(Moench), sometimes known as okra, is a very significant crop that is grown all over the world in tropical, subtropical, and warm temperate climates. (2022; Chauhan et al. Their leaves are long-petiolated, 10–20 cm long, and have five to seven lobes. Flowers are axillary and range in size from 4 to 8 cm in diameter. They produce elongated fruits with a diameter of 1.5 to 3 cm and a length of 10 to 25 cm. (Ali 2022). Okra growth and yield are significantly influenced by pinching technique. (Sahu and Biswal 2020). Early herbage cutting encourages uniform growth, flowering, and seed germination. The \"Effect of pinching on plant growth, yield, and quality of different varieties of okra\" is the topic of this study. The practice of pinching, which involves the removal of terminal shoot tips, has been explored as a cultural technique to enhance plant growth, yield, and produce quality in different varieties of okra. This review article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the effects of pinching on plant growth parameters, yield components, and the nutritional and sensory quality of various okra varieties. The review encompasses an in-depth analysis of the underlying physiological and morphological changes induced by pinching across different okra varieties. A synthesis of recent studies highlights the potential benefits and limitations of pinching in okra cultivation, considering the variability in results across different varieties and growing conditions. This review article systematically examines the effects of pinching on diverse varieties of okra with a focus on their growth patterns, yield attributes, and final harvest quality.","PeriodicalId":500323,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Agriculture and Environmental Research","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135154813","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research assessed the LULC of Phibsoo Wildlife Sanctuary which is one of the protected areas in Bhutan. The study was analysed using the Landsat imageries for five years from 2017 to 2021 using maximum likelihood classification. This research has also analyzed forest fragmentation using Fragstats which is one of the landscape metric tools. The key findings revealed that there is loss of dense forest at alarming rate but there is increase in agricultural land which is being triggered by the pandemic to ensure the food security in rural Bhutan. It has also found out that the degraded forest and barren land have been increased respectively up to 1.73 to 2.16 percent.
 In the landscape metrics it has depicted that the total area under forest, dense forest and moderately dense forest have been decreased whereas, the area under open forest and shrubs have been increased signifying that there is a loss of habitat for the wildlife. This research recommends Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Department of Parks and Services to find out the alternative interventions to control the forest fragmentation and change of LULC in wildlife sanctuary.","PeriodicalId":500323,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Agriculture and Environmental Research","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135980825","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

 Tout fois, excepter la production en termes de rendement à l’hectare qui présentait une différence significative entre les Maïs non écimés et les Maïs écimés tous les autres paramètres ne présentaient pas aucune différence significative par rapport à l’analyse de la variance.","PeriodicalId":500323,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Agriculture and Environmental Research","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135080437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
