Using graphene to capture CO2 gas is of great interest to mitigate global warming, where CO2 capture by doped graphene has been shown to significantly improve the CO2 adsorption capacity compared to that of pure graphene. In particular, N-doped graphene is a unique structure that was suggested for CO2 capture by the adsorption phenomenon. However, there is no research available to clarify nitrogen doping concentration in graphene on CO2 adsorption. Therefore, this work has been devoted to elucidating the problem using the density functional theory method considering van der Waals interaction. We showed that increasing the doping content of nitrogen by 3.1, 6.3, 9.4, and 12.5% will increase the CO2 adsorption energy, monotonically for N content below 9.4% and significantly for 12.5%. The most favorable adsorption configuration of the CO2 molecule should be parallel to the surface of the N-doped graphene. The structure of the substrate at 12.5% N distorted upon the CO2 adsorption; therefore, the substrate is more active for CO2 capture. The physical meaning underlying the interaction of the N@graphene system is physisorption, which is due to the contribution of the N pz state and the CO2 pz state along the surface normal of the substrate. Increasing the N-doping content shifts down the unoccupied states of the N pz orbital in the conduction band across the Fermi level to the valence band. Hence, the population of the occupied state at the Fermi level increases as increasing the N-doping concentration, leading to the stronger interaction of the CO2 molecule with the N@graphene substrate. The results should be useful for the rational design of suitable N@graphene substrates for CO2 capture and storage applications.","PeriodicalId":486088,"journal":{"name":"Tạp chí Phát triển khoa học & công nghệ: chuyên san Kỹ thuật & Công nghệ","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136202110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nowadays, science and technology in the field of civil engineering have advanced significantly. The development of effective and reliable methods for damage detection has been a remarkable research topic for many years. This study presents a method of detecting the position and width of crack zones for reinforced concrete (RC) beams using the curvature of the deformed shape as input data. A 4-point bending test of an RC beam is simulated using ANSYS APDL software. The simulation results are verified by comparing with experimental results to verify the numerical simulation's reliability. The change in the deformed shape curvature in the RC beam is analyzed with different loading levels. Then, a set of damage identification indices based on the difference in the deformed shape curvature is proposed to evaluate the method’s accuracy. The results show that the deformed shape curvature method has high accuracy in identifying the location and the width of the crack zones in the RC beam under loading.","PeriodicalId":486088,"journal":{"name":"Tạp chí Phát triển khoa học & công nghệ: chuyên san Kỹ thuật & Công nghệ","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136203242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed model is built by connecting half-bridge cells in series. The output voltage can be adjusted according to demand by adding or subtracting cells. Cells use communication protocols to transmit and receive information with two neighboring cells. The received data contains information for the decentralized space vector pulse width modulation (DSVPWM) method proposed in this paper. In the proposed DSVPWM method, cells set up links to exchange information such as cell position, total cells in a phase, reference voltage amplitude, and reference frequency. The PWM control signals of each cell are calculated based on the information received. The study also focuses on evaluating the ability to adjust the switching vector and the corresponding dwell time of the cells when the structure of the DPC changes. The ability to dynamically reconfigure the DPC is a crucial feature that ensures uninterrupted power supply in case of one or several cell failures. The system automatically establishes a new state with the active cells. The proposed configuration and communication method between cells provide very fast configuration times. The load voltage of the DPC is adjusted to 0.5 times the voltage per cell, which allows the modulation voltage amplitude to be adjusted best according to the load requirements. The study used Matlab/Simulink software to review the initial assessments. The proposed model and algorithms will be verified on the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) platform with a 220V/500W load.","PeriodicalId":486088,"journal":{"name":"Tạp chí Phát triển khoa học & công nghệ: chuyên san Kỹ thuật & Công nghệ","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136207604","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mathematical model - numerical using Matlab programming language (Numerical model), Multi Body Dynamics (MBD) using Matlab Simmechanics tool (MBD model) and finite element model using Ansys APDL (FEM model) are employed. The strengths and limitations of each method are analyzed through the process of building models and retrieving the resulting data. The evaluation indexes include the response of driver's seat acceleration, response of the seat suspension's relative displacement and the seat suspension's vibration isolation ability according to two investigated cases of natural frequency and damping ratio. The obtained results from all 3 methods have no difference and the evaluation indexes are suitable according to the studies on vehicle vibration response. The Numerical model method requires the user to perform complex mathematical modeling. The MBD model method using Matlab Simmechanics is simpler, using built-in function blocks, requiring declarations to establish the exact initial equilibrium position of the mass elements. The FEM model method