The methodology adopted is based on an ethnographic approach combining participant observation and individual or group interviews with 37 respondents. The results show that power in Senufo society is yet fundamentally phallocratic but in certain circumstances, it can also be female. The study shows that behind the apparent dictatorship of men, popular statements and stereotypes, women have room for manoeuvre thanks to the institution of the female poro, which assigns them some duties to which they devote themselves. The results reveal that women are present in almost all spheres of socio-political activities. At first sight, women are always at the back of the queue, but on closer inspection, they are at the beginning, middle and end of every action in Senufo-Niarafolo society. Now, due to changes in their society and especially the dynamics of market gardening, it is increasingly the know-how and charisma of women that gives them autonomy and fulfilment. More often the major decisions in some extreme cases, in the village as well as in urban areas, paradoxically fall to women.","PeriodicalId":484107,"journal":{"name":"International journal of advanced academic studies","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136161665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research investigates the connection between mindfulness and happiness among 100 working women. Participants completed the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ), developed by Baer et al. (2006), along with the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQ) by Argyle and Hills (2002). The results reveal a statistically significant positive correlation between mindfulness and happiness among working women, even when considering variables such as age, education, and income. These findings emphasize the potential efficacy of mindfulness as a valuable tool for enhancing the well-being and happiness of working women. These insights could inform the development of targeted interventions and policies aimed at improving job satisfaction and well-being within this demographic.","PeriodicalId":484107,"journal":{"name":"International journal of advanced academic studies","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135662880","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are some important linkages inside network system of any functional region of different sectors which are associated to each other, but the intensity of inter linkages relationship is not same. However, Siliguri Metropolitan Area is considered as a big network of functional regional of North Bengal, where more than 50 small and big national and international urban centres are surrounded and have interrelations with it. The study focused on functional boundary of Siliguri Metropolitan Area (SMA) with its adjacent cities which have been ascertained on Gravity model concept (Breaking point analysis) by considering relevant units of variables. The discussions and results suggests that the gravitation power of Siliguri Metropolitan Area (SMA) is comparatively higher around North Bengal, North-Eastern state, Sikkim and Eastern part of Bihar than other functional region.","PeriodicalId":484107,"journal":{"name":"International journal of advanced academic studies","volume":"127 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135761657","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this research article is to identify and analyses the obstacles involved with implementing a multidisciplinary approach in higher education institutions, with an emphasis on the hurdles to interdisciplinary collaboration and curriculum integration.This study analyses the opinions and experiences of stakeholders involved in the implementation of multidisciplinary programmes through a mixed-methods research technique that includes surveys and interviews with faculty members and administrators. It delves into the difficulties experienced at many phases, from programme design to curriculum creation and delivery.The findings highlight many important issues impeding the successful implementation of a multidisciplinary approach. First, there are institutional impediments. Interdisciplinary collaboration is frequently hampered by factors such as restrictive departmental structures, insufficient resources, and bureaucratic processes.Overcoming disciplinary boundaries and developing integrated curriculum pose problems for faculty members. Second, faculty members' various academic backgrounds and disciplinary languages might provide barriers to successful communication and collaboration. Disagreements and conflicts can arise as a result of differences in research methodology, epistemological perspectives, and assessment practices.Furthermore, while migrating from traditional disciplinary based teaching to a multidisciplinary paradigm, student resistance and confusion may occur. Stu dents may find it difficult to navigate a variety of course offerings, comprehend complicated multidisciplinary topics, and identify a clear career path.Furthermore, faculty members face difficulties due to a lack of recognition and reward systems f or interdisciplinary teaching and research.Traditional evaluation measures and promotion criteria are frequently used.Prioritizing departmental knowledge may discourage teachers from participating in interdisciplinary collaboration. To address these problems, this study emphasises the need of cultivating a collaborative culture, establishing supporting institutional frameworks, and providing chances for professional growth for faculty members. It emphasises the importance of effective communication techniques, interdisciplinary training programmes, and the development of incentive mechanisms to recognize and incentivise multidisciplinary achievements. Higher education institutions can develop a dynamic learning environment that prepares student for challenging real World situations, stimulates innovation and creativity, and promotes holistic and well- rounded education by tackling the challenges connected with the interdisciplinary approach. The study investigates various aspects of quality control, including curriculum alignment, teaching methods, assessment procedures, teacher training, parental involvement, and overall student outcomes. By analysing these factors, the research seeks to provide insights into the strengths and areas of improvement for educational institutions in Tripura. The results of the study reveal that there seems significant difference between residential and non-residential schools with regard their quality control.
