Although eastern China is one of the most concentrated distribution areas of endemic bryophytes in East Asia, these species are also faced with the threats of habitat inadequacy. In order to get more information on bryophyte habitat and diversity, we investigated species composition, habitat preference, as well as species diversity differences of bryophytes under different habitat conditions in Jiulongshan National Forest Park (JNFP). In particular, the results showed that 108 specimens of bryophyte were collected in total, including 46 species in 32 genera of 21 families. Furthermore, we had found 12 species of bryophytes that had never been recorded before in Zhejiang Province. Remarkably, 40.74% of bryophytes were found to grow on natural rocks, followed by understories and roadside habitats. In addition, the Patrick richness index (R) varied most significantly among different habitats (p < 0.001). In a conservation perspective, natural rocks, roadways and understories should be preserved to protect bryophyte diversity.","PeriodicalId":48478,"journal":{"name":"All Life","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135272080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"综合性期刊","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors analysed 23 samples of food supplements by using liquid chromatographic methods. The presence/absence of substances with steroid structure was determined by considering the resulting chromatograms and using reference substances. The analysis of the resulting data showed that 11 out of 23 samples of food supplements did not contain anabolic steroid substances, while different amounts of androgenic steroid substances were identified in the other 12 samples. The results from the analyses confirmed the hypothesis formulated by the authors for possible presence of undeclared steroid ingredients in food supplements, and enabled the following conclusion: more than half of the tested food supplements contained undeclared anabolic steroids, all banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency, and their number in one of the samples could be more than one. The authors also revealed that the information on the product label and package concealed the undeclared ingredients of the food supplement and claimed for high efficacy and safety.","PeriodicalId":48478,"journal":{"name":"All Life","volume":"30 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136381587","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"综合性期刊","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dysregulated microRNAs (miRNAs) and messenger RNAs (mRNAs) based on two Gene Expression Omnibus microarrays were analyzed using bioinformatics technology and experiments. KEGG and GO enrichment analyses were performed to explore potential mechanisms of myocardial infarction progression. Immune infiltration analysis was used to assess the relationship between the immune microenvironment and myocardial infarction. The DOX-induced myocardial injury model was used to simulate myocardial infarction. qRT-PCR was performed to validate the expression of hub genes. 5 downregulated miRNAs and 14 upregulated mRNAs were identified in total. Functional analysis revealed that some immune-related pathways were significantly enriched. T cells CD8+ were mainly enriched in the normal tissues compared to the myocardial infarction tissues. Meanwhile, the T cells CD4+ memory resting were highly enriched in the myocardial infarction tissues compared to the normal tissues. Experimental validation of miRNAs and mRNAs contributed to the identification of 4 miRNAs and 12 mRNAs that may play a crucial role in the DOX-induced myocardial infarction cell model. Our study successfully identified several genes that may be related to myocardial infarction progression.","PeriodicalId":48478,"journal":{"name":"All Life","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134960672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"综合性期刊","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We aimed to identify potential molecules involved in CD severity. Weighted gene co-expression network and differentially expressed gene analyses were used to explore hub genes associated with inflammation and involved in pathological processes of CD in the GSE83448 cohort. The expression and relationship of genes with clinical characteristics in normal and CD intestinal mucosa were validated in GSE208303 and our research cohorts. Five genes related to disease and inflammation were identified in the clinically significant modules that were differentially expressed in healthy controls and CD patients. Among them, solute carrier family 39 member 5 (SLC39A5) expression was reduced in CD tissues compared with that in normal tissues; low SLC39A5 expression was associated with CD-simplifying endoscopic score and stenosis. Furthermore, we broadened the bioinformatic threshold with qRT-PCR verification and western blot, and found that the expressions of cytochrome P450 family 2 subfamily S member 1 (CYP2S1), fatty acid 2-hydroxylase (FA2H), fatty acid binding protein 1 (FABP1), and Rho family GTPase 3 (RND3) were reduced in CD tissues. Therefore, SLC39A5, CYP2S1, FA2H, FABP1, and RND3 may be novel biomarkers for CD and associated with severity.","PeriodicalId":48478,"journal":{"name":"All Life","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134970664","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"综合性期刊","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
