Bakteri yang dapat menyebabkan nekrosis pulpa, salah satunya Staphylococcus aureus. Perawatan terhadap nekrosis pulpa adalah dengan melakukan perawatan saluran akar (PSA). Salah satu tahapan dalam PSA adalah sterilisasi saluran akar dengan menggunakan kalsium hidroksida (calcium hydroxide) atau kresotin (cresotin). Penggunaan obat kimia, utamanya dalam jangka panjang, dapat menimbulkan efek samping, sehingga diperlukan bahan alternatif lain yang lebih aman dan alami, seperti penggunaan jintan hitam (Nigella sativa). Zat aktif yang terkandung dalam jinten hitam dapat bersifat sebagai antibakteri diantaranya adalah tannin, terpenoid, saponins, alkaloids. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas ekstrak jinten hitam dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus secara invitro dengan metode difusi agar. Penelitian ini menggunakan ekstrak biji jintan hitam (Nigella sativa) dengan konsentrasi 50%, 75% dan 100%. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Post Test Only Control Group Design, yang terdiri dari lima kelompok yakni, kelompok kontrol negatif (aquadest steril), kelompok perlakuan 1 (ekstrak jintan hitam konsentrasi 50%), kelompok perlakuan 2 (ekstrak jintan hitam konsentrasi 75%), kelompok perlakuan 3 (ekstrak jintan hitam konsentrasi 100%) dan kelompok kontrol positif (cresotin). Fluoride is one of the substance that could help in preventing carries and secondary carries. Fluoride can also be found in restorative materials used in dentistry that could release fluoride ions inside the oral cavity. The aim of this study is to determine the differences of different curing time on giomer’s fluoride release.The method used in this study is experimental laboratory design using 27 giomer samples that are divided into 3 groups based on the duration of irradiation of 20 seconds, 40 seconds, and 60 seconds. Fluoride-release were observed by immersing the polymerized restorative material into artificial saliva and then tested using UV-Vis Spectrophotometer with a wavelength of 570 nm. One way ANOVA test showed differences in fluoride levels in the 3 treatment groups with p 0.05. There was a significant difference in fluoride levels between polymerized giomer restorative materials with curing time of 20, 40, and 60 seconds.","PeriodicalId":484329,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Kesehatan Gigi","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135380511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
