Its pathogenesis is not uniform since irritant, allergic, and infectious factors can be involved. Diagnosis is visual except for atypical cases. After birth, the skin adapts from aquatic to terrestrial life. The skin-gut microbiome develops. The focus of the prevention of DD lies in the stabilization of epidermal barrier function and a healthy microbiome. Treatment depends on DD etiology. It includes skincare, hygienic measures, and medical therapy.","PeriodicalId":505497,"journal":{"name":"Cosmoderma","volume":"45 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139213220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many microsurgical training models were proposed for over a century. This includes live and non-viable tissue and organic and inorganic models. This investigation was done in a tertiary care plastic surgery department. The article reviews Scopus, PubMed, Google Scholar, and internet literature. We provide cost-effective strategies for teaching residents and juniors in microsurgery and maintaining surgeon skills. Super specialty residents worldwide need microsurgical training. Microsurgical training materials are scarce in certain locations. The foregoing readily available materials help residents practice continuously and consistently to improve their microsurgical confidence and skills.","PeriodicalId":505497,"journal":{"name":"Cosmoderma","volume":"23 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139226557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, for it to be effective, knowledge of a good sunscreen and its technically correct application is of utmost importance. It is important to emphasize to consumers the necessity of broad-spectrum protection, with coverage of both ultraviolet (UV) A (320–400 nm) and UV B (290–320 nm) radiation. This perspective discusses the effects of UV rays on the skin, the benefits of sunscreen, different types of sunscreens, how to select a good sunscreen, the correct method of application of sunscreen, and sunscreens in pregnancy and children.","PeriodicalId":505497,"journal":{"name":"Cosmoderma","volume":"48 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139255539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These days, pharmacies provide a vast array of solutions tailored to specific skin concerns, but naturopaths and practitioners of traditional skincare still admire homemade skincare remedies, frequently referred to as do-it-yourself skincare. The quest over efficacy versus sustainability is often a state of dilemma when choosing among these products. In this literature review, we will review the published articles to determine the effectiveness of both homemade skincare methods and the pharmaceutically manufactured skincare products used under dermatological surveillance, along with the comparison and benefits that they have on the skin.","PeriodicalId":505497,"journal":{"name":"Cosmoderma","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139267491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It demonstrates definitive features in infective and inflammatory dermatoses. Syphilis is emerging again as newly diagnosed cases are being reported and treated across the country. There is a sparsity in the dermoscopic reports in syphilis. It shows characteristic patterns in primary and secondary syphilis. However, dermoscopic monitoring of syphilitic lesions is lacking in the literature. Here, we report cases of syphilis with treatment monitoring by dermoscopy.","PeriodicalId":505497,"journal":{"name":"Cosmoderma","volume":"16 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139268014","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
