Materials and methods: This methodological study of a measurement instrument’s cultural adaptation included the initial translation, the translations’ synthesis, the back-translation, the evaluation by a committee of eight experts, testinh with a sample of 100 students, who evaluated the usability of the WhatsApp application, and the evaluation of structural construct validity by exploratory factor analysis. Results: The judges validated the Brazilian version of the System Usability Scale in the second round. It was revealed that, following the structural construct validation, the version had a unidimensional structure and an acceptable level of reliability (Cronbach’s alpha of 0.76). Besides, in the usability test, no suggestions for change were made. Conclusions: It is worth noting that the Brazilian version of this scale was semantically, idiomatically, conceptually, and culturally equivalent to the original English version and showed adequate reliability and structural construct validity.","PeriodicalId":50736,"journal":{"name":"Aquichan","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42358512","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Materials and methods: This concept analysis is based on Walker and Avant’s model. All the referential steps were followed: concept selection, determining the objectives and proposals for concept analysis, identifying the possible uses of the concept, determining the defining attributes, identifying a model case, identifying the contrary case, and identifying the precedents and consequences of the concept. Results: A sample of 20 studies was selected, identifying the following attributes: specialized thinking, cognitive skills, existing knowledge, intellectual competence; hypothesis-oriented reasoning; precedents: clinical assessment, practical experience, data interpretations, intuition, diagnostic judgment, information processing, clinical reasoning; consequences: improvement of nursing care, communication, planning interventions, addressing the identified problem, achieving effective results, autonomous actions, and quality of patient records. Conclusions: The study contributes to understanding the operational definition of the diagnostic reasoning concept in nursing by identifying the core attributes, precedents, and consequences.","PeriodicalId":50736,"journal":{"name":"Aquichan","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41413198","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Materials and method: A methodological study in a sample of 204 individuals being treated for pulmonary tuberculosis in Portuguese Pulmonary Diagnostic Centers, with at least one month of treatment or in follow-up. The evaluation process of linguistic and conceptual equivalence involved translation, the consensus among judges, back-translation, semantic validation, and pre-testing of the TRSS. The scale’s psychometric properties were assessed by verifying the reliability and validity of the results and calculating Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and the exploratory factor analysis of principal components, with Varimax rotation of the scale items. Results: The Portuguese version of the TRSS has a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.94 and has 23 items distributed in two dimensions: “Community’s perspectives on tuberculosis” (11 items) and “Person’s perspectives on tuberculosis” (12 items). Its psychometric characteristics ensure adequate reliability and validity for the Portuguese population. Conclusions: The TRSS is a valid and reliable instrument to assess stigma in people with pulmonary tuberculosis and, to date, the only scale validated in this domain for the Portuguese population, which allows nurses to make an integrated intervention.","PeriodicalId":50736,"journal":{"name":"Aquichan","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43110981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Experts on professional and relationship skills were consulted between 2009 and 2019.\u0000\u0000Results: This information was analyzed, concluding that interpersonal skills in nursing are defined as the abilities of professional nurses to express their knowledge, abilities, attitudes, and values in relationships with colleages, patients, and their relatives and achieve a humane and person- centered practice.\u0000\u0000Conclusion: The concept of interpersonal skills in nursing is limited, given a lack of clarity in practice and research on the indistinct use of terms related to interpersonal skills and interpersonal knowledge. The descriptors used were the following: ‘nurse’s role’ AND ‘pandemic’ AND ‘patient’ AND ‘coronavirus infection’, in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Filters along with inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to the 11,031 articles found, after which the final sample consisted of a total of 32 articles.\u0000\u0000Results: considering the objectives set and the results obtained, it is noted that all actions focused on three main instances, namely: a) training and updating for role performance; b) predictors, enablers, and barriers for exercising the role in the face of a pandemic; and c) evidence of the role in the face of pandemics.\u0000\u0000Conclusion: this study allowed understanding both the barriers and the enablers that allow the fulfillment of nurses’ professional role in the face of pandemics or catastrophes.
