Rojak Malay, characterized by its amalgamation of Malay and English words, poses unique challenges for natural language processing (NLP). Our methodology leverages the combination of various techniques in a predefined order, including English lemmatization using WordNet, translation with GoogleTranslator, stemming using Sastrawi stemmer, normalization using BM_dict.csv dataset and Bahasa Malaysia lemmatization using Malaya to transform Rojak Malay into Standard Malay effectively. The system achieved an accuracy rate of 100% in lemmatizing a random sample of individual words. However, certain limitations were identified, such as challenges in handling code-mixed sentences and English out-of-vocabulary (OOV) words. This paper also discusses the implications and prospects of extending this approach to accommodate a wider range of languages found in the Rojak Malay context.","PeriodicalId":518567,"journal":{"name":"2024 3rd International Conference on Digital Transformation and Applications (ICDXA)","volume":"45 38","pages":"6-10"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140529779","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the paper proposes a door security system using multi-lingual speech recognition techniques for Malay, Chinese, Tamil and English languages. Speech is used as a tool for speech recognition since it contains features that could be trained by neural network to distinguish every voice pattern for users to perform classification. There are several factors that affects the performance of voice recognition, one of them is the background noise. This door security system that uses multi-lingual speech recognition techniques would classify the sound of the speaker by letting them voice out the name of fruits using any commonly used language in Malaysia, and the door security system will perform classification in order to identify whether the voice pattern comes from one of the users in the database. In order to implement this multi-lingual speech recognition door security system, MATLAB software is used as the development platform of this project. Besides, Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) was used as the feature extraction technique and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) was used as the training and matching of system while GoldWave application was used as the recording of audio signal. The experiments run on small dataset shows that the accuracy ranges from 71% to 100%.","PeriodicalId":518567,"journal":{"name":"2024 3rd International Conference on Digital Transformation and Applications (ICDXA)","volume":"68 49","pages":"109-114"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140529739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we presented an investigation of performance into image background removal using the Rembg algorithms incorporating parallel computing techniques including Multithreading and Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA). In the background subtraction algorithm, each pixel of the image is compared with the pixels around it. Thus, it will be difficult to parallelise the system if the pixel is being accessed at the same time; otherwise, it will lead to data corruption or inconsistent results. CUDA and Multithreading are utilised in 2, 4 and 8 threads on two different hardware specification machines. Results show the proposed work achieves a maximum of 5.3092 and 5.7913 speed up value in CUDA and Multithreading respectively. In a nutshell, dynamic thread allocation and advanced load balancing algorithms that adapt to changing workloads in real-time can ensure that the computational workload is distributed evenly among threads and GPU cores.","PeriodicalId":518567,"journal":{"name":"2024 3rd International Conference on Digital Transformation and Applications (ICDXA)","volume":"48 10","pages":"237-242"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140529771","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The tourism sector is at the bottom of the ranking which has experienced the most drastic decline in income. There is a positive side that can be learned from the post-pandemic conditions, several tourism sectors are starting to innovate with IT technology which has made tourism able to survive to this day. However, unfortunately, this IT technology innovation can only be implemented for tourism and medium to large scale purposes, but for tourism in local and remote areas this cannot be done due to limited human resources, facilities in the temple area and around the temple, lack of technology. support and limited marketing regarding Singosari temple. Especially for heritage tourism such as temple buildings which according to today's millennial children are less interesting to visit, because they think they are outdated and old school. This is the background for researchers to develop the application “Singosari Temple Interactive Virtual Reality Tour System for Rebranding Heritage Tourism in Malang”. This application aims to preserve Indonesian culture and help rebranding and marketing tourism, especially heritage tourism in Malang, with the help of technology, namely Virtual Reality, in accordance with suggestions from Singosari Temple experts. So it can attract the interest of not only millennial children but also all ages, from domestic to foreign visitors because bilingual languages are available. The results of this paper are that Scrum is very suitable to be implemented in this Virtual Reality research because it supports rapid change and by using the UAT testing method the average user satisfaction is 92.1% (usability aspect 91.52%, information quality aspect 90.97%, and interaction quality aspects 94.06%).","PeriodicalId":518567,"journal":{"name":"2024 3rd International Conference on Digital Transformation and Applications (ICDXA)","volume":"74 25","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140529580","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
