The experiment employed a one-way ANOVA followed by post hoc analysis using Tukey’s Honest Significant Difference (TukeyHSD) test to determine significant differences between the coatings. The results indicated that coatings A, B, C and D have a significant effect on wire conductivity (F (3, 16) =29.79, p<0.05). Post hoc analysis revealed significant differences between the following pairs of coatings: C-A, D-A, C-B, and D-B (p<0.05). These findings suggest that the choice of coating significantly impacts wire conductivity and may guide manufacturers in selecting coatings based on specific conductivity requirements.","PeriodicalId":515651,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Education, Management, and Technology","volume":"49 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141817986","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study assessed open defecation among primary schools in Sokoto Nigeria using a survey study. 300 questionnaires were filled during a random visit of primary schools in the Sokoto. The possible causes/ factors that led to open defecation in primary schools in Sokoto, Nigeria are: absence of water supply (40.0%), dilapidated toilets (40.0%), and untidy toilets; therewith, no school was found without toilet (0.0%). Regards to practice of open defecation in primary schools in Sokoto, Nigeria; in majority of the schools visited (80.0%), there was presence of feces in some parts of the schools’ surroundings, and minority of the schools (20.0%) had no feces on their surroundings when visited. Mostly the feces found was dry (80.0%), and few are fresh (20.0%). Majority (50.0%) of the schools had no any water supply in their premises, 25.0% had protected water supply, and 25.0% had unprotected water supply at the premises. Possible solutions to control open defecation among students of primary schools were suggested: the majority of the respondents (41.7%) suggested provision of enough toilets, and guidance/ health education (33.3%); and minority among them (25.0%) suggested provision of clean water supply. Governments should provide enough water supply, enough toilets and related hardware, and there is need for cleaners and proper health ed8cation of students/ pupils on importance of hygiene and sanitation.","PeriodicalId":515651,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Education, Management, and Technology","volume":"50 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141818963","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two research questions and two hypotheses were formulated and tested at a 0.05 level of significance. A structured questionnaire was used to collect relevant data from the respondents. The population of the study was 1503 comprising Teachers and members of School-Based Management Committees (SBMC). The sample size of the study was 350 and a random sampling technique was employed using lucky dip to select 12 participating schools for this study. The research questions were answered using mean and standard deviation and a t-test was used to analyze the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The finding of this study established that there is no significant difference between the teachers and members of SBMC on the challenges and strategies of SBMCs in the provision of infrastructure at Yobe State Junior Secondary School. The study established that There was no significant difference between the mean rating of teachers and members of SBMC on the roles of SBMCs in the provision of infrastructure Yobe State Junior Secondary School. This study recommended that SBMCs at the school level should endeavor to work hard in mobilizing members of their communities. Sanctions and punishment for the non-involvement of SBMC in the school’s activities like monitoring and eval__uation, supervision of school activities, and School administrators should continue to work hard and maximize their efforts in trying to make their SBMCs more organized, enlightened and highly mobilized.","PeriodicalId":515651,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Education, Management, and Technology","volume":"6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141646246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study adopted a survey research design and was carried out in northeast Nigeria. The Zone includes the states of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe, and is situated at latitude 6.260 East and longitude 4.920 North East of Nigeria. The population of the study was 621 comprising 128 MVMW trade teachers, 126 administrators (Principals and two Vice Principals), and 367 students from the 42 science and technical colleges in Northeast Nigeria. The study adopted Simple random sampling to select a sample size of 234 respondents using Krejcie and Morgan (1970) sample size table. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire titled: “Efficacy of Vocational Training Programs in Motor Vehicle and Mechanic Works Trade Questionnaire, (EVTPMVMWTQ)\". The data for the study was analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions. The findings of the study revealed that the curriculum adequately covers essential topics, practical training facilities are well-equipped, instructors demonstrate expertise, safety protocols are emphasized, and opportunities for hands-on experience are provided. The findings further revealed that the high agreement levels, with mean scores above 4.0, across various aspects of the training program in Motor Vehicle and Mechanic Works (MVMW), suggest a positive perception among students regarding the effectiveness of the program. It was recommended that the government should upgrade and provide modern automotive equipment and tools to ensure vocational training programs have access to current resources. Collaborate with industry partners to facilitate equipment provision and ensure practical training aligns with industry standards.","PeriodicalId":515651,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Education, Management, and Technology","volume":"8 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140744349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