using Ansys APDL with keypoints and lines describing the model elements requires precise setting of the displacement of each keypoint. However, both the MBD and FEM model methods are only effective when investigating the response in the time domain for a particular instance of the excitation frequency. When analyzing the response in the frequency domain, which requires accessing and synthesizing data of many cases in the investigated frequency range, these two methods have many limitations in the calculation process, specifically, in performing complex computations with many loops and variables. Solving problems also takes longer than numerical method using mathematical model. The obtained results are analyzed in the time domain, frequency domain, and the value domain of the driver's seat suspension parameters. This result serves as a basis for developing the design of the driver's seat suspension system with nonlinear spring and shock absorber, and the selection of a calculation method suitable for each problem in the field of vehicle vibration.","PeriodicalId":486088,"journal":{"name":"Tạp chí Phát triển khoa học & công nghệ: chuyên san Kỹ thuật & Công nghệ","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135059571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Research on rechargeable solid-state Li-ion batteries has a long history and has been accelerating recently. Solid electrolytes are the most important component in the all-solid-state batteries. Solid electrolytes can be divided into the following groups: oxide groups (Perovskite Li3.3La0.56TiO3, NASICON LiTi2(PO4)3, LISICON Li14Zn(GeO4)4, and Li7La3Zr2O12 garnets), sulfide groups (Li2S – P2S5 and Li2S – P2S5 – MxS), hydride group (LiBH4, LiBH4–LiX (X=Cl, Br or I), LiBH4–LiNH2, LiNH2, Li3AlH6 and Li2NH), halogen group (LiI, spinel Li2ZnI4 and anti-perovskite Li3OCl), and polymer group (mainly polyethylene). Although electrolytes with good ionic conductivity have been used, the performance of solid-state rechargeable Li-ion batteries is still far behind that of the ones using liquid electrolytes. Along with the development of science and technology, many scientific and technical problems in solid-state rechargeable Li-ion batteries have been discovered. In this review, the major issues of solid-state rechargeable Li-ion batteries will be breifly documented: the interface between the active material (AM) and the solid electrolyte (SE), aging of the solid-solid interface, electrode structure, and fabrication methods.","PeriodicalId":486088,"journal":{"name":"Tạp chí Phát triển khoa học & công nghệ: chuyên san Kỹ thuật & Công nghệ","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136201824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the utilization of waste or potential materials is gaining attention. This study aims to investigate the effect of partially replacing Portland cement with sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA) in Phu Yen province and sea sand-seawater (SSSW) on the properties of foam concrete. Portland cement was replaced with SCBA at 0, 5, 10, and 15% by mass of the binder. The results showed that the compressive strength of foam concrete was reduced at 7 days due to the SCBA replacement. However, the inclusion of 5% and 10% SCBA increased the compressive strength and reduced the water absorption of foam concrete compared to the reference concrete at 91 days. Moreover, the combination of SCBA and SSSW significantly contributed to the enhancement of compressive strength and reduction of water absorption of foam concrete at 91 days, especially when SCBA replacement was less than 10%. In general, the use of SCBA and SSSW is feasible in the production of foam concrete, considering the increasing scarcity of construction materials and the goal of reducing CO2 emissions.","PeriodicalId":486088,"journal":{"name":"Tạp chí Phát triển khoa học & công nghệ: chuyên san Kỹ thuật & Công nghệ","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135102002","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

AAC is composed of lime, cement, sand, fly ash and aluminum powder, which is the component that plays an important role in creating air voids, an essential factor of the AAC. The production process of the AAC block comprises of stages such as: mixing, casting, cutting, autoclaving, etc. All of the stages are conducted in an eco-friendly manner. The AAC is also called the future of construction materials because of its light weight feature when compared to red bricks along with excellent sound/heat insulation. AAC Blocks will help to reduce the use of cement, sand together with steel and other materials in the construction work. AAC Blocks can be used for both interior and exterior construction. In many construction projects, the AAC block is a more expensive choice than the red brick but the AAC blocks are more often used due to its cheap total construction value. Application of AAC block is very wide such as in industrial constructions, commercial buildings, offices, schools in rural areas, especially in fast construction of houses. The AAC blocks use cement mortar to bond and require a thinner layer than red bricks. Although the bond layer is very thin at only a few millimeters, the strength of the bond is very strong in both cases of load bearing and non-load bearing walls. The AAC Block has many more advantages when compared to other brick types in the construction market, however, the manufacturing process still needs improving to compete with itself in the future. AAC is a kind of cast concrete. The manufacturing process consists of: First, the sand, cement, lime, water, aluminum powder with a reasonable ratio is mixed well until the mixture is slurry. Secondly, the mixture is poured into the mold and left in the mold for a few hours. Thirdly, a transportation device helps to unmold and move the products to the cutting area. At the cutting area, the mixture is cut into blocks and proceeds to the autoclave under heat and pressure