As a part of South Africa’s rich cultural heritage, AmaZulu’s traditional clothing reflects the customs, beliefs, and identity of AmaZulu. In the globalised fashion industry, AmaZulu traditional attire has been incorporated into various aspects, including runway shows, fashion campaigns, and cultural festivals. Designers and fashion houses have drawn inspiration from AmaZulu traditional attire, integrating elements such as vibrant colours, intricate beadwork, and unique patterns into their collections. The purpose of this article was to discuss the role of AmaZulu traditional attire in the globalised fashion industry. A qualitative content analysis was adopted to guide this article using existing scholarly writings such as articles, book chapters, and theses. The findings of this article pointed out that AmaZulu traditional attires had specific shapes and designs that are rooted in cultural practices and beliefs. While the basic structure of the isicholo and isidwaba has been retained, modern adaptations often feature modifications to the silhouette and design. The findings of this article demonstrated that the global fashion industry often faces challenges in accurately representing traditional attire from different cultures. This article concluded by affirming that in an increasingly globalised world, there is a growing demand for diverse and authentic cultural representations. AmaZulu traditional attire offers a unique and distinct cultural identity that reflects the heritage of the Zulu people. This cultural diversity and representation appeal to fashion designers, consumers, and enthusiasts who are seeking something beyond mainstream fashion. The industry is however confronted with a lot of challenges which, therefore, can be addressed by the use of Plan-do-check-act (PDCA) and 5S concepts. This study evaluated the benefits of the PDCA and 5S concepts as strategic tools for improving the performance of the informal welding industry in Kumasi, Ghana, by using the exploratory research technique. The PDCA and 5S concepts were implemented for a period of six months using 50 welder industries selected by the stratified random sampling procedure. The diagnosis of the current state of the industry was initially measured through performance indicators generated through questionnaires, interviews and direct observations. The design of the solution strategy was then implemented using the concepts to mitigate the challenges previously identified. This was followed by data collection to monitor the performance of the study factors. The results showed a significant (66%) general improvement in the cleanliness of the work environment, work safety and health of workers of all the study workshops. There was also a general decrease in defective products, and reduction in raw material waste and an enhanced aesthetic value of products. A total of over 17 productivity variables were evaluated out of which 11 saw between 4% and 96 % improvement, which in all translated into boosting the morale of workers and customer confidence. The study contributes to the paradigm shift of SMEs to modern management systems for enhanced performance and competitiveness. Accordingly, waiving the personal immunity of serving heads of state has been one of the greatest contentions before the Court as seen in the Al Bashir case. While cooperation in matters of arrest and surrender to the Court remains another major concern, the fact that the treaty creating the Rome Statute is primarily binding only on state parties is another obstacle, since consent is required from non-state parties before any prosecution. This article argues that prosecuting President Putin will result in a debacle just like his counterpart Al Bashir given that the issue of immunities and cooperation is still a major concern. Unfortunately, until all states become parties to the Rome Statute, this issue of state cooperation with the Court is still far from over. Consequently, all states are urged to become party to the Rome Statute to minimise the travails of prosecuting serving heads- of-state. In Asia, Europe, and other parts of the world, the means of creating handmade paper depend largely on traditional equipment and other industrial machines. In Ghana, the means of creating handmade paper is through a tedious process of hand beating the bast fiber of the Kyenkyen tree. This resulted in the production of a proto-paper known as the bark cloth. This traditional method has almost become extinct with the influx of imported industrial papers. Therefore the purpose of this study was to seek a solution to this problem through the possible design and fabrication of a paper pulp-making machine daubed the Ada Beater. Thus getting vital tools for making art, print, and papermaking. The paper explored practice-based research methodology to fabricate a papermaking machine known as the Ada Beater. The results showed that the machine can be fabricated and made to produce improved papers of archival quality derived from various plant sources in Ghana. It is recommended that this homegrown know-how should be made available to artists and art teachers for the teaching and use of handmade paper for artistic purposes. The authors opined that through music, leaders and organizers of political parties are able to better communicate to the public to attract winning sympathy. The authors employed participatory observation and unstructured interviews to gather primary data from five political parties including the two main parties (National Democratic Congress and New Patriotic Party). The findings indicate that music and related performances are instrumental in bringing party members together, attracting new members to fold, and forming formidable parties. This paper argued that stakeholders ignored workers’ rights especially the right to life and dignity at the expense of corporate profit. This paper therefore assessed the Farlam Commission’s findings on the human rights violations by the state and the mine authorities. The Farlam Commission findings and recommendations indicated, further, that one of the consequences of the establishment