It takes a sharp turn taking Oliver back to Mr. Brownlow as an adopted son. Dickens gives the boy a full circle of reason from the birth of uncertainty to life of certainty by making good win over evil, of course with the sacrifice of Nancy. With the characters like Charley Bates, Jack Dawkins, Fagin, Bill Sikes, Old Sally, Nancy, Mr. Brownlow, Mrs. Bedwin, Mrs. Maylie and many, the author reveals the systems and influences that lead them to make certain decisions that have altered Oliver’s life. When Oliver's mother dies after giving him birth, she disappears unidentified. Considering her death without a marriage ring on her finger, she is assumed to be unmarried and thus considered dishonored. As a baby boy, Oliver is seen as unworthy and is kept oppressed by the systems in place of helping him. As a child, Oliver Twist is accommodated in a children orphanage. The wording like, ‘less-than, inhuman, subhuman,’ alone reveals the way orphaned children are treated. Once he is old enough to work, at only nine years old, he is sent to a workhouse. These workhouses are meant to help the poor, but through Oliver's experiences, the readers can understand that they use the poor as bonded labour while greedily using and abusing them. Although Nancy is at first guilty in the crimes against Oliver, it is revealed that she has suffered in similar ways. She attempts to help Oliver and this sends Bill Sikes into an uncontrollable rage. Her murder reveals Bill's cruelty and draws sympathy for Nancy. Unlike her friends, Nancy tries to turn her life around, acting in kindness to save the boy. Although Oliver suffered throughout the book, his desire for to be good leads him to salvation with the honorable Mr. Brownlow. The unrestrained cruelty and corruption of Bill Sikes and Fagin led to their deaths. The author has martyred Nancy but punishes the characters that choose to continue to practice crime and violence. At the end, the good characters enjoy and the bad characters suffer.","PeriodicalId":508408,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"8 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141797782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Every other elected government in Kerala supports the caste colonies, a physical manifestation of the institutionalised caste system that continues to marginalise communities under the guise of progress. Post-colonial Dalit politics in Kerala evokes memories of these communities, with images of historical heroes emerging with unequal significance. Concrete statues, often depicting historical icons and leaders, pay homage to prominent figures like Ayyankali, who championed the cause of Dalit rights. These statues serve as reminders of their contributions to the ongoing discourse against discrimination, acting as catalysts for community empowerment and the nurturing of a strong Dalit identity. The aim of this paper is to examine how concrete statues started to emerge as a new trend of Dalit assertion in these colonies as well as in the post-colonial visual field in Kerala. It also inquires how, by becoming the focal points for community gatherings, celebrations, and discussions on social issues, the statues inspired pride, unity, and collective action within the Dalit community.","PeriodicalId":508408,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"64 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141807374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A positive workplace culture, characterized by clear and accurate communication, is essential for employees to perform their duties effectively. Misunderstandings and inefficiencies often arise from unclear communication and inadequate HRM practices. The primary research question guiding this study is: \"What is the impact of HRM on employees' awareness and organizational capacity at AIB?\" Sub-questions include: \"How does HRM influence employee productivity?\" and \"What is the effect of HRM on employee efficiency?\" The hypotheses posit that HRM positively impacts employee awareness, organizational capacity, productivity, and efficiency. \u0000Methodologically, the study employs both primary and secondary data collection techniques. Primary data were gathered through the distribution of 50 questionnaires to AIB employees in Kabul, utilizing a Likert scale to measure responses. Secondary data were sourced from related articles, electronic websites, journals, and research reports. Random sampling techniques were used to select participants who were properly briefed on completing the questionnaires. \u0000The findings indicate that HRM significantly enhances employee productivity, awareness, and organizational capacity at AIB. Additionally, HRM improves daily operational efficiency, customer service quality, and the effectiveness of information systems. By addressing previous organizational challenges, HRM enables employees to maximize the benefits from increased awareness and capacity, ultimately contributing to the bank's overall performance.","PeriodicalId":508408,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"25 14","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141816972","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"Relationship Between Exchange Rate and Inflation in Afghanistan","authors":"Ahmad Zamir Jamal, Mujtaba Khairkhwa","doi":"10.55544/ijrah.4.4.17","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.55544/ijrah.4.4.17","url":null,"abstract":"Afghanistan is an import dependent country and has been facing perpetual trade balance deficit for decades. In case of imperfect competition in the market or existence of market monopoly, there is a higher chance of reflecting the exchange rate changes on the prices of the goods. In Addition, countries with low level of domestic production and higher amounts of imports usually experience higher degree of the exchange rate pass-through effect on inflation. Countries with high import volumes and low export levels often face a deficit in foreign currency inflows and an excess in outflows. These countries need substantial foreign currency to purchase and import goods from both neighboring and international markets, increasing domestic demand for foreign currencies and consequently leading to domestic currency depreciation. This study investigated the relationship between exchange rates and inflation in Afghanistan, examining how exchange rates impact inflation and the benefits associated with exchange rate mechanisms. The primary research questions include: What is the relationship between exchange rates and inflation in Afghanistan? How does the exchange rate influence inflation in the country? What are the benefits of exchange rate systems? The hypothesis posits that higher inflation typically depresses a country's currency value and that exchange rates directly affect inflation. Additionally, exchange rates determine the value of currency exchanges between different nations. This research aims to elucidate the relationship between exchange rates and inflation in Afghanistan, assess the impact of exchange rates on inflation, and explore the benefits of exchange rate systems. The methodology involves a binary system and utilizes secondary data collected from books, websites, and research papers. Findings indicate that Afghanistan's reliance on imports results in a persistent trade balance deficit, with a significant portion of goods, especially non-food items, being imported due to insufficient domestic production. To import goods, Afghanistan requires foreign currencies, which are typically earned through exports of goods and services as of a result, Afghanistan will experience stability in the exchange rate and in the domestic prices.","PeriodicalId":508408,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"43 24","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141815182","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Located near the Kelo River, Raigarh has evolved into a center for trade and cultural activities, shaped by the Raigarh Princely State and its kings, particularly Raja Chakradhar Singh. His support for Kathak dancing and his efforts in founding cultural institutions and organizing festivals have significantly impacted the region's identity. Established by the Gond dynasty in the 17th century, Raigarh experienced economic growth and social unity. Under the British Raj, Raigarh retained autonomy and improved infrastructure and administration. After independence, it transformed into a modern district, enhancing its importance. The annual Chakradhar Samaroh festival showcases the city's cultural liveliness. It is crucial to preserve Raigarh's cultural history amidst industrialization and globalization to maintain its distinct identity.","PeriodicalId":508408,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"30 25","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141815306","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It highlights the difficulty of making the correct selections from merchant websites because of the abundance of possibilities. The most recent findings about the links and connections between OCRs and consumers' intentions to buy are analyzed in this research. Here we take a look at the most important aspects of OCRs and how these influence consumers' propensity to buy. Many product reviews affect consumers' propensity to make a purchase, with an eye on conversion rates. The author used the Prisma Model, which incorporates 390 studies from different sources (including Google Scholar and 85 extra web pages), to draw our conclusions. The results demonstrated that: (1) customer reviews on the internet positively and significantly impact purchasing decisions and (2) online customer reviews positively and significantly impact trust. Two studies look at how different industries' purchasing patterns are affected by consumer feedback. Bringing attention to the impact of reviews on awareness and persuasive outcomes.","PeriodicalId":508408,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":" 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141827229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
