In addition, we wanted to test whether there were significant differences in the fit and path coefficients of the research model according to migration background (domestic birth, mid-entry) within multicultural young adults. For the study, we excluded 12 participants who did not meet the recruitment criteria from 300 multicultural youth, and 288 participants were used for the final analysis. The results of structural equation analysis confirmed that the research model adequately explained the data. All the main paths were significant except for the path from self-efficacy to job satisfaction, and the mediating effect of self-efficacy and career goal discrepancy was also significant. Multigroup analyses revealed significant group differences in the paths from career barriers to self-efficacy and from self-efficacy to job satisfaction. The significance of this paper is that it examined the relationship between career barriers and job satisfaction as perceived by multicultural young adults and enhanced our understanding of the psychological process by which career barriers lead to job satisfaction. This study suggests directions for career education and counseling to increase job satisfaction among multicultural youth.","PeriodicalId":491638,"journal":{"name":"미래교육학연구","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135039827","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It examines the production of knowledge in design by reviewing discussions in natural science and social science. Through this examination, the study identifies the problems associated with the rigid and linear structure of Design Thinking. Moreover, it emphasizes the necessity of an educational inquiry centered on design thinking and future-oriented values, aiming to explore possibilities through abductive and retroductive reasoning. A conceptual model of design thinking is presented as an approach process that generates new knowledge through imagination and the exploration of possibilities. The study also suggests the need for speculative and critical design education to foster this approach.
 However, it is important to note that the proposed tentative design thinking model is described only conceptually in this study. To expand the exploration of knowledge and approaches in multiple layers, a follow-up study that critically and closely diagnoses and analyzes domestic design-related education will be required. Additionally, there is a need to accumulate the value of design thinking by implementing new approaches in various cases.
 While the significance of deductive and inductive positivist research cannot be disregarded, as it is an important component in many areas of research and education, these approaches alone may not effectively address complex social problems. Overcoming the limitations of design thinking requires training in speculative thinking to discover hypotheses for untested areas beyond experience-based testing. Recognizing the value of this approach and promoting diversity and balance in research methods are essential factors in advancing the field.","PeriodicalId":491638,"journal":{"name":"미래교육학연구","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135039723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, we know that policy efforts to integrate immigrants into society can motivate immigrant-origin adolescents to engage in the host country’s political system. This article indicates that the host country’s policy context surrounding immigrant integration can influence immigrant-origin adolescents’ discussion of political issues and interest in politics in the host country over and above their individual and family attributes. To assess this relationship, we combine the 2009 International and Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS) with the 2007 Migration Integration Policy Index (MIPEX). Our hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) meta analyses of 17 European countries show that in countries with more inclusive integration policies, immigrant-origin adolescents are substantially more likely to participate in political discussions and become interested in politics than their native peers. In particular, the inclusiveness of the legal-political dimension of immigrant integration policy appears to exert a strong influence on the political engagement of first-generation adolescents, while the inclusiveness of the socioeconomic dimension of immigrant integration policy, especially immigrant education policy, emerges as a key predictor for the political engagement of second-generation adolescents. Based on our findings, we also discuss theoretical and policy implications.","PeriodicalId":491638,"journal":{"name":"미래교육학연구","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135039194","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considering that the private education pattern may differ depending on students' educational conditions, additional analysis was conducted on discriminatory effects based on household income and regional size.
 The analysis revealed that the school closure event had a positive effect on both private education expenditure and time. Specifically, it increased the average monthly private education expenditure of students in general high schools by approximately KRW 88,000 and the average weekly private education time by about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Furthermore, this effect was consistent across all subgroups classified by income level and regional size. Based on the results, policy recommendations were made to improve existing policies to reduce private education expenses and alleviate the burden on vulnerable groups, as well as to provide practical support to supplement learning deficits.","PeriodicalId":491638,"journal":{"name":"미래교육학연구","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135039538","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