of a constitutional state that respects every person’s right to life is that tighter restrictions may have to be introduced on the use of lethal force in making arrests. It is argued that human dignity, as one of the founding values of democratic South Africa, plays a pivotal role in addressing human rights issues. The authors contend that the foundations of the new age where all people’s rights must be preserved and respected are a total transformation and a restoration of a human life. This is founded on South Africa’s history of human rights violations, total disdain and terrible inhumanity by the apartheid administration. The authors hope that the arguments set out in this paper will help add to the debate on the realisation of rights and strengthen the practical application of the fundamental rights of life and human dignity as enshrined in the South African Bill of Rights. However, there has been a re-invigoration of this movement in recent years on the African continent, particularly in the education sector. This took a different turn in South Africa in late 2015 when the #Mustfall movement started. Different institutions responded to this in a frenzy and the result was absolute chaos in both the understanding of the subject and response to it. About eight years later many academics are still grappling with the meaning of the consult and how to go about decolonising in higher education. Though there is a dearth of academic writing on the subject particularly in South Africa, this has translated to little action and the vestiges of colonialism remain. This paper sought to deconstruct decolonisation from an institutional perspective and theorise how the same can be made to unfold within the stratosphere. This study was designed as a qualitative case study of a South African University and used interviews as the data generation method. The findings indicated that decolonisation is about politics, language, and identity, not forgetting an element of confusion. The paper concluded that decolonisation has to transcend individual understandings of the same to deal with all facets of the higher education sector. It, therefore, recommended the adoption of a holistic approach to dealing with decolonisation and an overall improvement in the understanding of lecturers on decolonisation. This paper makes a vital contribution to the body of knowledge by articulating the conflicting understandings that exist and the confusion it breeds. It also points to the lack of decolonisation within the higher education space. This language has a curriculum, and one of its components includes reading English novels. Although English is accorded this prestigious status in Lesotho secondary schools, minimal effort has been made to address the improvement of learners’ reading skills of English novels. With this in mind, this theoretical paper focused on teachers’ use of Critical Literacy (CL) by highlighting some literature perspectives on traditional banking education and CL, the emerging relationship between CL and Active Learning (AL), and the dimensions of CL as enhancers. The methodology used in this article is derived from the experiences of the authors and three English teachers in Lesotho schools related to the dimensions of CL in the teaching of English novels (EN). The article probed the Biblical creationists and the Big Bang Theories which credit the creation of the Universe to God and a blast, respectively. “The Earth is the Lord’s” (Ps. 24:1) means, God created the universe as well as all life that exists. The work appraised the Big Bang, the pulsating universe, and the cosmic inflationary theories and they were found to be lacking premise for validity and veracity based on biblical and practical evidence. The biblical creationist theory believed by the Pentecostal movements was ratified in the study as the model that can best explicate the creation of the universe and the life in it. The work exclusively offers to academia the Ten Commandments of the Core Pentecostal principles on the Doctrine of Divine Creationism. The work contributes to academia by providing an indispensable resource for bible scholars, seminary students, and Christian congregations while reiterating the significance of the doctrine of creation in Pentecostal construal and Biblical theology. The transformation of education in South Africa is a topic that deserves more attention, particularly considering the positive impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which accelerated the integration of technology into learning and teaching worldwide since 2020. This acceleration has prompted urgent changes in various operational aspects of higher education institutions (HEIs). The main focus of this article was to highlight how higher education institutions should approach the restructuring of the curriculum to ensure sustainable transformation. Although the need for this transformation has long been recognized, there has been limited resistance against the prevailing Eurocentric model upon which South African university’s foundational academic organization is built. The author argued that despite efforts to counter Eurocentrism, the South African educational system remains dominated by it in all aspects. To assess the role of higher education institutions in promoting effective learning and teaching through curriculum restructuring, this theoretical paper thoroughly examined the topic of restructuring the curriculum at South African universities. The theoretical framework for this study drew upon the principles of socio-cultural theory, curriculum development and the role of HEIs in curriculum reform. These approaches aim to comprehend how higher education institutions sustain and perpetuate exclusion through Eurocentric epistemology and pedagogical practices. Based on the findings, it was concluded that the struggle to normalize higher education must continue. The article emphasized the ongoing need for change and transformation in higher education institutions to address the deficiencies caused by Eurocentric influences and ensure an inclusive and effective learning environment.
