The aim is to present the new trends manifested in them, related to the aspect of research and the research methodology. The motive for proceeding to such an overview is dictated by the understanding that knowing the new realities in the Bulgarian studies helps in planning and implementing the policy of the Bulgarian institutions regarding the cooperation with Poland. A review of the most significant publications of recent years is made, which shows that in the Polish Bulgarian studies there is a reorientation of the academic interest - from history to modernity, from the language system to communication and from \"pure\" linguistics to cultural and cognitive linguistics. It is also characteristic that most of the studies are conducted in a comparative Bulgarian-Polish plan. As a proof of this statement, the most significant publications of Polish researchers of the last two decades are commented on. Traditionally, a comparison – whether idiomatized (established) or non-idiomatized – has a semantic structure that can be expressed by the formula Cd – R – Tc – c – Ct, where Cd (comparandum) is a referential expression usually in the subject position, given a specific context, R (relator) is a relational expression (usually a verb) that gives the idiom the character of a predicate, Tc (tertium comparationis) denotes a property, which Cd and Ct have in common (Tc often merges with R), c (comparator) is a formal feature signalling a general relation of similarity (as, in Czech usually jako/jak, in Serbo-Croatian kao/k'o, poput, in Bulgarian като, колкото, сякаш) and Ct (comparatum) is a generalised and usually known model, prototype, standard to which the contextually given referent of Cd is related in terms of its similarity (Čejka, 1992, p. 34 – 35, cf. also Filipec, Čermák, 1985, pp. 217 – 218). The toponymic component is usually part of the comparatum. The diaries, authored by the poet, novelist, literary critic and scientist Petro Soroka, were used as a source base. The actual base consists of comparativemas extracted from these works using the method of continuous sampling. The object of the article is a comparison, and the subject is semantic-functional, linguistic-cultural, neurolinguistic and pragmatic analysis of comparative constructions that make up a specific system. The researched diaries contain introversion and literary parts, each of which expresses the author’s inner world, reflections on nature or thoughts on the literary process. A special subsystem is represented by the epistemological-artistic comparative paradigm. We interpret the paradigm as a model of the world, and we define the comparative paradigm as a set of logical, semantic, functional and ethnocultural models that are appropriately verbalized and make up the system. In general, the comparative paradigm of the Ukrainian language is a complex system. The qualification of the comparative paradigm provides a comprehensive consideration of the phenomenon of comparison. The article provides a linguistic qualification of comparison. The logical types and subtypes of comparative models are determined, the specifics of comparison as a fragment of equivalence are outlined, some ethnocultural codes of the writer like his idea of environment and creativity are characterized, stylistic parameters and communicative aspects as an expansive complex comparative system are outlined. From a typological point of view, we can assign the present passive participle to the category of linguistic phenomena that exist in Bulgarian and Greek, but differ significantly in their meaning and use. It was this fact that generated my interest in the type of participle in question, and the purpose of the present study is, with the help of comparative analysis, to reveal the main similarities and differences in the meanings and use of the present passive participle in Greek and Bulgarian. In the first part of the study, a system-level analysis was performed – the formation, meaning and use of the present passive participles in each of the two languages are presented separately. Even here, significant differences emerge in the characteristics of the studied participles in the two languages. Lexical and semantic components that are repeated in a linguistic context are known as collocations. The verbal collocations occurring inside the parameters of the sentence will be examined in this study. The most common verbs found in the corpus, those used more than 70 times, are used as the basis for this study. Examples include: vij, bëj, dal, hyj, marr and rri. Except for the verbs rri and hyj which came out with 16 meanings, the same verbs were presented with more than 30 meanings in the Dictionary of the Albanian Language. Due to their wide range of meanings and ditransitive nature, the verbs marr and bëj are used in the most consistent collocations. So, they are more likely to be followed by a complement unlike the verbs rri, hyj, dal and vij. The work makes a connection between corpus linguistics and semantics. The methods of Baker (2010) and Sinclair (1991) are applied in this investigation. They base their strategy on how frequently the words x and y are displayed next to one another, setting a spacing of five words to the left and five words to the right of the word x. 76 recordings of speakers from various cities in Kosovo make up the corpus of this study. The Partitur Editor application is used to transcribe recordings. This feature, made the novel important, interesting and challenging to the scholars because it constitutes a literary model that can be studied from different points of view and still provides more new ones. The aim of this paper is to examine the role of the character/s in decoding the hidden meaning layers of the novel by generally applying a formalist approach with a main focus on the structuralist method. These roles will be distinguished by performing a theoretical analysis regarding the involved components in their concretization, by carrying out stylistic analyses to decipher the figurative language and by utilizing these results through interpretive analyses thereby introducing yet another new way of studying the novel’s coded contexts: the first one related to the exposure of the totalitarian dictatorships, the second one related to ethnic identity and the role in terms of the position of Albanians in the socio-political life of the empire and additionally covering an unexplored area in the existing literature. Mark-Alem is delegated multi-functional roles: he becomes a figure, a theme, an idea and a link that holds up the narrative discourse itself. According to the analysis, the core of color is its physical characteristics, layered with others (psychological, emotionally expressive, evaluative, symbolic), which can be variable up to the opposite. French coloronyms are mostly polysemantic, but the meaning often depends on the distribution, on the noun that determines the semantics of the color adjective, and these meanings are often multipolar. The peculiarity of French coloronyms is that they include a large number of derivatives of complex lexemes – names of shades, formed contrary to the rules of French word formation. Opposition relations can include: the semantics of the main color – its shade, direct – figurative meaning, phraseological meanings, connotations, symbols, associations, and so on. French color vocabulary clearly reflects the peculiarities of specific national-cultural world view and is quite active in terms of semantic transformation: some meanings are lost, obsolete, become historicisms or archaisms with a positive or negative color, the symbolism of which is no longer understood. In addition to the linguistic and cultural connotations, there is an individual-subjective, associative one, but the main types of reinterpretation of French coloronyms are metaphor and metonymy. The educational goals of the book transpire in the very essence of the idea that the epistolary theory should be implemented into clear examples. Therefore, types of letter patterns were provided not for mere reproducing but for interpretation and implication. And it is not a coincidence that by including the largest possible collection of examples of human relations – written and used as images of the various aspects of the human connections and interactions – Bozveli and Vaskidovich brought forward their practical epistolary lessons on writing good letters and maintaining a correspondence and etiquette. The themes of the personal letters and fictional stories chosen by the co-authors not only reveal the wide range of possible human relations inside immediate and friend circles but also extol social, civil, and moral virtues. The alluded ethical issues of love, respect, commitment, filial love, clear conscience, kindness, and sincerity, as well as the influence they have or aim to have both on the sender and the addressee, implicitly point out the principles of good behavior at home, at school, and on the street.
