Bound-state solutions are obtained using the stochastic variational method, and the continuum region is studied by employing two independent methods: the inverse analytic continuation in the coupling constant method and the complex scaling method. Our calculations yield both the $mathrm{ensuremath{Lambda}}nn$ and $_{mathrm{ensuremath{Lambda}}}^{3}mathrm{H}^{*}$ states unbound. We conclude that the excited state $_{mathrm{ensuremath{Lambda}}}^{3}mathrm{H}^{*}$ is a virtual state and the $mathrm{ensuremath{Lambda}}nn$ pole located close to the three-body threshold in a complex energy plane could convert to a true resonance with $mathrm{Re}(E)g0$ for some considered $mathrm{ensuremath{Lambda}}N$ interactions. Finally, the stability of resonance solutions is discussed and limits of the accuracy of performed calculations are assessed.","PeriodicalId":48700,"journal":{"name":"Physical Review C","volume":"104 1","pages":"025204"},"PeriodicalIF":3.1,"publicationDate":"2021-02-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84950319","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":2,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The $G$-matrix double-folding method is employed to determine the nucleus-nucleus optical potential within the framework of the Lane model. $G$ matrices are obtained from a Brueckner-Hartree-Fock calculation using the Argonne Av18 nucleon-nucleon potential. Target densities have been taken from Skyrme-Hartree-Fock calculations which predict values for the neutron skin thickness of heavy nuclei compatible with current existing data. Calculations are compared with experimental data of the reactions $(p,n)mathrm{IAS}$ on $^{14}mathrm{C}$ at ${E}_{mathrm{lab}}=135$ MeV and $^{48}mathrm{Ca}$ at ${E}_{mathrm{lab}}=134$ MeV and ${E}_{mathrm{lab}}=160$ MeV, and $(^{3}mathrm{He},t)mathrm{IAS}$ on $^{58}mathrm{Ni},$ $^{90}mathrm{Zr},$ and $^{208}mathrm{Pb}$ at ${E}_{mathrm{lab}}=420$ MeV. Experimental results are well described without the necessity of any rescaling of the strength of the optical potential. A clear improvement in the description of the differential cross sections for the $(^{3}mathrm{He},t)mathrm{IAS}$ reactions on $^{58}mathrm{Ni}$ and $^{90}mathrm{Zr}$ targets is found when the neutron excess density is used to determine the transition densities. Our results show that the density and isospin dependences of the $G$ matrices play a non-negligible role in the description of the experimental data.","PeriodicalId":48700,"journal":{"name":"Physical Review C","volume":"140 ","pages":"024601"},"PeriodicalIF":3.1,"publicationDate":"2021-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1103/PHYSREVC.103.024601","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72543614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":2,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Naive dimensional analysis predicts these forces to be dominated by long-range one-pion-exchange processes, with short-range forces entering only at next-to-next-to-leading order in the chiral expansion. Based on renormalization arguments we argue that a consistent picture of CP-violating nuclear forces requires a leading-order short-distance operator contributing to ${}^1S_0$-${}^3P_0$ transitions, due to the attractive and singular nature of the strong tensor force in the ${}^3P_0$ channel. The short-distance operator leads to $mathcal O(1)$ corrections to static and oscillating, relevant for axion searches, electric dipole moments. We discuss strategies how the finite part of the associated low-energy constant can be determined in the case of CP violation from the QCD theta term by the connection to charge-symmetry violation in nuclear systems.","PeriodicalId":48700,"journal":{"name":"Physical Review C","volume":"60 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":3.1,"publicationDate":"2021-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89174685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":2,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
