This study uses primary data with as many as 175 respondents through purposive sampling. The switching behavior is estimated by using the push-pull-mooring (PPM) framework method by using structural equation modeling (SEM) - Partial Least Square (PLS). The results show that the push effect (high price perception, security risk, privacy risk) and the mooring effect (reputation, inertia, switching cost) positively and significantly affect the switching behavior. While pull effects (ease of use, relative advantage, relative ease of processing) have a positive impact but are not significant to the potential for switching behavior. In short, visitors to the Tumenggungan market feel satisfied with cash payments. They are less motivated to use digital payment. Still, the visitors do not create resistance to making a change. The results indicate that the visitors of the Tumenggungan market view digital payment as a complementary instrument, not substitution, which means visitors accept either cash or digital payment in their transaction settlements. These findings are significant in further promoting technological literacy among people by organizing many trainings and seminars so that people are rational when switching behavior between cash and digital payments.","PeriodicalId":493793,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics Research and Social Sciences","volume":"107 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140449504","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While decentralization could improve the quality of the environment as an attribute of public good provision, it could also harm the environment by setting low environmental standards to boost environment-related business. In addition, the Environmental Quality Index (IKLH) from various provinces has shown fluctuations in the past ten years. With this ambiguous effect of decentralization, this study aims to disentangle the effect of decentralization on the quality of the environment in Indonesia. This study utilizes Indonesia’s provincial-level data in 33 provinces from 2010 to 2020. In order to solve the model's suffering endogeneity problem, the two-stage least square panel-instrumental variable method is performed. The main results demonstrate that fiscal decentralization and its square significantly affect environmental quality. Its square indicates a nonlinear U-shaped relationship, that in the low-level stage of decentralization tends to harm the environment until the turning point. In addition, this research also suggests the positive but weak effect of Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfer (IFT) on environmental quality. Considering all the results, this research infers that decentralization curbs the quality of the environment in Indonesia and, to some extent, contributes to maintain environmental quality. Therefore, local authorities have a significant role in promoting green regulation to enhance environmental quality and this also reaffirms the importance of green indicators in local budgeting.","PeriodicalId":493793,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics Research and Social Sciences","volume":"26 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140450004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The focus of the research is to test the Kuznets Environment Curve (EKC) hypothesis in Indonesia in the period 1990-2019 using time series analysis Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). Research findings show that, both in the long and short term, CO2 emissions and energy consumption have a significant impact, while economic growth has no significant impact. These results indicate that the ECC hypothesis is not supported in Indonesia. Emerging policy implications include the transition to clean energy, sustainable farming and forestry management, waste and pollution control, and increased environmental awareness and education. Faced with the complexity of environmental challenges, the implementation of this policy has become crucial toining a balance between environmental sustainability and economic growth.","PeriodicalId":493793,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics Research and Social Sciences","volume":"19 24","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140451111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study used the Propensity Score Matching methodology in estimating the average treatment effect on the treated to capture the effect of CCT on conditionality goods. The study finds that CCT has a significant effect on education for household beneficiaries in rural areas and has improved the quality of food consumed by household beneficiaries in urban areas. Also, a decreased in the per capita total expenditure and per capita food expenditure of the household beneficiaries is revealed in urban areas driven by their improved saving behavior. Thus, the CCT program, at some point, is effective in meeting its short-term goal, but it must be more targeted in order to improve its impact on other conditionality goods.","PeriodicalId":493793,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics Research and Social Sciences","volume":"32 26","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140450293","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the worst earthquakes of the twenty-first century was the 5.9-magnitude one. The existence of insurance premiums that people are willing to pay is very necessary as an alternative form of post-disaster risk mitigation effort. The aim of this research is to determine the willingness to pay disaster mitigation insurance premiums and the influence of the independent variables. An EWTP of IDR 62,700 (USD 4,04) was obtained using the dichotomous choice method for 20 community samples. This research was conducted on 274 respondents using the contingent valuation method. This research uses logistic regression analysis. The research results show that the variables age, number of dependent family members, educational attainment, income, length of residence, and risk aversion have a significant influence on willingness to pay disaster mitigation insurance premiums.","PeriodicalId":493793,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics Research and Social Sciences","volume":"16 24","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140450513","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aims to investigate the influence of e-WOM features, including Celebrity Endorsements, Influencer Recommendations, and Customer Reviews, on the purchase intentions of Indonesian consumers concerning Korean restaurants. Employing a deductive framework and quantitative methodologies, primary data collection was conducted. The findings underscore the paramount importance of Customer Reviews in shaping Indonesian consumers' decision-making processes when selecting Korean restaurants. These reviews are valued for their perceived authenticity and representation of diverse viewpoints, distinguishing them as credible and influential sources. In contrast, while Celebrity Endorsements and Influencer Recommendations influence consumer attitudes and perceptions, they do not significantly impact purchase intentions. This study provides valuable insights into the dynamics of e-WOM's influence on the Indonesian culinary landscape, with a specific emphasis on Korean restaurants. These findings hold practical significance for restaurant operators and marketers who leverage e-WOM to effectively engage and cater to diverse consumer segments within the Indonesian market.","PeriodicalId":493793,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Economics Research and Social Sciences","volume":"143 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140460573","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
