This review aims to specify the added value of ecologically valid assessments at a micro-level when examining the associations between SRC and EXT symptoms in adolescents. This systematic review was reported according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) 2020. The search strategy addressed the added value of (1) naturalistic assessment for the understanding of the relationship between (2) SRC and (3) EXT symptoms in (4) adolescents. We conducted comprehensive searches in bibliographic databases. An additional search was conducted in Google Scholar and supplementary studies were identified through backward and forward citation tracking. Twenty-four studies (n = 4071 adolescents) met the inclusion criteria. The methods used to assess naturalistic aspects included the experience sampling method (ecological momentary- or ambulatory assessment) and the time-course approach (i.e., real-time assessment of SRC processes referring to situations approximating real-life experience where SRC are to be engaged such as in frustrating situations). Micro-level ecological assessments, when mapping the intra-individual relationships between SRC processes and EXT symptoms over time in adolescents within their natural context (i.e., real world) of expression in real time, added a finer-grained observation alongside with a higher ecological validity. Micro-level approaches may enhance the understanding of the complex interplay between SRC and EXT symptoms in adolescence, especially in interventional studies, allowing for the acquisition of endpoints with a higher relevance for everyday functioning.</p>","PeriodicalId":48701,"journal":{"name":"Physical Review B","volume":"62 1","pages":"2387-2397"},"PeriodicalIF":6.4,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10682160/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83934045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":2,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pain in this disorder originates from the stylomandibular ligament insertion site and radiates to the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), neck, shoulder, and periauricular region. Ten subjects who had undergone surgery for mandible fractures diagnosed with Ernest syndrome were considered for the present study. The origins and insertions of the stylomandibular ligament were marked and palpated using fingertip and blunt probe. The Ernest syndrome was confirmed by injecting diagnostic local anesthesia injection. A single dose of 2 ml methylprednisolone (40 mg/ml) was injected at the insertion site of a stylomandibular ligament in each subject. The effect of methylprednisolone injection on pain and various jaw movements were assessed at 1-month and 6-months after the injection. The mean pain value ranks during rest & while mouth opening in the visual analogue scale (VAS) reduced significantly after single injection (P < 0.001). The mean mouth opening increased significantly from 23.3 ± 3.94 mm before the treatment to 36.1 ± 3.07 mm at 1-week and 35.4 ± 2.17 mm at 6-months after the treatment (P < 0.001). The mandible protrusive movement increased from 4.07 ± 0.74 mm before treatment to 5.06 ± 0.62 mm at 1-week and 4.94 ± 0.62 mm at 6-months after the injection, respectively. Single dose of methylprednisolone injection at the insertion site of the stylomandibular ligament was proved effective on pain and various mandibular movements among patients with Ernest syndrome.</p>","PeriodicalId":48701,"journal":{"name":"Physical Review B","volume":"59 1","pages":"3047-3052"},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10646056/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84234496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":2,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Here, we have studied the electronic structure of Nb3Br8 by using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) and first-principles calculations. ARPES results depict the presence of multiple flat and weakly dispersing bands. These bands are well explained by the theoretical calculations, which show they have Nb d character indicating their origination from the Nb atoms forming the breathing kagome plane. This van der Waals material can be easily thinned down via mechanical exfoliation to the ultrathin limit and such ultrathin samples are stable as depicted from the time-dependent Raman spectroscopy measurements at room temperature. These results demonstrate that Nb3Br8 is an excellent material not only for studying breathing kagome induced flat band physics and its connection with magnetism, but also for heterostructure fabrication for application purposes.","PeriodicalId":48701,"journal":{"name":"Physical Review B","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":3.7,"publicationDate":"2023-09-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48589113","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":2,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
