However, at present, local application-oriented universities and colleges are faced with many deficiencies and difficulties in supporting the strategy of rural revitalization. The research results show that there are some problems in local application-oriented universities and colleges, such as the lack of close connection between students’ cultivation and rural revitalization needs, weakness in scientific and technological innovation ability, and imperfection of social service mechanisms. This paper takes new quality productive forces as the breakthrough point and clarifies its connotation and characteristics. At the same time, it analyzes the difficulties of local application-oriented universities and colleges in serving the strategy of rural revitalization, to explore the corresponding solution. To provide a reference for local application-oriented universities and colleges to better support Rural Revitalization Strategy, this paper puts forward the urgent need to renew the concept and the mode of student cultivation, optimize the layout of academic disciplines, and cultivate high-level innovative undergraduates through the deep integration of production, university, and research.","PeriodicalId":512958,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Research","volume":"78 16","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141101572","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is pointed out that the vast majority of book versions published by the publishing department affiliated to Peking University Library are printed in lead, and the books it publishes cover almost all disciplines, especially humanities and social sciences, many of which later became the foundation works of corresponding disciplines. The quality of the books published by modern Peking University Library is high, and they are distributed both on and off campus. Even today, this point has reference significance.","PeriodicalId":512958,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Research","volume":"51 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140965588","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The gilt silver and bamboo-joint bronze fumigation stove, with its continuous Boshan design, towering bamboo joints, and vivid carvings, reflects the two major characteristics of “beauty” and “utility” of the Ming Dynasty artifacts. This article mainly focuses on the transition from three-dimensional to two-dimensional imagery, the transformation of symbolic meanings into spatial analogues, and the comparative analysis of foreign and domestic shapes. The intention is to explore the morphological characteristics of Ming Dynasty artifacts through image research.","PeriodicalId":512958,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Research","volume":"59 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140983459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the establishment of postgraduate programmes continue to increase, the volume of applications expected to be reviewed by the national Eswatini Human and Health Research Review Board (EHHRRB) continue to increase. The capacity of the EHHRRB is in itself not adequate for the load. High load of reviews suggest that not enough time is spent on each application. Hence universities have to carry some of this burden by reviewing their student applications or even applications from researchers in the country. It has been observed that universities themselves have either poorly constituted ethics committees or ones that are non-functional. This paper attempts to review different models of university-based committees that may be adopted by universities in Eswatini. Three models are discussed, the single central committee model, the devolved committee model and the rotating committee models. The paper discusses strengths and weaknesses of each model. The rotating committee model encapsulates the strengths of the former two models while suggesting how this model may avoid their weaknesses. The paper does not in any way entail to prescribe any model for any university but merely elucidates on the pros and cons of each in order to assist universities make informed decisions on which model best suites their set up.","PeriodicalId":512958,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Research","volume":"985 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140748976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Under the guidance of Professor Luis Duno Gottberg at Rice University, the study scrutinizes the complex interplay between traditional socio-cultural norms and evolving gender perceptions within these cinematic narratives. Central to our inquiry is the exploration of how a distinctly Chinese interpretation of the Male Gaze and entrenched Confucian patriarchal values shape the portrayal of women, signaling a negotiation between historical and cultural influences and modern identities. Employing a qualitative research methodology, this study integrates a comprehensive literature review, focusing on feminist film theory and its application within the Chinese context. Content analysis of selected films is conducted to uncover recurring visual and narrative themes, character development, and gender dynamics.","PeriodicalId":512958,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Asian Research","volume":"9 4-5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139846970","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
