Ammani
Responsible consumption, often used interchangeably with sustainable consumption, is a way of consumption that considers the economic, social, and environmental effects of the goods or services being consumed. Ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) published by the United Nations (2023) \u0000The research aims to comprehend the awareness, practice, and scope of responsible consumption behaviour among women in India. It also serves as a means to highlight the necessity for further researches on Indian women’s approach towards responsible consumption, attributing to India’s abundance in resources as well as population, with women being an influential segment of the Indian society. \u0000The research analyses primary data obtained from an online survey (n = 102) and online focus group interview (n = 4) with women consumers. The online survey checks the respondents’ views through a series of Likert scale- based situational questions, while the focus group interview attempts to employ a more communicative and open-ended approach towards decoding Indian women’s awareness and practice of responsible consumer behaviour. Diagnostic analysis of the obtained qualitative data has been performed. \u0000Although application of convenience sampling method for the selection of the sample ensures exhaustiveness and authenticity in the responses, lack of diversity in the sample might diminish the generalizability of the inferences. Furthermore, the respondents’ self-reported data might lack reliability, as it could be influenced by social desirability bias or inaccurate self-perceptions. Lack of statistical analysis tools for qualitative studies like this one makes the implementation of their results quite subjective and therefore, more complex. However, this report presents a thorough descriptive interpretation of the research and serves as a starting point for further researches in this domain, with emphasis on women consumers.

Many, if not most, organizations now use a combination of contingent and non-contingent staff. A contingent worker can be a freelancer, independent consultant, contractor, part-timer, on-call worker, or someone with another form of alternative employment arrangement. Contingent workers operate on a project-based model, meaning they are engaged specifically for particular tasks or projects, rather than being hired for ongoing, continuous employment. In essence, they are brought in as needed, depending on the requirements of each project. Unlike permanent employees who have ongoing roles within the organization, contingent workers are typically not guaranteed ongoing work beyond the scope of the current project they are hired for.

This study looks into the effects of foreign portfolio investments in the IT industry on sectoral returns and the volatility of pertinent sector stock indices. \u0000Design/Methodology/Approach: \u0000For an eleven-year period, from April 2012 to March 2023, the current study employs weekly time series data of the FPI, VIX, interest rate, CPI, and exchange rate USD-INR for the IT sector. In order to accomplish the stated goal of the study, this work applies the Granger causality test and the Johansen Cointegration test. After stationarity has been established, the next step is to search for autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity (ARCH). GARCH (2,1) is the most acceptable predictor for determining the level of volatility in the IT industry because weekly data was used in this study. \u0000 \u0000Findings: \u0000The results determined that there is a bidirectional Granger Causality between FII-IT movements and Nifty-IT movements. The IT sector's long-term FPI movements were positively correlated with returns, as demonstrated by the findings of Johansen's Co-integration Test. The results also show that as FPIs increase, stock values decrease because stock prices are increasingly susceptible to their selling pressure. A study showed a connection between FII inflows and outflows and surges in the volatility of the IT industry. \u0000Implications and Recommendations: \u0000The study provides policymakers with a number of recommendations for bolstering the Indian stock market. First, given the current state of the economy, India has embraced a policy to encourage Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) in its capital markets. This is because FPIs boost capital inflows into the nation while maintaining the nation's low level of foreign debt. Second, increased financial stability and efficiency are needed by small-cap companies, particularly those that are still developing. Due to this fact, the government must create appropriate rules for their sustainable financial development.

Integrating modern accounting ledgers with a public blockchain could facilitate easily verifiable accounting records, streamlining the audit evidence gathering and analytics process. Continuous audits could become feasible through readily available audit evidence from the public blockchain. The proposed audit solution aims to establish verifiable "Financial Fingerprints" (signed indexes) for each accounting entry, subsequently publishing them to specific addresses on the public blockchain. This initiative seeks to structure accounting ledgers in a Triple Entry Accounting format, where the third entry involves notarizing an index of each accounting entry on the public blockchain. The essence of Triple Entry Accounting lies in its atomicity, ensuring a single authoritative set of books. Any attempt to present an alternative set of books would be automatically detected. The approach to achieving this objective can be articulated through two value propositions. Firstly, Triple Entry Accounting offers a means to establish a provable official set of books, providing market access independent of network effects. Secondly, it aims to dismantle data silos by leveraging the blockchain as a shared ledger, thereby assisting auditors in efficiently gathering adequate audit evidence. With its standalone value proposition, Triple Entry Accounting offers benefits even before the network effect comes into play, leading to the development of an open standardized protocol for implementing it as an extension to modern accounting systems.