for 10 hours. There are many approaches to decrease the manufacturing time of AAC blocks. The main focus of the previous approaches is the forming of air voids when casting. In the traditional method, the aluminum powder will react with calcium hydroxide and water to create hydrogen gas which results in the creation of foam within the concrete. This method takes a long period of time for the reaction to complete. To reduce the time needed, some researchers use air or different reaction methods to create the foam. In this paper, a new approach will be introduced. The reduction of time will be focused on the waiting time before the cutting by measuring the time needed for the material to reach the suitable hardness. Among the 4 stages in producing AAC blocks, the paper will focus on improvement the process of molding and unmolding to reduce the amount of time and also keeping the quality suitable. Up to now lots of obstacle avoidance techniques have been introduced and successfully applied in practice. Unfortunately, in almost of these ob-stacle avoidance algorithms, the uncertainty of the input that includes obstacle tracking measurements, have not been satisfactorily investigated. This uncertainty happened from measurement approaches along with obstacles’ nonlinear locomotion. Several researches have tried to overcome this problem via detecting obsta-cles directly or indirectly based on global/local communication and/or the third party like the Automatic identification system (AIS). Inspired with these achievements, this paper aims to deal with uncertain infor-mation of obstacles resulting in from practical obstacle-avoiding techniques for autonomous vehicles. In fact, this problem is ignored in many researches by assumptions that measurements are perfect or the vehicle can fully observe the state of obstacles. A probability model is proposed to evaluate the possibility of colli-sion quantitatively based on the current position of the vehicle and the probability distribution of obstacles’ position. This probability model is then applied to design a new repulsive function. Hence, the resulting arti-ficial potential field can avoid uncertain obstacles by maneuvering the vehicle in the direction of decreasing collision risk. Numerical simulations are carried out to verify the proposed collision avoidance model, and the simulation results show that the proposed method can help autonomous vehicles to efficiently pass obsta-cles safely with uncertain information. As a consequent, the proposed algorithm can guide the autonomous vehicle (AV) to effectively and safely pass static and dynamic obstacles with respect to uncertain infor-mation. Further research can focus on dynamic obstacles which will be investigated via integrating the speed variable into the considered probability model.","PeriodicalId":486088,"journal":{"name":"Tạp chí Phát triển khoa học & công nghệ: chuyên san Kỹ thuật & Công nghệ","volume":"139 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136208451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes a Search Group Algorithm (SGA) method to determine the optimal location, capacity, and quantity of DGs in distribution networks. The SGA method has a good ability to find optimal solutions thanks to the ability to balance between the global search and local search in the optimization process. The objective of the problem is to minimize the power loss of the distribution networks while meeting the constraints of the networks, such as power balance, bus voltage limit, branch current limit, DG power limit, and DG penetration limit. The proposed method is applied to the IEEE 33-node and 69-node distribution networks with two different cases. After integrating DGs into distribution networks, the power loss are reduced by 70.14% and 70.23% for the 33-node and 69-node distribution networks, respectively. The results obtained from the SGA method were compared with other methods in the literature. The simulation results have proved that the SGA method has good performance for the optimal DG placement problem in distribution networks.","PeriodicalId":486088,"journal":{"name":"Tạp chí Phát triển khoa học & công nghệ: chuyên san Kỹ thuật & Công nghệ","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135059765","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A parameter, namely damage, in the range [0,1] is used to characterize the material from intact state to complete failure. Classical local damage model is known for low computational cost but it suffers from numerical issues such as difficult convergence and mesh-density-dependent results. Various non-local models have therefore been proposed, however the computational cost is increased, which hinders the applicability in practical problems. Furthermore, the width of the damage zone predicted by the non-local models is usually non-physically large. Here, the improvement is the introduction of the fracture energy and element-size into the calculation of damage parameters to mitigate the weakness of the local damage model, while keeping low computational cost. The employment of polygonal element is also proposed to utilize the advantage of high-accuracy, thus less number of elements (than the usual 3-node triangular or 4-node quadrilateral elements) can be used. The bi-energy norm-based equivalent strain is for the first time considered in a local damage model. This quantity is based on the maximum strain criterion, but with a modification to take into account the property of quasi-brittle materials such as concrete, limestone, etc., that load capacity in compression is higher than in tension. Accuracy and efficiency of the proposed model is investigated through comparison with reference results from experiments and other numerical methods.","PeriodicalId":486088,"journal":{"name":"Tạp chí Phát triển khoa học & công nghệ: chuyên san Kỹ thuật & Công nghệ","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136202148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
