This study draws on managerial coaching (MC) literature to examine the dynamics of how leadership behaviors impact employees’ innovative work behavior (IWB). In an attempt to disclose the mechanism through which MC can impact the IWB of employees, we particularly expected work engagement to mediate the relationship. Accordingly, we operationalized IWB as a four-dimensional construct to show whether MC and work engagement equally affect all of the dimensions of IWB. We collected survey data ( N = 4418) from 88 Finnish SMEs and found that MC was positively related to each dimension of IWB, and that work engagement mediated the linkages. Interestingly, the importance of MC (both directly and when mediated by work engagement) grows as the employee moves from idea exploration to implementation. This study sheds light on the mechanism through which leadership behavior can impact the IWB of employees in SMEs.","PeriodicalId":501176,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138952327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the concept of THs is fuzzy due to the lack of a clear and universally accepted definition. This ambiguity is further compounded by the diverse range of organizations that self-identify as hubs, or are categorized as such by others. As a result, research on THs in SSA remained limited. Against the backdrop of established research on the interconnectedness of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship in different organizational forms, this paper is meant to provide fresh insights into the study of THs in SSA. To advance future research, first, it reveals what is special about THs in SSA and how they are related to existing concepts. I particularly argue that they contour a fourth-wave model of incubation. Second, four main categories are unfolded to delineate THs in SSA which is the cornerstone for future research.","PeriodicalId":501176,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation","volume":"17 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138965839","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Similarly, adolescent deviants break rules and act against established norms. While adolescent deviance is seen as a strain on society, it can also be related to characteristics of entrepreneurial intentions. We draw upon prior literature to demonstrate that deviance during adolescence can promote the development of and reliance upon relational capital, and that these characteristics are associated with innovativeness, proactiveness, and risk-taking as adults. We test hypotheses using a sample of 375 participants and highlight the role of relational capital in the lives of adolescent deviants and how it contributes to entrepreneurial behaviour.","PeriodicalId":501176,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation","volume":"9 5","pages":"146575032210929"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138510681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Millennials are the first generation to put the fun in work-life. Social media is a strategic instrument in Cyber Learning (CL) in work-life and lifestyle. Learning on Business Performance (BP) in many studies has an insignificant effect and is still inconclusive. The purpose of this study is to offer Innovative Millennial Entrepreneurship (IME), which will be tested empirically in its role in pushing CL to BP significantly. Data collection was carried out by employing a purposive sampling method on 159 millennials who hold owner/manager positions in business organizations. Data analysis used a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The empirical results in the model provide evidence that IME fully mediates, becoming a bridge that strongly fosters the role of CL (β = 0.83) on BP (β = 0.42) and Marketing Capability (MC) through Agile Teamwork (AT) provides an excellent total effect when compared with the direct effect between CL (β = 1.01) and BP (β = 0.79). In the Entrepreneurial Agility perspective, IME and MC through AT have encouraged millennials CL to be converted into better performance through opportunity foresight, systemic insight, and entrepreneurial mindset.</p>","PeriodicalId":501176,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation","volume":"9 22","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138510680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
