Furthermore, hypertension can lead to increased oxidation and peroxidation reactions due to elevated blood pressure and blood flow. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the levels of superoxide dismutase in the sera of patients diagnosed with hypertension. Materials and Methods: The study involved 60 hypertensive patients who exhibited no significant abnormalities, such as liver disease, cardiomyopathy, renal disease, diabetes mellitus, congestive heart failure, or thyroid disease. Additionally, 25 healthy individuals, matched by age and sex to the patient group, were included in the study. The age range of the participants was between 32 and 70 years. The level of superoxide dismutase 1 in the sera was measured using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results: The results demonstrated a significant increase in the activity level of superoxide dismutase in hypertensive patients (732.91 ± 82.68 pg/ml) compared to the control group (590.63 ± 47.69 pg/ml). Conclusion: These findings have the potential to contribute to the diagnosis and management of hypertension, offering insights into the role of superoxide dismutase activity in the disease process.","PeriodicalId":491535,"journal":{"name":"مجلة مركز بحوث التقنيات الاحيائية","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135470285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Long-standing applications for the chemical compound polyacrylamide include wastewater treatment and food production. Recent research has revealed that this substance has a biological activity that may be exploited to control the functioning of other biological systems.
 According to certain studies, polyacrylamide may interact with proteins and other molecules to change their function. For instance, it may have an impact on proteases' ability to degrade proteins. Receptors, which are molecules that react to outside signals, can also be affected by their activity. Additionally, the study group discovered that polyacrylamide can function as a scaffold for cells, offering a framework for the synthesis of new tissue and organs.

It has helix form is thought to have developed to puncture the mucoid lining of the stomach and transmit infection. Almost around world about half of population infected with these bacteria, which is broadly dispersed. The interplay of genetic predisposition and environmental exposures results in autoimmune disorders. Infectious triggers have been linked and thoroughly explored among environmental exposures.
 Purpose: To identify the frequency of peoples infected with Helicobacter pylori with autoimmune disorders like rheumatoid arthritis and to determine how this infection may affect the immune system and contribute to autoimmune disease.
 Methods: 100 Stool samples were collected from patients (50) & control group (50) having mild to severe abdominal symptoms also they have pain in joints and bones in order to detect H. pylori infection by stool antigen (Ag) test also urea breath test done to confirm the diagnosis , the patients also diagnosed for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) via anti -CCP test by blood samples collection .
 Results: 50 total patients were infected by H. pylori , Females have higher rate of infection with 60% and males 40% . (40-49) years old age patients have higher rate of infection . (30%) of patients with positive H. pylori and chronic gastritis suffered from Pain in bones and joints and diagnosed with RA , while only 6 % of controls without H. pylori infection diagnosed with RA and showed less gastrointestinal symptoms and no joints inflammation.
 Conclusions: In our study we can conclude that there is a strong association between gastritis in patients caused by helicobacter pylori and development of autoimmune diseases represented by rheumatoid arthritis .","PeriodicalId":491535,"journal":{"name":"مجلة مركز بحوث التقنيات الاحيائية","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135841299","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The words "collagen"is created with Greek words "kolla" and "genos," which respectively mean "glue" and "formation." It hasa wide range of biological and pharmacological uses. Pig and cow skins provide the majority of thecollagen. Utilizing animal collagen has been restricted as a result of epidemics of certain animal diseasesincluding foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) and bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) (FMD), whichpose a risk of transmission to humansObjective: The goal of this study is to extract collagen from catfish bone.Material and methods: Catfish (Silurus triostegus) bone was used to extract collagen that has beenpepsinized and acid-solubilized collagen (ASC) (PSC). The extracts' proximate composition (moisture,protein, fat, and ash) was measured, and dry weight was used to compute the yield of ASC and PSC. Themolecular weight of experimental collagen ranged from 97 to 200 KD, according to the SDS-PAGEpattern. In order to identify bone collagen, the Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectra analysis for theacquired ASC and PSC, as well as the standard collagen (type I, II), was used. Using a scanning electronmicroscope (SEM, the morphological structure of ASC and PSC was revealed), and the diffraction angles(2 θ) of ASC and PSC were determined using X-ray analysis. For quality control, the HPLC techniquewas used to determine the collagen.Rustles: The proximate composition of ASC and PSC bone of catfish. The ASC bone of catfish containedmoisture (75.22%), good amount of protein (16.65%) , fat (2.40%) and ash content (0.28 %), While thePSC bone had slightly lower moisture (68.50%) than ASC, it had higher protein (19.93%), fat (1.825%),and ash (0.58%) levels ,HPLC SEM ,FTIR ,Electrophoresis, X-ray.Conclusion: Fish bone was promising sources for preparing collagen, acid soluble collagen (ASC),pepsin soluble collagen (PSC) were successfully extracted by two methods. The collagen extracted frombone catfish, was of type I collagen, which are composed two α1, one α2 chains, and β chains as shownby SDS-PAGE patterns.","PeriodicalId":491535,"journal":{"name":"مجلة مركز بحوث التقنيات الاحيائية","volume":"184 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135081061","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
