Sukorejo village belongs to the high ground movement zone which has a high degree of vulnerability to soil movement. The purpose of the study was to determine efforts to increase the capacity of the community in facing landslide disasters through the preparation of evacuation standard operating procedures (SOPs).  The data collection of this study used interview, observation, documentation, and geographic information systems (GIS) methods. Data analysis is carried out with the approach of spatial analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the preparation of evacuation SOPs is very important to increase the capacity of the community during landslide emergency response. The recommendations given are the need to add an Early Warning System (EWS) tool, install evacuation route signs, and gathering points in landslide-prone areas. In addition, the community also needs to increase awareness and preparedness in the face of possible landslides. The study sample consisted of 523 students from the Economics/Business and Engineering disciplines, who participated in the survey by responding to questionnaires based on the De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale (DJGLS) and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS - 21) indicators. The findings of this study indicate that while social loneliness meets the validation standards, emotional loneliness is incongruent with the context and study participants in Vietnam. The final results reveal a positive correlation between loneliness and depression (r = 0.42, P-value < 0.005). Subsequently, the research team provides recommendations that college students should actively participate in social and recreational activities, maintain relationships with friends and family to alleviate social loneliness, thereby minimizing the likelihood of developing depression. Not only learners, but the number of female teachers also outsmart the male teachers. However, this kind of gender distribution is not something specific to Japanese language education. Research has highlighted that in many parts of the world male has less interest in learning languages than female. Some studies prove that boys think that learning foreign languages would not lead them to lucrative careers and some believe that language learning is not something 'real boys' do or are good at. Nonetheless, when considering the number of Sri Lankans who apply for visa to enter Japan, male population is significantly higher than females. In recent years specialists in Information Technology have more tendency to get job placements in Japan. Further, in 2019 Japan has opened its doors to Sri Lanka for a visa category called Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) which offers 4 employment fields from Sri Lanka. To apply for SSW visa, one should clear a language competency test and skill test of the relevant field. Does the increase in employment opportunities in Japan has any impact on the attitudes of language learning among male population? Thus, this paper explores current situation of the Japanese Language education in Sri Lanka focusing on gender distribution. Both quantitative and qualitative research methods are used in gathering and analysing data. The findings show that though there is a growth of male population among learners the attitudes towards learning Japanese are not changing as fast as the rapidly growing enthusiasm to work in Japan. Using secondary data sources from scholarly publications, studies, and official AU papers, the research takes a qualitative approach. The research investigates the efficacy of the AU's projects and the challenges faced in resolving conflicts by examining the organization's efforts in conflict prevention, mediation, peacekeeping, and peace-building. The findings clarified the constraints caused by political meddling, a lack of political will, finance, and resources, the complexity of African conflicts, and regional and global dynamics on the continent. Notwithstanding these difficulties, the research emphasizes how the AU may support conflict resolution by utilizing its mediation procedures, early warning systems, and alliances with domestic and foreign organizations. The Rohingya refugees, who have faced severe persecution in Myanmar, found themselves in refugee camps in Bangladesh, where they initially had limited access to technology and the internet due to legal restrictions. However, by using the Ethnoscape and Mediascape of globalization theory devised by Arjun Appadurai, the study aims to understand the unlawful digital interventions in the camps during the Covid-19 pandemic. This unauthorized access to digital platforms played a crucial role in raising awareness among the Rohingya population during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study conducted in three Rohingya camps employed qualitative methods, including focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, and observations, to understand the significance of unauthorized digital platform usage, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Adolescent males and females with smartphones acquired knowledge about COVID-19 through social media platforms like Facebook, Imo, WhatsApp, and YouTube, leading to intergenerational debates within the community, as the elderly relied more on television broadcasts. The study highlighted the critical role of social media in shaping the community's knowledge and perceptions of the pandemic and to take precautionary measures, though they encountered misleading content. This study aimed at assessing the participation of both students and non-student youth in outdoor recreational activities so as to add knowledge by assessing students' and non-student youth’s awareness of the benefits of outdoor recreational activities, attitudes towards participating in outdoor recreational activities, and levels of satisfaction from participating in outdoor recreational activities among them. The study used a cross-sectional design, and purposive sampling was employed to include 120 respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires comprised of both closed and open-ended questions and data were analyzed using SPSS computer software together with an independent T–test to compare means of variables but descriptive data were analyzed and presented in frequencies and percentages. The results show that 55.7% of respondents were aware of the benefits of outdoor recreational activities that help in healthy and physical gains. The Majority of respondents about 44% responded that their attitude in participating in outdoor recreational activities is due to having fun with friends and family. Also, results found that there were no significant differences between male and female satisfaction in participating in outdoor recreation activities at (t88 = 1.329, P = 0.187). In Tanzania this problem exists in a variety of forms and is deeply rooted in cultural, educational and social practices, often mixed with, and difficult to distinguish from normal measures of correcting and disciplining children. This study is undertaken to describe the patterns of child abuse (physical, emotional and sexual) as experienced by university students in Tanzania in their childhood. The study also aims at obtaining deeper understanding of the different types of perpetrators who interacted with, and inflicted abuse to children in the family and community at large.\u0000Data comes from a representative sample drawn from university students (n=470) in one university in Tanzania in March 2019. Structured questionnaires were used to collect data. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze data.\u0000The results show multiple experiences of physical, emotional and sexual child abuse for both male and female students. The findings also indicate that family members, teachers, peers, and motor-cycle drivers were involved in the abuse of children consistent with similar studies which categorize such groups of people as perpetrators of child abuse (Moore et al, 2007; UNICEF Tanzania, 2011; Kisanga, 2012; McCrann, 2017) \u0000 The study recommends that behaviors of child abuse be given due attention to ensure proper care, normal development and guarantee protection of children.
