We investigated 13 nature reserves with P. cantorii as the main object of protection and 5 captive-breeding centers; we also present the results from a questionnaire sent to one nature reserve. We summarize the distribution and habitat characteristics, evaluate the species' conservation status in each nature reserve, analyze the causes of extinction, and put forward our proposal for the protection of P. cantorii.","PeriodicalId":50703,"journal":{"name":"Chelonian Conservation and Biology","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2019-06-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44696650","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"生物学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
