Understanding these interconnected variables is crucial for effective monetary policy formulation and macroeconomic stability. this study employs the Toda-Yamamoto approach to Granger causality testing and quarterly data spanning from 2004 to 2022 to capture the dynamics following the Iraq War and explore the post-conflict economic landscape. Granger causality tests are conducted to determine the direction of causality among the variables. Impulse response functions and variance decompositions provide insights into the magnitude and persistence of shocks, shedding light on the relative importance of each variable in influencing the others. The empirical findings reveal a bidirectional causal relationship between money supply and foreign reserves, indicating that changes in one variable significantly influence the other. Additionally, a unidirectional causality is observed, running from foreign reserves to bank credit, highlighting the significance of foreign exchange reserves in facilitating bank lending. However, no causal link is detected between money supply and bank credit, suggesting that monetary policy may have limited direct impact on credit expansion in Iraq’s banking sector. These results have important policy implications for the Central Bank of Iraq in managing monetary policy tools and navigating the challenges of an oil-dependent economy. The study contributes to the literature on monetary economics in resource-rich countries and provides valuable insights for policymakers and researchers alike.","PeriodicalId":505508,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Economics and Business Innovation","volume":"49 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141648743","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study, which was based on insights from resource-based theory, utilized a descriptive survey design targeting 96 top management personnel across 12 active deposit-taking SACCOs in the region. Primary data for the study was collected through questionnaires distributed to CEOs, accountants, credit managers, marketing managers, and executive board members of the selected SACCOs. Secondary data, on the other hand, was sourced from the yearly financial statements and other reports of these SACCOs. Both primary and secondary data were analyzed using correlation and regression analysis, alongside descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings of the study highlighted the significant impact of cost leadership strategies on the performance of SACCOs in Meru County. These strategies collectively explained a substantial portion (76.30%) of the variations in SACCOs’ performance. Specifically, an increased adoption of the cost leadership strategy resulted in notable performance improvements. In light of these findings, the study recommended initiatives aimed at enhancing capacity building within SACCOs and fostering greater stakeholder engagement to facilitate their growth and overall performance.","PeriodicalId":505508,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Economics and Business Innovation","volume":" 0","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141671945","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this regard, in order to improve the current situation of tourism industry, Strategic Development Plan for Sustainable Tourism is proposed. Provincial government of Zambales must design and formulate programs to integrate tourism requirements into all levels of local government unit and would have to take a visionary local government official who has the grit to literally fight for a well-defined and managed tourism industry because it is a chance for municipalities to move up through the help of tourism, yet it requires the cooperation or input of every social and institutional organization such as stakeholders. Two variables were adopted: economic incentives as the independent variable and the recovery of SMEs as the dependent variable. Three dimensions were adopted to evaluate the economic incentives experienced by small and medium enterprises, which are “facilitation of granting loans,” “reducing taxes and fees,” and “technical assistance.” The study population consisted of the employees of 8 SME companies. Primary data was collected from a convenient sample of 104 via electronic questionnaire (due to the directives related to social distancing in light of the global health crisis (Covid 19). Data were evaluated through Statistical Packages for Social Sciences SPSS. The study found a strong correlation (90.9%) between economic incentives and the recovery of minor and medium enterprises. Key factors such as facilitating loans, reducing taxes and fees, and providing technical assistance had a strong impact (82.1%) on their recovery. The Omani government should prioritize projects based on local labor and supply chains to reduce leakages and create short-term jobs, enhancing household income during the pandemic. The research methodology incorporated Slovin’s formula for sample size determination, ensuring a robust and representative dataset. Additionally, Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to analyze the data and derive meaningful insights. This methodological approach allows for a refined exploration of the relationships between variables, offering a quantitative foundation for answering the research questions. The results elucidate the pivotal roles of Performance Expectancy and Perceived Security in positively influencing Purchase Intent. Notably, the study unveils a significant positive relationship between Purchase Intent and Usage Behavior, emphasizing the consequential impact of intention on subsequent consumer actions. This comprehensive exploration provides valuable insights for industry practitioners seeking to refine their omnichannel strategies in the hardware sector.
