It is not possible to provide a high level of security access in security systems without the use of technology. Facial recognition and voice recognition technologies are encountered in many applications in every area of our lives. In this study, a sample application was developed by using a combination of face recognition and voice recognition technologies to create a security system. The Speech.dll library was used to control voice commands and the EmguCV libraries for face recognition. The application was developed in C # programming language. In this application, a security system with a very controlled structure was developed due to the importance of security systems. With the developed application, any high-security operation can be carried out anywhere with computer control. In the developed application, a method with two controls was proposed to provide security control of any system.","PeriodicalId":509439,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on New Trends in Applied Sciences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139191481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, the parking space for each car may be narrowed, due to increase the number of parking spaces. As a result, parking spaces become narrower and accidents in the parking lot caused by inexperienced drivers are increasing. Thus, driving assistance functions such as automatic parking systems that perform parking tasks on behalf of the driver have recently become widespread. Facilities such as shopping malls and coin-operated parking lots have small parking spaces and are difficult to park. It is expected that the number of accidents caused by inexperienced drivers will decrease. In this paper, we propose a new method to search for a path that allows parking in a narrow parking environment from the start position to the parking target location by generating a path based on map information, arcs and straight lines. We propose a path generation method that is closer to human decision-making by effectively using arcs and straight lines.","PeriodicalId":509439,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on New Trends in Applied Sciences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139192203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One can see that estimation of self-position and mapping are important for an autonomous mobile robot. As one approach to do this, GPS (Global Positioning System) based self-positioning methods have been proposed. However, GPS-based method has disadvantage that positioning is difficult in the environment where radio waves cannot be received. On the other hand, it is well known that SLAM can perform self-positioning by sensing the external environment based on LiDAR sensors, cameras and other devices. Since SLAM does not require online communication, estimate of self-position and mapping can be performed without being affected by the driving environment. FastSLAM is one of the SLAM algorithms, and samples the path using a particle filter. Each particle represents one possible motion path of robots in the particle filter, and the observed information is used to calculate the weight of each particle and evaluate each path. In FastSLAM, when self-location is determined, a particle is selected by comparing its likelihood as evaluated by the likelihood function. Since this depends on observed information, the reliability of the estimate depends on the accuracy of the sensor. Thus, there is possibility that there are more useful particles among those not selected. In this paper, we propose a new FastSLAM algorithm that selects multiple candidates of particles in FastSLAM algorithm. In the proposed approach, multiple candidates are stored and estimates of self-position is determined by using multiple candidates in the next step. By maintaining multiple particles, more robust self-position estimation and mapping can be performed comparing with the conventional FastSLAM. In this paper, we show the proposed algorithm and numerical simulations are shown to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":509439,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on New Trends in Applied Sciences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139195689","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since 2019, several reported attacks have been specifically aimed at exploiting vulnerabilities in medical network protocols like 'DICOM' and 'HL7,' as well as file formats, particularly those related to digital imaging and medical communications. While numerous articles delve into subjects such as security and blockchain, they often disregard the significant role that human errors play in compromising security. Human errors within hospital computer systems can lead to substantial implications for both patient care and data security. This article delves into the various forms of human errors that can occur within such systems and assesses their potential consequences on the overall effectiveness and security of healthcare information management. Harnessing waste heat from various sources, such as exhaust gases from internal combustion engines, represents a vital avenue for improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions. In light of this, the present study introduces a comprehensive model for evaluating the performance of thermoelectric generators in heat recovery from diesel engine exhaust, shedding light on the potential of this technology to contribute to sustainable energy solutions. In this study, a model is presented for evaluating a thermoelectric generator's performance in heat recovery. The model is validated using experimental data from the literature. In this setup, 14 thermoelectric modules are placed at both the bottom and top of a rectangular gas channel of a diesel engine to recover heat from the exhaust gas. The hot head is heated by the exhaust gas, while the cold head is cooled by water, maintaining a constant temperature of 293 K. However, the temperature of the hot head varies depending on the engine's speed and load. The study investigates 12 different engine operating modes, including three motor speed modes (1000, 1500, and 2000 rpm) and five motor load modes (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, and 1.0 MPa). Numerical analysis is performed concurrently with finite element simulations. The numerical and experimental finite element results are compared, and the findings confirm the consistency of the results.","PeriodicalId":509439,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on New Trends in Applied Sciences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139192622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
