First, it is necessary to enact laws and secure budgets to achieve cultural exchanges between local governments, regardless of political exchanges between the two Koreas' political exchanges. Second, a network should be established where private art organizations can communicate. {"title":"A Study of MyungJaLee’s ‘Taepyeongmu’: based on ‘BRACED’ Somatic Principles","authors":"Sung A Park, Kyung Hee Kim","doi":"10.21317/ksd.81.3.7","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21317/ksd.81.3.7","url":null,"abstract":"This study was intended to explore the MyungJaLee’s Taepyeongmu movement principles and to study the somatic movement principles inherent in it by applying ‘BRACED’, the basic somatic movement principles in order to establish not only the external and formal beauty, but also the intrinsic value of dance and the movement principles inherent in Taepyeongmu and, based on this, to lay the educational foundation for the transmission and development of the traditional dance. The movement of Taepyeongmu stands out, compared to other types of traditional dances, in terms of the change of rhythm and the variety of movements in each stage. It derived the MyungJaLee’s Taepyeongmu movement principle based on the analysis of MyungJaLee’s Taepyeongmu based on ‘BRACED’, the somatic movement principle. All six principles of 'BRACED', including Breathing, Relaxation, Alignment, Connection, Expectation, and Dance, are inherent in MyungJaLee’s Taepyeongmu and appear differently for each stage. Based on this, if the MyungJaLee’s Taepyeongmu movement principles based on BRACED is well applied and utilized from the point of view of transmission practitioners and educators, it will be available to more intensively explore the essence of traditional dances, including Taepyeongmu, etc. Transmission practitioners should subdivide the role of Breathing to control it well, reflect their bodies well, and upright their bodies centered on the pelvis. In addition, they should always introspect about the dance based on the smart body and embodied learned with the assimilated, and when they conduct an education on the transmission of the traditional dance based on the above-mentioned principles, they should first educate the theoretical background of the traditional dance before educating on its movement and then proceed with the education focusing on the movement principles. The subject of study while utilizing the somatic movement principles systemized based on the West. The works exemplify novel approaches that diverge from traditional beach dance festivals in their utilization of the sea. The Island challenged the limitations and objectives of conventional stages and sets by introducing an innovative stage design referred to as a \"barge,\" employing the stage itself as a symbolic island on the sea to enhance the dramatic impact. On the other hand, Incognita Movement combined improvised dance and dramatic direction to convey the internalized experiences associated with a specific space, namely a 'home,' employing various improvisational and stimulating techniques. In conclusion, the cases, which illuminate the convergence of the sea and contemporary dance, offer a distinctive artistic experience where dance staging and production processes are exposed in open environments, blurring the demarcation between the stage and nature. It also seeks to propose ways to improve the quality of dance education and redefine its role within the broader fields of culture and art education. The analysis is divided into four categories - date, target, method, and subject. Factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, and mediated regression analysis were conducted using the SPSS 18.0 statistical program to find out the effect of a motive to participate in a dance Concours on dance continuity intention and to identify the mediating effect of mentoring. As a result of multiple regression analysis, it was found that skill acquisition and self-fulfillment of the concours participation motivation had a positive effect on tendency and reinforcement. As a result of mediated regression analysis, it was found that the role model function partially mediated the relationship between technology acquisition, self-achievement, tendency, and reinforcement, and career development function partially mediated the relationship between technology acquisition, self-achievement, tendency, and reinforcement. {"title":"The Moderated Mediation Effects of Career and Talent Self-Efficacy and Grit in the Relationship between University Dancers’ Talent Management and Performance","authors":"Hye Min Kim","doi":"10.21317/ksd.81.3.4","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21317/ksd.81.3.4","url":null,"abstract":"The purpose of this study was to investigate whether grit moderate the mediating effects of talent management on dance performance through career and talent development self-efficacy among university dance students. For this, a preliminary survey of 118 dance students (13 males, 105 females) was conducted to test the validity and reliability of the Korean version of two measures. And a main survey of 238 dance students (16 males, 222 females) was administrated to examine the moderated mediation model of grit. Descriptive statistics, correlations, and moderated regression analysis were conducted. The result of simple regression analysis shows that talent management was a positive predictor of career and talent development self-efficacy, grit, and dance performance among university dance students, and that career and talent development self-efficacy partially mediated the relationship between talent management and dance performance. Results of moderated regression analyses indicated that the effect of career and talent development self-efficacy on dance performance is not moderated by grit. But the effect of career and talent development self-efficacy on the relationship between talent management and dance performance is greater when grit for dance are higher. As a result of conducting a paired sample T analysis to analyze the educational needs recognized by dance major students, overall satisfaction with the current performance level was lower than the importance of competency. As a result of Borich's demand analysis and The Locus for Focus Model analysis, two top priorities of learning competencies, one top priority of job competencies and three sub priorities were derived.
