Within universities, the dominant Eurocentric curriculum forms the majority of the existing university curriculum, which has a significant impact on minority ethnic students. The decolonisation agenda can therefore be described as an attempt to diversify curriculum content, incorporate more perspectives of people of colour, foster a sense of belonging for people of colour, and provide an inclusive environment. However, it seemed that only one in five universities had truly attempted to address the legacy of harmful problematic colonialism. Thus, this research seeks to explore the state of and obstacles to advancing the decolonisation agenda in higher education, such as language challenges, sense of belonging, and engagement of students in the classroom, through a comparative study of these two groups, from the perspectives and experiences of British minority ethnic and international students. To explore this comparison, I used semi-structured interviews. The main findings of this research found that international students face greater challenges in finding a sense of belonging than British minority ethnic students. The study also revealed that the advancement of the decolonisation agenda at this university does provide a very comfortable sense of belonging and an inclusive environment for the majority of coloured students, but racial exclusion and a lack of voice can still be present on a small percentage of the campus. Overall, this research presents a new direction on the topic, deconstructing the term ethnic minority in the hope of gaining a more comprehensive and in-depth perspective to assess the progress of this agenda.","PeriodicalId":512147,"journal":{"name":"Research and Advances in Education","volume":"64 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139638806","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Universities provide ideological and political education throughout the entire process, in order to enhance talent cultivation quality. Focusing on the connotation and requirements of “ideological and political education in the curriculum” and combining the logic of archival participation in ideological and political education in curriculum, this research adopted questionnaire surveys to explore the practical effectiveness of ideological and political education in university archives museums in China. The aim of this research was to improve the construction model of ideological and political education in university curricula and enhance the in-depth implementation of “comprehensive education.”","PeriodicalId":512147,"journal":{"name":"Research and Advances in Education","volume":"34 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139633137","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Quantitative studies have not been undertaken in several nations; Hashemite kingdom of Jordan included. Investing in soft skills training is essential for creating a high-performance work culture. One approach that helps businesses attain a high-quality work culture is training. To be successful in today’s business world, you need a blend of hard and soft skills. The term “soft talents” is often used to refer to a wide range of qualities, such as self-awareness, the ability to take criticism without personal attack, and the capacity to get along well with others. The goals of this research are probed using quantitative methods. The research is cross-sectional in nature, with data obtained from 85 participants via the use of both descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Based on the results of the correlation and regression analysis, it was shown that the training technique has a 52% effect on graduates’ employability, while soft skills have a 58% effect on graduates’ employability on their own. The influence of soft skills on learning performance has been quantified at 64%, with the impact of training methods at 59%.","PeriodicalId":512147,"journal":{"name":"Research and Advances in Education","volume":"83 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139635252","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
