In Spain, after bending the con-tagion curve, the de-escalation process has begun, by which all productive work activities must be started again, after the forced cessation produced by the State of Alarm, while trying to preserve the security of all citizens in the face of the latent threat of Covid-19. In the Health Centers of the Autonomous Public Health Systems, the patient care services have been modified, in order to obtain a quality care service while trying to guarantee the health of both the clinical-care staff, as of patients. Results and discussion: A series of measures are proposed to stop rhizarthrosis and improve quality of life. There is a conservative treatment and a surgical treatment. ABSTRACT An edentulous state is the total or partial loss of teeth and is mainly caused by caries and periodontal disea-se. Pre-existing systemic diseases must be under strict control prior to dental appointments for a favorable prognosis after treatment. Objective: To restore esthetics, function, and phonetic function in geriatric patients with pre-existing systemic diseases by applying a complete oral rehabilitation protocol. and diabetes was medicated with Glucophage (metformin) and Losartan (hydrochlorothiazide). She presented a superior total edentulous maxilla and a partial edentulous Kennedy class I in the mandible. Treatment was performed in four phases. Phase I corresponded to the proper planning of the clinical case with plaster and virtual models. Phase II corresponded to the surgical phase, in which the U-shaped flap technique was performed and 6 dental implants with a diameter of 3.75 mm x 11.5 mm were placed. (Two conical connection implants (I.e. Morse Alvim) were placed in the anterior regions (13 and 23), and four other conical connection implants (i.e. Drive implants) were used in the posterior regions (14, 16, 24, and 26). Phase III oral rehabilitation the based on gnathological philosophy. Dental endodontics, lithium disilicate veneers, ceramic metal crowns with ERA attachments and removable partial dentures were used. Phase IV corresponded to the execution of an upper hybrid prosthesis with multiunit abutments of different angles. There is little information on the prevalence and spatial distribution of these variations in cases reported with CBCT (Cone-Beam Computed Tomography). The purpose of this review was to analyze the anatomical variations in the mandibular first and second permanent molars with endodontic treatment evaluated with CBCT. Materials and methods: Articles with cases of endodontic treatment in the first or second permanent mandibular molar were selected. The number, spatial distribution of anatomical variations of roots and canals were determined. The number and type of shape alterations were also determined. Results: The highest prevalence regarding number and spatial distribution of root in the first molar was three roots (1M (mesial), 2D (distal)) with 76.5% and four roots (2M, 2D) with 55.6% in second molar. The highest prevalence regarding number and distribution of root canals for the first and second molars was four channels: 1 mesiobuccal, 1 mesiolingual, 1 distobuccal and 1 distolingual, with 30% and 90.9% of the cases selected, respectively. The distribution of shape alterations was 8.7% for gemination and 2.1% for taurodontism. Conclusions: The anatomical variation of roots of the first and second permanent lower molars with the most frequency was three and four respectively. The most frequent anatomic variation of channels was four: 2M and 2D.
