Ikat cloth has even become an integral part of traditional ceremonial ceremonies, traditional marriage ceremonies, and religious ceremonies. Tie fabrics have different motifs in each region according to the peculiarities of the region itself. Lewokluok Village is a village in East Flores Regency, which has a variety of ikat motifs. The diversity of the ikat motifs is a symbol of unifying the culture of Lewokluok village from the many tribes that inhabit Lewokluok village. The provision of an tie craft center is an effort to overcome the problems faced by tie weaving craftsmen in preserving the tie culture, promoting tie weaving, and marketing the existing tie weaving works. The craft center is a place that is used as a center for production, promotion, tourism, and cultivation activities as well as the cultural development of an area. The design of the Lewokluok tie craft center uses the application of fractals. Fractal is a geometric shape that is irregular in shape, contorted but has similarities with itself. This fractal formation uses the principle of self-similarity from the basic pattern, namely the Lewokluok tie motif which is transformed into the form of building mass. This study uses a descriptive analysis method, starting from data collection consisting of primary data and secondary data. This data is obtained from the results of observations, interviews, and documentation as well as from literature studies and comparative studies of similar objects and themes. This data is then analyzed with various alternatives to produce the final design concept. In the end, it can produce a design center for Lewokluok tie weaving according to its function and purpose and increase the potential for cultural tourism in Lewokluok by applying fractals to the shape of the building that shows the characteristics of Lewokluok tie motifs.","PeriodicalId":52715,"journal":{"name":"JAUR Journal of Architecture and Urbanism Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136068865","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The density of beach visitor activities and the existence of religious ritual activities in it are considered to represent the pattern of visitor activity in public open spaces. Seeing the high number of visits, the author is interested in conducting this research to find out what activities are taking place in it and also the pattern of activities in it. This aims to obtain a pattern of circulation of activities that take place in the research location to be a reference for designers in planning public open space facilities. The theory used in this research is behavior setting, which is studying the relationship between human behavior and the environment that accommodates these activities. The method of data collection is by observing the movement patterns of visitor activities and interviews and using questionnaires distributed to people who have visited Melasti Beach. Technical analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis is done to obtain the use of space based on a person's activity pattern which is described through behavior mapping. It takes several variables to analyze this research, including actors, activities, flow, time, and form. The results of this study are the activity patterns of Melasti Beach visitors which are divided into 3 types: high-intensity activity patterns occur during the day off, moderate intensity occurs on weekdays and low intensity occurs in the afternoon to evening.","PeriodicalId":52715,"journal":{"name":"JAUR Journal of Architecture and Urbanism Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86926314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many of the causes of this tidal flood include global warming, seawater at high tide, and poor drainage due to the large piles of garbage. The tide level reached 2.7 meters from the current sea level, and people's economic activities stopped for a while. The pile of garbage caused the surrounding houses to become shabby and dirty. This study aims to obtain a home design solution in anticipation of high tide due to tidal flooding that enters residents' homes with the concept of floating houses in the Bagan Deli area. The research method uses the floating foundation engineering design method by using a floating system on the foundation (base) of the house and the connection on the pole so that the house remains in place (fixed position). One of these architectural styles is an Art Deco-style building that has its own character. This style first appeared in 1925 and developed until 1940. This European architectural style was adopted in various American buildings due to their condition in the time of the industrial revolution. The modern architectural movement that developed at that time also influenced the art deco style and gave it a modern touch. The Art Deco style in graphic design restores again decorativism but not necessarily in the form of ornaments. Decorative impressions can be achieved through the play of elements geometric, typographic blocks, textures and shades of color.
