The study utilized  data from diverse healthcare settings affiliated with  Sivaraj Homoeopathic Medical College and Research  Institute, Salem. Methods: A total of 30 cases meeting the inclusion  criteria, comprising both sexes aged between 30 to 75  years, diagnosed with hypertension based on clinical  parameters (systolic BP >140 mmHg, diastolic BP  >90 mmHg), and presenting common symptoms,  were included. Exclusion criteria encompassed cases  of secondary hypertension and those with incomplete  follow-ups. The efficacy of Boerhaavia diffusa  mother tincture was assessed by changes in blood  pressure recorded during the treatment period. The  study adhered to ethical guidelines, and all patients  received Boerhaavia diffusa mother tincture as part  of their therapeutic regimen. Results and Discussion: Among the 30 cases  analyzed, 6 patients exhibited marked improvement,  10 demonstrated moderate improvement, and 10  showed mild improvement, while 4 cases showed  no improvement. Notably, the majority of patients  experienced marked symptomatic relief. Despite the  positive trend observed in the outcomes, the study  has limitations, including a small sample size and  the absence of a control group. The lack of detailed information on dosage and treatment duration  further restricts the generalizability of the findings.  The retrospective nature of the analysis introduces  potential biases, and confounding factors such as  lifestyle changes were not systematically addressed. Conclusion: This retrospective case record analysis  suggests a potential beneficial effect of Boerhaavia  diffusa mother tincture in managing hypertension.  The majority of patients experienced symptomatic  relief, although caution is warranted due to study  limitations. Future research, including well-designed  randomized controlled trials with larger sample  sizes, is needed to establish the efficacy and safety  of Boerhaavia diffusa mother tincture in hypertensive  patients.","PeriodicalId":486795,"journal":{"name":"Advancements in Homeopathic Research","volume":"10 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140082854","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It  has become one of the common problems globally.Methods: An experimental study was conducted on  60 patients diagnosed with cervical spondylosis as per  the inclusion and exclusion criteria. All 60 cases of  cervical spondylosis were randomized into 2 groups  of 30 patients each. One group was prescribed with  Individualized Homoeopathic medicine in decimal  scale potency and the other group was prescribed  with centesimal scale potencies of Individualized  Homoeopathic medicine. The Remedy Response  Evaluation Form was used to assess and interpret  the follow up of the patients. The improvement of  the patients was assessed by the Neck Disability  Index (NDI). Result: Intra-group changes in NDI  score were found statistically significant (P < 0.001,  unpaired t test) group difference though favored  centesimal against decimal. Conclusion: On statistical analysis, the p value was  less than 0.001. This retrospective analysis aims to  underscore the advantages of homeopathy, focusing  on common chronic ailments such as irritable bowel  syndrome (IBS), polycystic ovarian syndrome  (PCOD), bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, and low  backache. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted  retrospectively among patients attending the general  Outpatient Department (OPD 2) at the National  Homeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health,  Kottayam, Kerala, every Tuesday from January 2023  to July 2023 (7 months). Analysis of data from 1677  patients revealed patterns of frequently indicated  medicines. Results: A total of 1677 patients were included in  the study, revealing distinct patterns in demographics  and health conditions. The age distribution (Table  1, Figure1) indicated a higher prevalence among  individuals aged 51-60 years (24%), while those in  the 91-100 age group showed the least representation  (1%). Notably, a predominant male presence  was observed, constituting 51% of the patient  population(Table2, Figure2). Among the patients,  197 were new attendees, while 1480 were returning  patients, highlighting the sustained engagement of  individuals with homeopathic care over time (Table 3,  Figure3). The most prevalent disorders encountered  during the study period (Table4, Figure4) were  Bronchial Asthma (10%), Acid Peptic Disease (9%),  and Diabetes Mellitus (9%). The most frequently  used remedies were Sulphur, Pulsatilla, Nuxvomica,  and RhusToxicodendron. Conclusion: In summary, this retrospective study  involving 1677 patients at the National Homeopathy  Research Institute in Mental Health revealed a  predominant male demographic, with a concentration  of cases in the 51-60 age group. Common disorders  included Bronchial Asthma, Acid Peptic Disease,  and Diabetes Mellitus, while Sulphur, Pulsatilla,  Nuxvomica, and Rhustox emerged as frequently  indicated remedies. The most  likely cause could be either the pathogenetic aspects  or psychiatric complications of Covid-19, which  can lead to the appearance or aggravation of hair  loss. Homoeopathy has a vital role to play in such  areas; where no specific therapeutic intervention is  available in modern medicine especially when the  disease is stress induced. Since Homoeopathy is the  only healing science that takes care of the patient  as a whole; the root cause, the physical and mental  state of the patient along with the disease symptoms  which individualizes the patient from one another  are the basis of accurate and effective homoeopathic  prescription. Hair loss,  attributed to genetic predisposition, hormonal  imbalances, and psychosocial impacts, necessitates  effective treatments. This study aims to assess the  safety and efficacy of specific formulations Zauber™  Hair Drops (Zauber™) and Zauberöl® Premium  Hair Oil (Zauberöl®) in addressing testosterone induced alopecia, utilizing a rat model. This research  contributes to our understanding of potential solutions  to the rising prevalence of this condition.Materials and Methods: 60 Male Wistar rats were divided into ten groups.  To induce alopecia, testosterone was administered  intramuscularly, excluding the normal control group.  Experimental groups received distinct treatments,  including oral homeopathic drops Zauber™ in mild,  moderate and high doses, topical treatment Zauberöl®  alone and along with ZauberTM in 3 different doses,  and a standard drug, over 28 days. Comprehensive  observations and assessments were conducted. Results and Discussion: The results of the study showed that all groups  maintained their body weights and food consumption,  but those taking Zauber™ and Zauberöl® saw  considerable hair follicle growth without severe  blood clotting or systemic toxicity, as seen by stable  organ weights. The treatment groups showed steady  haematological parameters, and sophisticated imaging  showed that Zauber™ + Zauberöl® effectively  promotes hair follicle growth and development.  Higher anagen-to-telogen ratios in treated groups,  particularly in the Zauber™ + Zauberöl® groups,  show desirable efficiency in alopecia treatment than  the standalone therapies.  Conclusion: Our study highlights the synergistic therapeutic  effects of Zauber™ and Zauberöl® in treating  testosterone-induced alopecia in rats, surpassing  stand-alone therapies. The observed improvements  in various health indicators underscore the  potential efficacy and safety of this combined  treatment approach.","PeriodicalId":486795,"journal":{"name":"Advancements in Homeopathic Research","volume":"108 52","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140088452","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
