Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis struktur komunitas cacing laut (Polychaeta) yang mencakup komposisi, kepadatan, indeks keanekargaman, indeks kesamaan komunitas dan pola penyebaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei dan pengamatan langsung di lapangan, dengan penentuan stasiun secara purposive, metode pengambilan sampel adalah dengan membuat garis transek pada masing-masing stasiun(sebanyak enam stasiun). Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan sebanyak 33 genera polychaeta dari 28 famili. Kepadatan polychaeta berkisar dari 124-2578 individu/m², tergolong tidak padat hingga sangat padat, tujuh famili yang umum ditemukan adalah Sternaspidae, Nereididae, Nephtydae, Pilargiidae, Heterospionidae, Capitellidae dan Opheliidae (total 65%), sedangkan sebelas famili lainnya (3%) merupakan kelompok yang minoritas. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman tergolong kategori rendah hingga sedang (0,8-2,5), Nilai indeks kesamaan komunitas antar stasiun berkisar dari 0% hingga 65%, pola penyebaran polychaeta semuanya kategori mengelompok (nilai Id >1). Tekstur substrat terdiri dari pasir, debu dan liat. Berdasarkan fraksinya, lumpur sangat dominan 48% ± 18. Peralatan yang digunakan untuk menguji sifat fisis dan mekanik pada kedua bahan jenis bahan kayu tersebut adalah alat Zwick Roell Z005. Metode yang digunakan adalah uji tarik, uji kekerasan, uji densitas, dan uji absobsi air. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan MDF memiliki kekerasan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan bahan HMR, namun memiliki densitas yang lebih tinggi. Selain itu, bahan MDF juga menyerap air lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan bahan HMR. Namun, dalam hal ketahanan terhadap tarikan dan impak, bahan HMR menunjukkan peforma yang lebih baik daripada bahan MDF. Batuan beku pada daerah penelitian tersebar dengan cukup luas dan mempunyai karakteristik yang menarik baik secara megaskopis maupun secara petrografi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik, komposisi, dan Penamaan batupasir pada daerah penelitian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi observasi lapangan dan analisis petrografi menggunakan mikroskop polarisasi pada sampel sayatan tipis yang telah diambil dari lokasi penelitian. Berdasarkan presentase mineral didapatkan dua sampel masuk ke jenis sublitharenite dan satu sampel masuk ke jenis litharenite serta tiga sampel masuk ke Feldspastic wacke. Dari tatanan tektonik sampel masuk kedalam 2 zona yaitu magmatic arc dan recucled orogen. Untuk zona magmatic arc terdiri dari sampel batupasir TML 12 sub – zona dissected arc, TMl 20 sub – zona Transitonal arc, TMl 25 sub – zona transitional  arc dan TML 66 sub – zona dissected arc, sementara zona recycled orogen terbagi atas sampel TML 40 sub – zona quartzose recycled, dan  TML 69 sub – zona quartzose recycled.
