Kolomiets","doi":"10.35540/2686-7907.2023.1.01","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.35540/2686-7907.2023.1.01","url":null,"abstract":"Information is provided on the seismicity of the Earth at the level of mb≥6.0 in the 2022 second half, as well as on 66 earthquakes felt on the territory of the Russian Federation according to the to the Alert Service of the Geophysical Survey RAS. For the 15 most severe earthquakes, information messages were published within one or two days after their implementation, the parameters of the mechanisms of foci were calculated and given. During the period under review, the strongest earthquake on the globe with MS=7.8 (Mw=7.7) occurred on September 19 in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. The greatest human casualties and material damage were caused by a catastrophic earthquake with MS=5.3 (Mw=5.6), which occurred on November 21 on the island of Java, Indonesia. Because of the earthquake, 318 people were killing and more than 7,700 people were injured. On the territory of Russia, the strongest earthquake was on September 20 with MS=6.0 (Mw=6.1) in the area of the Commander Islands. The earthquake of December 8 with mb=5.6 (Mw=5.5), which occurred on the territory of the Republic of Dagestan, was felt with the greatest intensity of concussions (6 points) in the settlements of Russia. This phenomenon is associated both with medical\u0000problems and the system of organization of medical pediatric care in the country,\u0000as well as with socio-economic and cultural factors, such as: the availability of\u0000baby food, the culture of baby food, cultural traditions of the region, the level\u0000of family education, and others. In the present study, this effect is considered from the\u0000standpoint of physical anthropology: an attempt was made to identify facial\u0000features and proportions, facial indices that make the observer feel fear and\u0000anxiety. Respondents will be asked to select the most sinister images of faces\u0000belonging to robots, animated characters etc. A number of parameters will be\u0000measured on the faces of the characters, which the respondents call the most\u0000terrible. These parameters will be compared with the proportions of human faces\u0000in order to find significant differences. The object of the study was 147 young men of the Gujarat ethnic\u0000group at the age of 17–21. The study was carried out using anthropometric\u0000techniques. Bone, muscle and fat components of body mass, body mass index\u0000and body surface area were calculated. The average body length of Gujarat youths\u0000was determined as 171,75 ± 0,50 cm, body weight – 63,57 ± 1,17 kg. The average\u0000thickness of the fat fold on the back was 1,80 ± 0,08 cm, on the front shoulder\u0000– 0,64 ± 0,04 cm, on the back shoulder – 0,81 ± 0,04 cm, on the forearm – 0,53\u0000± 0,03 cm, on the chest – 1,07 ± 0,05 cm, on the abdomen – 2,22 ± 0,10 cm, on\u0000the thigh 1,69 ± 0.07 and on the leg – 1,11 ± 0,05. The skin fold on the back of\u0000the hand was 0,21 ± 0,01 cm. The average value of the body mass index among\u0000Gujarati boys was 21,50 ± 0,36 kg / m2. The absolute mass of the fat component\u0000in young men was 14,50 ± 0,68 kg, the mass of the muscle component was 23,50\u0000± 0,36 kg, and the absolute mass of the bone component was 10,09 ± 0,12 kg. The\u0000relative mass of the fat component of young men was 21,48 ± 0,65%, the relative\u0000mass of the muscle component was 37,75 ± 0,51% and the bone component\u0000was 16,31 ± 0,21%. The ongoing urbanization, on the one hand, promotes the unification of people of different ethnic and social groups and cultures, enriching them. On the other hand, it smoothes and even destroys cultural differences, creating multicultural communities. Questions about the similarities or differences in the morphophysiological status of the ethnically diverse population living in the same territory are of interest. The aim of the study is to analyze the morphophysiological and psychological characteristics of students of various ethnicities living in the city of Saransk (on the example of girls).Materials and methods. The work is based on the materials of a comprehensive anthropological survey of students of higher educational institutions in Saransk. Morphological (body height and weight, waist and hip girths, body components), physiological (indicators of cardiovascular, respiratory and musculoskeletal systems, level of adaptive potential) and psychological (level of anxiety, depression, stress resistance, aggressiveness) characteristics of girls of different ethnicity (East Slavic ethnic groups, Mordovains and mixed origin) were evaluated. The total number of participants – 107, aged 17 – 21.Results. According to the average values of morphological signs, the girls of Saransk do not differ from their peers from Europe and North America, and according to physiological indicators they correspond to the established norms. The value of the adaptive potential corresponds to the functional stress. The level of anxiety, depression and aggressiveness can be assessed as average, and according to the indicator of stress resistance, the girls of Saransk belong to the category «propensity to type A» (instability to stress is often manifested). There were no statistically significant differences in morphofunctional and psychological indicators between groups of girls of different ethnic origin.Conclusion. Due to the absence of statistically significant differences in the studied characteristics between groups of girls of different ethnic origin, the identified features can be considered as regional. The purpose of the study is to identify the nature of changes over a 20-year period (from 1993 to 2013) of the main indicators of the physical development of children in the early stages of postnatal ontogenesis. The object of the study consists of 599 children of both sexes (303 boys and 296 girls). The indicators of body length and weight (from birth to 3 years), as well as the head and chest circumference (up to 1 year) were assessed. Anthropometric data were taken from the medical records of the children’s city polyclinic No.1 in Baranovichi (Brest Region, Belarus). With a gradual improvement in the economic status of the country from 1993 to 2013, an increase in body length was observed in children of both sexes (p<0,01) with a relatively stable body weight. The head and chest circumferences became smaller, and in some age periods (from 3 to 9 months) the changes reached a statistically significant level (p<0,001–0,05). Children born in 2003–2004 differ from the others in lower indicators of physical development, especially of the head and chest circumference.
