Using microstrip line feeding the monopole antenna is created by utilizing triple strips, a slotted square loop containing square ground plane and two slotted stubs transversely over the diagonal line on the square loop. The optimization of antenna design parameters is furnished four wide impedance bandwidths (IBW). The measured quad IBW at <i>S</i><sub>11</sub> &lt; –10 dB ranges 4.04–6.61, 7.70–7.81, 10.36–18.93, and 19.57–beyond 20 GHz (after 20 GHz, utilizing the available VNA can not be measured IBW). Whereas the simulated IBWs range 4.21–6.23, 8.55–8.85, 10.32–17.25, and 19.20–beyond 30 GHz. The simulated six axial-ratio bandwidths are of 380, 205, 360, 553, 907 and 290 MHz at the center frequencies <i>f</i><sub>CP</sub> = 5.12, 10.78, 11.97, 14.63, 16.85, 28.58 GHz, correspondingly. The measured results match with the simulations by Ansys Electronics Desktop 2020R1 that are additionally confirmed in CST Microwave Studio. The antenna, presented in this paper, is compact, fabricated with the optimal dimension of 20×20×1.6 mm<sup>3</sup>, with 38.49% reduction in size. The channel capacity analysis over a fading channel is essential for realizing this goal. A recently developed model called Beaulieu–Xie fading channel model acquires the flavors of flexibility from Nakagami-m fading parameters and the non-centralized chi-distribution of the Rician fading model, which characterizes both line of sight and non-line of sight channels. The current work presents the channel capacity analysis with adaptive transmission techniques over Beaulieu–Xie fading channels. Various adaptive transmission schemes, such as channel inversion with a fixed-rate, truncated channel inversion with a fixed-rate, and optimal rate adaptation, are evaluated for the Beaulieu–Xie fading channel model. Additionally, the performance of the wireless system in terms of the bit error rate of coherent and non-coherent modulation is derived mathematically for this fading channel. It has been shown by experiments that the far-field boundary does not depend on the pulse duration if the bandwidth of exciting pulse exceeds that of antenna. When measuring in the interference zone, it is possible to separate the direct pulse and the pulse reflected from the underlying surface in time domain at any RP shape of the antennas used. The time window method makes it possible to exclude reflections from the ground and simulate the free space. The energy attenuation typical for the free space has been demonstrated when radiating at raised antennas and using a time window. In this case, there is no interference pattern typical for narrowband signals. It is shown that if the pulse reflected from the ground cannot be eliminated, the attenuation acquires the character of propagation along the underlying terrain.
