantes avanzados de la Universidad Nacional de La Matanza (Buenos Aires, Argentina) en los cursos 2016-2017, se analizan sus opiniones y creencias en torno de tres dimensiones: a) movilización espiritual; b) la espiritualidad como dimensión del diagnóstico y de la intervención social; y c) su presencia en los contenidos curriculares como en la bibliografía de apoyo. El análisis cuantitativo de los datos interpretados a la luz de los conceptos relevados, sugieren que, si bien los participantes reconocen que la espiritualidad forma parte del universo del Trabajo Social, se integra débilmente al proceso de formación profesional, revelando históricas disyuntivas profesionales.","PeriodicalId":52985,"journal":{"name":"Voces desde el Trabajo Social","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41816221","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
