Togo Murano recalled the process was quite difficult to achieve understanding and approval from the priests. This paper analyzes the creative evolution of the cathedral’s exterior form until the conclusion of the schematic design in November 1948. A proposed analytical method was applied on totally undated sketches and drawings to reveal the architect’s morphological creation and development of diverse types in a very short period, as well as his design thinking and strategy in this phase.","PeriodicalId":486779,"journal":{"name":"Journal of architecture,planning and environmental engineering","volume":"26 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135161097","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sugaya Tatara Sannai Ironmaking Village is an only remaining example of Sannai, thus designated as an Important Tangible Folk Cultural Property. However, the terraced houses built for employees called ‘Nagaya’ are currently at the risk of demolition due to deteriorations of buildings and depopulation of the settlement. These results suggest that the visually impaired have a structure of posture and touching patterns and it makes it easier to cognitive the space.","PeriodicalId":486779,"journal":{"name":"Journal of architecture,planning and environmental engineering","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135372315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results revealed the average numbers of trains and restaurants around the stations were positively correlated with the step count, while the time to Yokohama Station was negatively correlated. These convenience indices of railway stations partially explained the step counts’ variation between stations. In addition, the association between station convenience and step count was stronger in areas closer to stations. Therefore, station convenience should be considered in walking promotion measures.","PeriodicalId":486779,"journal":{"name":"Journal of architecture,planning and environmental engineering","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135372345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
