In order to explore the efficiency of a medicinal compound, it is important to have a deep understanding of its solution and physiochemical behaviour along with its interaction with biological molecules. In this regard, the solution of two drugs i.e., ceftazidime pentahydrate (CP) and cefotaxime sodium (CS) were investigated in detail. The physicochemical properties of drugs solutions and their interaction with deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) were studied in water under varying experimental parameters. In the present study the physicochemical properties such as density, viscosity, surface tension, and conductance of aqueous solution, having various molar concentrations, of CP and CS were traced out at different temperatures. Five various concentrations (0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, and 0.3 mol dm−3) of each drug in an aqueous medium were prepared separately, and the physicochemical properties of each solution, were studied individually at temperatures such as 293, 303, 313, 323, and 333 K respectively. Most of these parameters have shown different behaviour with varying concentration of solution and temperature of the medium. In addition, these drugs showed a spontaneous surface-active and association behaviour in aqueous solutions and drug DNA solution. The flow behaviour, surface properties, volumetric behaviour and solute–solvent interaction of this drug were prominently influenced by experimental variables. UV-Visible spectroscopy was also used to study the interaction of these drugs with DNA in aqueous media in detail. Calculated values of binding constants (K b) for all drug–DNA are positive, indicating constructive binding and interactions between the molecules. In addition the binding efficiency of ceftazidime pentahydrate was found more than that of cefotaxime sodium. But in this article green synthesis were followed. In this research, AgNPs were synthesized using Salvia Sclarea leaf extract in green synthetic routes. The synthesized nanoparticles were examined using UV–vis spectroscopy, powder XRD, SEM, and FT-IR. Here three different type of silver nanoparticles were biosynthesized, AgNPs-1, AgNPs-2, and AgNPs-3 (where composition of AgNO3 and extract were 6:1, 10:1 and 14:1 respectively). The catalytic ability of AgNPs 1–3 was determine in the reduction of nitro-compounds into corresponding amines, where AgNPs-2 was found efficient reductive catalyst. Moreover, antibacterial activities were checked against both gram-positive (Bacillus Suntilis) and gram-negative bacteria (Klebsiella pneumoniae). Upon increasing Ag contents antibacterial activities were found in increasing mode. Particle size analysis reveals that formulations prepared using a bead mill with the selective surfactants such as Tween-80, SLS, Cocosulphosuccinate (CSPS) and Oleyl sulphosuccinate (OSPS) which exhibits a narrower range of particle size distribution compared to those prepared using high-speed dispersion (HSD). Phthalocyanine blue pigment concentrate formulation, the bead mill preparation using Tween-80 and CSPS surfactants resulted in a higher viscosity and color strength compared to HSD. In addition, the phthalocyanine green pigment concentrate formulation prepared using a bead mill with SLS surfactant showed higher color strength than the formulation prepared using HSD with SLS surfactant. Moreover, the comparative study reported the Nano CaCO3 pigment concentrate formulation prepared using a bead mill with SLS surfactant displayed a narrow range of particle size distribution ranging from 0.31 to 0.56 nm, with an average particle size of 0.435 nm, compared to the formulation prepared using HSD. Spectral analysis by UV–Vis and FT-IR confirmed interaction of different functional groups and free electrons with the electromagnetic waves showed presence of different bioactive compounds formulated silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using diallyl sulphide (DAS) also done for aqueous garlic extract. Different assays performed for confirming the presence of antibacterial and anticancer properties of DAS-AgNPs and garlic extract. The minimum inhibitory concentration required to inhibit Gram negative (Escherichia coli, V. cholera) and Gram positive (S. aureus, B. cereus) were found lesser in DAS-AgNPs followed by garlic extract. Cytotoxicity effect confirmed by DAS-AgNPs and A. sativum towards HeLa cell line by MTT assay. The IC50 values obtained for MTT assay were at 24.09 μg/ml in DAS-AgNPs and 129.22 μg/ml in garlic extract.
