These processes are superimposed on the digitalization of the economy, development of the Internet of energy, and optimization of electricity consumption to reduce carbon emissions. It is impossible to determine the strategy for the development of the electric power industry in general and the electric grid complex in particular without accurately simulating the power consumption processes in the form of electricity load profiles. This article presents the results from a review of publications, statistical research materials, and the results of various activities aimed at monitoring the daily electricity consumption both in power systems as a whole and in their individual elements, including distribution networks and individual household consumers. The daily electricity load profiles of the following countries are given: Myanmar, Laos, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia, Russian Federation, United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Portugal, and Italy. For each electricity load profile, the primary source of initial information is indicated. In developed countries, the electricity consumption profile during the daytime is almost uniform in nature. In winter, the evening maximum slightly exceeds the morning one. In summer, the daily maximum shifts to the morning or afternoon hours. In developing countries, a significant decrease of electricity consumption is observed during the daytime. In all seasons, the daily maximum falls on the evening hours. In European countries and Russia, the maximum daily consumption by household consumers is in the evening hours. In the countries of Southeast Asia, the morning and evening maximums for household consumers are approximately the same. The basic principles and technologies for development of HECs with RES are considered, and the main structural components of these complexes and their functions are described. The functional capabilities of Russian and foreign SCSs for simulating HECs with RES have been analyzed, and their main advantages and shortcomings have been studied. The research was carried out using the ANSYS Fluent computational fluid dynamics (CFD) system. Recommendations for the development of the solid fuel combustion schemes using straight-flow burners and nozzles are given along with a methodology for conducting research and optimization of the furnace volume aerodynamics. Optimization criteria are formulated, and input data for carrying out the study are selected. A general schematic layout of straight-flow burners and nozzles (in relative dimensions) has been developed. The overall layout is divided into three zones over height with subsequent stage-by-stage optimization of the placement of burners and nozzles in each zone. The optimal number of vertical planes for placing the burners and nozzles has been chosen. The previously developed mathematical model of slag deposition on furnace waterwalls was applied to estimate the waterwall slagging probability. To this end, the geometric and optical characteristics of 15 samples of single-mode optical fibers of five subcategories produced by eight different manufacturers were measured. The obtained results have demonstrated that the identification of the optical fiber manufacturer should be based on a comprehensive analysis of a number of parameters, rather than based on a single parameter. It is shown that for the above-mentioned identification purposes, the fiber optical characteristics are more suitable than the geometric measurement data and analysis of IR absorption spectra. A method for identifying the fiber manufacturer based on the measured optical and geometric parameters of the fiber is proposed. The structure of the developed software package and its individual modules are described along with external and built-in databases used in it, its software implementation, the list of problems to be solved, and the assumptions adopted in the calculations. The functionality of the developed Wind Turbine software package is compared with the capabilities of the basic modules in the most popular WindPRO software package used in international design practice, which has a similar structure and is intended for solving the same problems. To verify the calculations carried out using the developed Wind Turbine software package, a comparative wind energy calculation was carried out using the WindPRO software package for a promising wind farm site located near the Kitovy settlement in the Iturup Island, and for identical wind turbine models. Based on the calculation outcome, a comparative analysis of the results obtained using the two considered software products is carried out. Information on the further planned development of the Wind Turbine software package, on the potential of using it in the educational process, in applied research, and in the design process is given. The authors are working on the development of a specialized expert system capable of changing its structure and a knowledge base, supplementing it, and solving a number of tasks to identify the technical condition of equipment. The obtaining of new approaches and methods for determining the technical condition index will open the possibility of making more accurate predictions about the current condition of equipment, on taking the equipment out for repair or completely replacing it as a whole or its functional unit. Currently, due to the development and availability of cloud technologies, one of the most promising areas in the field of artificial intelligence is the development of distributed intelligent systems (DIS). These systems are characterized by a distribution of computing and information resources, which results in more efficient performance of the system due to the possibility to simultaneously process a large amount of data. It is proposed to construct a DIS according to the principle of multi-agent systems (MAS) consisting of autonomous nodes (agents). The article presents the DIS architecture constructed on the basis of intelligent agents and consisting of blocks representing a set of microservices.
