Their prevalence is higher than that seen in clinical practice as people seem to avoid seeking medical attention. Common anorectal symptoms include anal pain with bleeding per rectum, difficulty in passing stools, mass per anum and pruritis. Common predisposing factors include mixed/nonvegetarian diet, low fiber diet, constipation, poor anal hygiene, pregnancy and lack of physical activity/exercise. This is reviewing article focusing on review literature of millets from Various Ayurveda texts, published review articles, research papers, the internet and compiling millets which are useful in anorectal diseases. Millets or shridhanya are oldest as well as primitive indigenous food grains to be used as staple food. In Ayurveda millets are mentioned by the name as shridhanya, Kudhanya, shudradhanya and TrinDhanya, They Increase Vata, balance Kapha and Pitta, Ruksha, and Grahi and are light to digest. According to Bhavprakash Kshudradhanya is Ushna has Kashaya and Madhura Ras, Laghu, Lekhan, Vipaka is Katu, Ruksha, Vat karaka and Grahi and also decrease pitta and Kapha. Millets are significantly rich in starch, soluble and insoluble dietary fibers, vitamins, minerals and antionxidants. These are a good source of essential amino acids, micronutrients, phytochemicals, antioxdants, and minerals. The presence of all required nutrients in millets makes them potential dietary supplements. Foods high in dietary fiber enhance the function of the large bowel and slow down digestion and absorption, lowering the risk of ano rectal diseases","PeriodicalId":488375,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Of Indian Medicine","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135704032","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Their job is to transmit signals from nerve cells to target cells. These target cells may be in muscles, glands, or other nerves. The nervous system controls the body’s organs, psychological and physical functions and play important roles in the system. In Ayurveda the vata dosha the controller of the body and is the causation for all the movements in the body. The dosha classifies in to 5 types are prana vata, udana vata, samana vata, vyana vata, apana vata. All these are helping all kind of movements in combination with other dosha’s and as same as the neurotransmitters.When Neurotransmitter increased level causes that we can consider like excitatory actions of the neurotransmitters. The same effect of the vata vridhi lakshanas we can see in this condition. There will be sudden, high- frequency firing of local neurons in the brain, which can even lead to seizures. The causes of over productions of neurotransmitters are Genetics, environment, chemical and nutritional deficiencies are some factors.Considering both vata dosha and neurotransmitters both can be related each other as they are the main initiator of the body functions. The utsaaha functin of the vata dosha can be consider as neurotransmitters in Ayurveda. The couple not able to reproduce, experiences the feeling of frustration and disappointment which increase oxidative stress level thereby worsening the condition. Rutu, Kshetra, Ambu and Bija these are the four things which are necessary for the normal pregnancy. Bija means both male and female fertility factors i.e., Sukra and Artava respectively. In Ayurvedic classics eight types of Sukradosha are enumerated. This classification is based upon two methods,first one is based upon involvement of Doshas of shukra,Tanu,Alpa, Ruksh, Phenil etc.and next is based upon involvement of Doshas in shukra e.g. Vataj, Pittaj,shleshmaja, shukradusti etc. Shukra is described as Seventh dhatu in our classics. Among the Seven Dhatus, Shukra Dhatu is considered as important one. Shuddha Shukra is one of the most necessary factors for the healthy progeny. Shukradushti caused by vitiation of Vata pitta dosha and becomes diminished state of quality and quantity of Shukra dathu. Oligoasthenoteratozoospermia (OAT) is a condition in which the semen sample has Oligozoospermia, which is low sperm count, Asthenozoospermia, which is poor motility and teratozoospermia, which is abnormal morphology of sperm. Nowadays Oligoasthenoteratozoospermia is the most common condition in both developing and developed countries. Here explained the successful case study of shukradushti of using ayurvedic formulation.","PeriodicalId":488375,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Of Indian Medicine","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135662633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
