The office is a unit of an executive department tasked to govern the primary education system of the entire country of the Philippines. Among its responsibilities, the office regularly disseminates and collects pertinent documents required by its executive department from various Elementary Schools within its locality through the School Principals. Currently, the processes involved in managing these documents to perform the necessary tasks are mostly traditional and paper-based. This system primarily provides a web-based electronic document management solution to the office unit, where the School Principals post, access, download, and submit documents online. Further, this system enables the office to produce relevant reports useful in document inventory. This mechanism addressed the challenges experienced by office employees in collecting and managing pertinent documents. As a result, the dissemination, submission, and collection of relevant papers assigned by the office will be streamlined.","PeriodicalId":482591,"journal":{"name":"International journal of science and applied information technology","volume":" 48","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141368426","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current system of accepting payments as funds is the usual manually performed fund collection whereby clients will hand in their bills, pay the required amount, and get an official transaction receipt. The finance office then takes the carbon copy of the issued receipt as a backup for the performed transaction. With the deployment of this system, the Accounting and Finance offices have eliminated the challenges present in the current process through a web-based interface that integrates both offices to process payment transactions, which are now managed digitally. While it is important to note that this system does not entirely run online and does not deploy a live website where clients can settle their transactions using a digital payment method, it is worth noting that this system has eliminated parts of the required business processes in handling the payment transactions that are manually operated from the issuance of an order of payment, processing the payment, and finally the issuance of transaction receipt. This system also interprets payment transactions and projects a graphical report through data visualization to produce significant information, such as daily and annual perspectives of fund collection. These innovations not only automate office transactions but also transform the transaction efficiently for the organization and its client","PeriodicalId":482591,"journal":{"name":"International journal of science and applied information technology","volume":" 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141369556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tanaman et al., International Journal of Science and Advanced Information Technology, 12 (5), September - October 2023, 44 - 48 44 ABSTRACT This software project is a web-based inventory management system for a small business enterprise established in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines. It primarily supports the business owner of the said business enterprise to perform regular inventory management online through a web platform. This mechanism did not only improve the overall business process but also enabled the business owner to manage inventories with efficiency and convenience. The enterprise comprises four branches and a mobile store that strolls around the city to cater to customer needs. In addition, the current mechanism of conducting inventory management is purely manual through the use of paper files, which overwhelmed the business owner with several challenges, including data inaccuracy due to the reliance on using papers where data are recorded and process inefficiency due to the manual recording and distribution of inventory and sales reports. This software project addressed these challenges by eliminating these manual approaches through an automated computing solution using a web platform where data are electronically recorded and processed, and reports are electronically produced.","PeriodicalId":482591,"journal":{"name":"International journal of science and applied information technology","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135197828","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The hacker threat paired with the enormously hazardous and costly danger of fraud or intellectual property theft by insiders has created a volatile situation in private and public organizations. While a majority of internal breaches are due to employee negligence or human error, attacks by malicious insiders with access to sensitive company information have increased dramatically in recent years. Threats of financial loss, theft of sensitive information, and destruction to critical sectors have made cybersecurity a top security priority around the globe. Whereas the increase in frequency and complexity of attacks on the industry has increased the danger of being unprepared, it also has influenced the cost of preventing and recovering from cyber-attacks. To construct a machine learning bases instruction detection system is capable of detecting Cyber-attacks in the private and public sectors in Nigeria and the whole world. The results show that Random Forest and Random Tree algorithms outperform the other algorithms in their level of precision and F-measure as they are above 99% and 98% respectively, while the Random Forest outperforms the others by its detection rate. However, the Random Forest and Random Tree algorithms are more efficient in performing classification exercise on the Test datasets","PeriodicalId":482591,"journal":{"name":"International journal of science and applied information technology","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135199968","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
