The broad objective of this study was to ascertain the effect of Treasury Single Account (TSA) on public sector performance in selected parastatals in South East Nigeria. Consequently, four research questions and four hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Survey design was adopted for the study. Area of the study is South East Nigeria, population of the study was 1,548 staff drawn from Boards of Internal Revenues (BIRs) of the five States in South East. Stratified random sampling was used to derive 713 respondents for the study. Instrument for data collection was self-structured questionnaire. Mean and standard deviation was used to answer research questions while ANOVA and Z-test statistic was used to analyze hypotheses. The result based on empirical analysis revealed that treasury single account had positive effect on fraud detection in Parastatals in South East Nigeria, treasury single account had positive effect on revenue mobilization in Parastatals in South East Nigeria, treasury single account had positive effect on blockage of financial leakages in Parastatals in South East Nigeria and treasury single account had positive effect on financial savings in Parastatals in South East Nigeria. Thus, the study concluded that fraud detection, revenue mobilization, financial leakages and financial savings have been affected in Parastatals in South East Nigeria as result of Treasury single account (TSA). Based on the findings, the following recommendations among others were proffered: Government should ensure timely release of operational funds to encourage MDAs to support the TSA Policy. This can be achieved through the use of treasury bills (T-bills) or other short-term borrowing instruments aimed at offsetting the impact of TSA implementation on government cash flows and there should be full implementation of TSA in all states ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). Partial implementation in many states as was observed by the researcher during field work should be discouraged. The gains of TSA cannot be overemphasized. It conceptualized political parties and national integration. The study raised two objectives namely: Ascertain how All Progressive Congress (APC) politics has promoted national integration in Nigeria between 2015 and 2023. Determine how All Progressive Congress (APC) politics has undermined national integration in Nigeria. Systems theory was used as the theory for the study. Ex-post facto design was used. Data used for the study were derived through secondary sources. Thematic content analysis was used to analyze the data. The findings of the study show that APC has made some contributions towards national integration in Nigeria. The finding of the study also shows that these efforts have their challenges which militated against them in the realization of their objectives. While the efforts were intended to achieve national integration, solidarity and unity, it ended up creating disunity among the people, and marginalization of one section by the other thereby leading to intense struggle for power between and or among people from different ethnic groups. The study concluded that due to the nature of party politics, APC as a political party has not been able to live up to expectation as a veritable instrument for national integration. Secondly, some of the party leaders are more powerful than the political party itself and as such their selfish personal interest overrides the interest of the party and the nation as the case may be. The study recommended that political parties must run issue-based campaigns devoid of hate speech or disinformation to restore their integrity in the eyes of citizens. Once elected and/ or appointed to political office, party members must follow through on the promises made during the campaign period. Also, political parties must be held accountable for their abuses of the system and failure to represent the interests of the Nigerian people. However, the proliferation of hate speech poses a pressing challenge for society, individuals, policymakers, and researchers alike, both on the continent and globally. Addressing this issue necessitates comprehensive studies to identify and combat hate speech effectively. This paper conducts a systematic review of literature in this domain, concentrating on methodologies such as word embedding, machine learning, deep learning, and cutting-edge technologies. Specifically focusing on the past six years of research, this review highlights gaps, challenges, and advancements in hate speech detection techniques. This study used a crosssectional survey design, employing both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were collected and processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 22.0). The data were coded, entered into a computer, and summarized using frequency tables to identify errors and make necessary edits. The study included a total of 208 participants, with the findings presented as percentages. The study revealed that the number of female teachers was lower compared to male teachers, with females accounting for 45% and males for 55%. This disparity was attributed to the fact that many schools in villages had fewer female teachers, who often had spouses or lived separately in towns, resulting in limited teaching availability. Additionally, 43.4% of respondents had been in the same school for 4-7 years, while 26.6% had been in the same school for at least 10 years, suggesting a potential repetition of experiences year after year. Furthermore, 16.6% of teachers were separated and 20% were single, which could potentially interfere with their duties and impact student performance. Among the respondents, 8.4% were widowed and 5% had divorced, indicating that they had to handle everything on their own, potentially leading to less focus on their assigned duties in the classroom and resulting in poor student performance. Additionally, 50% of respondents were married, although some were not located in the same workplace as their spouses, making it challenging to concentrate on school assignments. The study emphasized the importance of equipping head teachers with leadership knowledge and skills in order to exert influence on their schools and academic work. African drama, like other forms of African art, reflects the unique cultural, social and political identity of the African continent and people. This serves as a vehicle to convey the experiences, struggles and triumphs of the African people. Various playwrights have emerged from the African continent and each of these playwrights highlight the uniqueness of Africa through different perspectives in their plays. This paper explores the striking features that define African consciousness in African drama. Of these, 160 respondents, representing 20%, either did not return or submitted incomplete questionnaires. Utilizing Cluster Mean Analysis based on Likert’s Five Point Scale, the study addressed its research inquiries. Additionally, it critically reviewed existing theoretical analyses related to the subject matter. The results indicate that the Naira redesign policy did not curtail illegal activities or corruption, stabilize exchange rates, facilitate easy access to production and investment loans, prevent vote buying or monitor campaign funding, lower interest rates, or increase financial inclusion while reducing the unbanked population. However, the policy did reveal currency holdings previously outside commercial bank vaults, aided security agencies in combating banditry and ransom incidents, but contributed to low savings and investment, resulting in citizen poverty. The study recommends a necessary redesign, production, and circulation of the Naira, aligning with globally accepted Central Banking standards. This call is particularly crucial considering the lack of such an exercise by the CBN for almost two decades. Moreover, this redesign process should occur concurrently with the withdrawal of the old currency.
