Magnons and skyrmions are two intriguing phenomena in condensed matter physics, and magnetic nanotubes have emerged as a suitable platform to study their complex interactions. We have shown that magnon frequency combs can be induced in magnetic nanotubes by three-wave mixing between the propagating magnons and skyrmion. This study enriches our fundamental comprehension of magnon-skyrmion interactions and holds promise for developing innovative spintronic devices and applications. This frequency comb tunability and unique spectral features offer a rich platform for exploring novel avenues in magnetic nanotechnology.

Notably, the modulation of the intertwined electron orders by the chemical doping is significant to illuminate the cooperation/competition between multiple phases in kagome superconductors. In this study, we have synthesized a series of tantalum-substituted Cs(V1-x\u0000 Ta\u0000 x\u0000 )3Sb5 by a modified self-flux method. Electrical transport measurements reveal that CDW is suppressed gradually and becomes undetectable as the doping content of x over 0.07. Concurrently, the superconductivity is enhanced monotonically from T\u0000 c ~ 2.8 K at x = 0.00 to 5.2 K at x = 0.12. Intriguingly, in the absence of CDW, Cs(V1-x\u0000 Ta\u0000 x\u0000 )3Sb5 (x = 0.12) crystals exhibit a pronounced twofold symmetry of the in-plane angular-dependent magnetoresistance (AMR) in the superconducting state, indicating the anisotropic superconducting properties in the Cs(V1-x\u0000 Ta\u0000 x\u0000 )3Sb5. Our findings demonstrate that Cs(V1-x\u0000 Ta\u0000 x\u0000 )3Sb5 with the non-trivial band topology is an excellent platform to explore the superconductivity mechanism and intertwined electronic orders in quantum materials.

Despite the success of aberration correction to deep sub-ångström lateral resolution, spatial resolution in depth is still far from atomic resolution. In scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM), this poor depth resolution is due to the limitation of the illumination angle. To overcome this physical limitation, it is essential to implement a next-generation aberration corrector in STEM that can significantly improve the depth resolution. This review discusses the capability of depth sectioning for three-dimensional imaging combined with large-angle illumination STEM. Furthermore, the statistical analysis approach remarkably improves the depth resolution, making it possible to achieve three-dimensional atomic resolution imaging at oxide surfaces. We will also discuss the future prospects of three-dimensional imaging at atomic resolution by STEM depth sectioning.

Owing to their low quality factors, FP modes are frequently considered as background fields with their resonance nature being neglected. Nevertheless, FP modes can play important roles in some phenomena, as exemplified by their coupling with guided resonance (GR) modes to achieve bound states in the continuum (BIC). Here, we further demonstrate the genuine resonance mode capability of FP modes PhC slabs. Firstly, we utilize temporal coupled-mode theory to obtain the transmittance of a PhC slab based on the FP modes. Secondly, we construct exceptional points (EPs) in both momentum and parameter space through the coupling of FP and GR modes. Furthermore, we identify a Fermi arc connecting two EPs and discuss the far field polarization topology. This work elucidates that the widespread FPs in PhC slabs can serve as genuine resonant modes, facilitating the realization of desired functionalities through mode coupling.

By using the Floquet theory, we obtain the topological phase diagram of the system. We also find that anomalous Floquet topological phases exist in the system. Focusing on examining the quench dynamics among topological phases, we analyze the site distribution of the (0)-mode and (pi)-mode edge states in long-period evolution after a quench. The results demonstrate that, under certain conditions, the site distribution of the (0)-mode can be confined at the edge even in long-period evolution. Additionally, both the (0)-mode and (pi)-mode can recover and become confined at the edge in long-period evolution when the post-quench parameters (left( T,frac{M_2}{M_1} right) ) in the phase diagram cross away from the phase boundary (frac{M_2}{M_1}=frac{6sqrt{3} t_2}{M_1}-1). Furthermore, we conclude that whether the edge state is confined at the edge in the long-period evolution after a quench depends on the similarity of the edge states before and after the quench. Our findings reveal some new characteristics of quench dynamics in periodically driven system.

Here, we report our findings on the pressure-induced coevolution of superconductivity and Hall coefficient in KCa2Fe4As4F2, an iron-based superconductor possessing a hybrid crystal structure combining KFe2As2 and CaFeAsF. Our investigation, involving high-pressure resistance, Hall effect and X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements, allows us to observe the connection of the superconductivity and Hall coefficient with the anisotropic lattice shrinkage. We find that its ambient-pressure tetragonal (T) phase presents a collapse staring at around 18 GPa, where the sign of the Hall coefficient (R\u0000 \u0000 H\u0000 ) changes from positive to negative. Upon further compression, both superconducting transition temperature (Tc) and R\u0000 \u0000 H\u0000 exhibit a monotonous decrease. At around 41 GPa, the superconductivity is completely suppressed (T\u0000 \u0000 c\u0000 =0), where the parameter a begins to decline again and the Hall coefficient remain nearly unchanged. Our experiment results clearly demonstrate that the pressure-induced anisotropic lattice collapse plays a curial role in tuning the interplay among multiple degrees of freedom in the superconducting system and, correspondingly, the stability of the superconductivity.

In this article, we first report the discovery of half-integer Shapiro steps in MgB2 Focused He Ion Beam (He-FIB) Josephson Junctions. The half-integer steps’ dependence on microwave frequency, temperature, microwave power and magnetic field is also analysed. We find that the existence of half-integer steps can be controlled by magnetic field periodically which is similar with that of high temperature superconductors (HTS) grain boundary junctions and the similarity of the microstructures between gain boundary junctions and He-FIB junctions is discussed. As a consequence, we mainly attribute the physical origin of half-integer steps in MgB2 He-FIB junctions to the model that a He-FIB junction is analogous to a parallel junctions’ array. Our results show that He-FIB technology is a promising platform for researching CPR in junctions made of different superconductors.

By analyzing the Lax pair and the Riemann-Hilbert problem, we aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics and interactions of solitons of this system. Furthermore, we study the impacts of group velocity dispersion or fourth-order dispersion on soliton behaviors. Here, we utilize scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy to uncover the superconductivity and surface structure of LaRu2As2. Two distinct terminating surfaces are identified on the cleaved crystals, namely the As surface and the La surface. Atomic missing line defects are observed on the La surface. Both surfaces exhibit a superconducting gap of ~1.0 meV. By employing quasiparticle interference techniques, we observe standing wave patterns near the line defects on the La atomic plane. These patterns were attributed to quasiparticle scattering from two electron type parabolic bands.
