Reliable retrieval of near surface concentrations of parameters such as Chlorophyll-a, SST & TSM in various aquatic ecosystems with broad ranges of trophic needs has long been a complex issue. In this study the C2RCC processor has been applied that has been tested for its accuracy across different bio optical regimes in inland & coastal waters. Satellite images for the same period were also collected and analysed using the C2RCC processing sequence to retrieve values of parameters such as the depth of water, surface reflectance, water temperature, inherent optical properties (IOPs), salinity, chlorophyll-a and total suspended matter (TSM) using the SNAP software. During the 2017-2020 season, in situ sampling from specific locations and laboratory water quality analysis were carried out. The OLCI retrieved results were then trained and validated using the in situ datasets. It was observed that the highest amount of TSM was recorded in Diamond Harbour during the pre-monsoon, in the year 2018 (301.40 mgL-1 in-situ value, and 308.54 mg L-1 estimated value). Similarly, chlorophyll-a had higher concentrations during the monsoon season (3.03 mg m-3, in-situ, and 2.96 mg m-3, estimated) in Fraserganj and Sagar south points. Very good fitted correlation results for all seasons between Chl-a, r = 0.829 and TSM, r = 0.924 were found during the comparisons of OLCI and in situ results. The high level of correlation highlights the importance of both primary and secondary data in understanding any dynamic system properly. Finally, the result shows that the water quality model outperforms conventional techniques and OLCI chl-a and TSM products. This paper empirically investigates a reliable remote sensing method for estimating coastal TSM and chl-a concentrations and supports the use of OLCI data in ocean colour remote sensing.

The two-dimensional velocity field is inverted through Bayesian\u0000inversion to estimate fault geometry and kinematic parameters of the MHT along the\u0000central Himalaya. The modeling results reveal that: (1) MHT is fully locked in the upper\u0000flat (0-9 km), partially locked along the mid-crustal ramp (15-21 km), and it is creeping\u0000in the deeper flat (> 21 km); (2) there is an insignificant slip rate of MHT\u0000along the locked-to-creeping transition zone, indicating its partially coupled/locked\u0000behavior; (3) along the deeper flat of the MHT, the estimated creeping rate is ~16.3\u0000mm/yr, ~14.7 mm/yr, and ~14.3 mm/yr along western, central, and eastern Nepal,\u0000respectively; and (4) along the MHT on the upper crust, the modeled locking width\u0000turns out to be 97 km, 106 km, and 129 km in the western, central, and eastern Nepal,\u0000respectively. In addition, the posterior probability distribution of the locking width\u0000exhibits a bimodal Gaussian distribution coinciding with the two ramp geometry of the\u0000MHT along the western Nepal. Along the foothills of the Higher Himalaya, the inferred\u0000locking line is also aligned to the estimated maximum shear strain concentration and\u0000observed seismicity along the central Himalaya. With a general agreement to the\u0000previous geodetic results, geological estimates, and background seismicity, our\u0000findings provide a promising avenue of the contemporary crustal deformation along the\u0000Nepal Himalaya. The estimated inversion results in a Bayesian framework exhibit\u0000updated fault kinematics of the MHT and hence provides valuable inputs for seismic\u0000hazard assessment along the central Himalaya.

Moreover, existing TDIP instruments generally output only the apparent chargeability, without providing complete secondary field information. To increase the robustness of TDIP method against interference and obtain more detailed secondary field information, an improved data-processing algorithm is proposed here. This method includes an efficient digital notch filter which can effectively eliminate all the main components of the power line interference. Hardware model of this filter was constructed and Vhsic Hardware Description Language code for it was generated using Digital Signal Processor Builder. In addition, a time-location method was proposed to extract secondary field information in case of unexpected data loss or failure of the synchronous technologies. Finally, the validity and accuracy of the method and the notch filter were verified by using the Cole-Cole model implemented by Simulink software. Moreover, indoor and field tests confirmed the application effect of the algorithm in the fieldwork.
