For the realisation of the purpose the next methods were used: analysis, synthesis, comparison, abstraction, forecasting. In the results, it is noted that the Ukrainian structure of professional education differs from the European one in the absence of intermediary organisations that contribute to the educational process. The cooperation in establishing links between industries, firms and companies, and professional education institutions is at the level of private initiatives. It has also been found that the negative processes that hinder the development of the transformation of vocational education are uncompetitive teacher salaries and low levels of digital competence. Accordingly, this affects the low motivation to use innovative educational methods and technologies in education. The conclusions note the possibility of borrowing the French experience of the reorganisation of professional education with the formation of a structure in which students begin to receive professional education in the last grades of school.","PeriodicalId":484447,"journal":{"name":"Journal of curriculum and teaching","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135760079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methodology. For the revelation of the problematic the systematic method, comparative analysis, abstraction, and dialectical method were used. The results evaluated the experience of European universities in the implementation of relevant educational programs, namely the British, French, Spanish practices were analyzed. Since 2007 the European Union has been funding research to explore the best models for organizing distance education. Many universities have integrated library, information, and archival specialties, inspired by the British experience. Training in these fields focuses on equipping students with competencies that are applicable across these professions. While the UK's digitalization and information infrastructure are advanced, other countries can still benefit from adopting their experience, formalized in a national standard. France and Spain have also given significant attention to the issue of distance learning. Spain, for instance, has been diligently preparing for the introduction of distance learning since 2010. The practical significance and novelty of the research lies in its potential to offer valuable insights into the best practices and approaches adopted by EU in organizing distance learning for these professions. Other nations and regions can learn from these experiences.
