Effectively managing an organization necessitates adept leadership, with various leadership styles associated with distinct outcomes. This investigation delved into the presence of leadership styles, their correlation with employee performance, and the effects of transformational and transactional leadership on concepts like organizational commitment, organizational behavior, and job satisfaction. The City Schools of Peshawar served as the case study. Initially, a questionnaire was distributed to teaching staff to gauge the impact of independent variables on the dependent variable. In theoretical framework, we placed transformational leadership and transactional leadership as repressors and a employee performance as regressends. The sample size comprised 140 respondents, with 104 questionnaires selected using the \"Yamani\" formula. Primary data was collected through a structured 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. Analysis, conducted using SPSS, involved correlation matrix, multicollinearity (VIF) analysis, heteroscedasticity analysis, and regression. The findings affirmed a positive impact of the tested leadership styles on employee performance. The research concluded by recommending that managers emphasize the use of transformational leadership to cultivate higher levels of organizational commitment, organizational behavior, and job satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":471654,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Organization and Management Review","volume":"67 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141382745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study is significant because the consecutive success of PTI is termed as landmark development in history of KP. Researcher adopted positivism as research philosophy, quantitative methodology as the research paradigm, statistical approach was employed and survey method as research design was used. The study was delimited to the voters of Dera Ismail Khan. The numerical data was tested through appropriate statistical means, after checking the validity and reliability. The results revealed that all the factors had contributed significantly in the consecutive success of PTI. Among these factors (new reforms, political slogans, charismatic leadership, the establishment's role, the youth factor, and anticorruption campaign), new reforms, introduced by the PTI government during 2013-2018 period has contributed more than any other variable. The results showed that almost 88% change can be attributed to these variables. It was concluded that voters of Dera Ismail Khan favored the PTI candidates on basis of the new reforms introduced by them. The study recommended that political parties should work on the reforms in the institutions which has been established for the benefit of people but they are doing opposite. Future researchers can study in other regions of the KP on this particular issue.","PeriodicalId":471654,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Organization and Management Review","volume":"20 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141386055","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Similarities in religion, culture, ethnicity, race, and history were predicted to cement the harmonious bilateral connection between the two countries. There have been a lot of obstacles to the development of positive relations between the two republics ever since they were established. Afghanistan's alone neighbor and a key commercial partner, Pakistan and the two countries have a difficult history despite Afghanistan's reliance on Pakistan's seaports and international trade. Tense relations began with the conflicts over the Durand line and Pakhtunistan stunt supported by Afghan government and were exacerbated by subsequent events like the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 and the American involvement in the country after September 11, 2001. A large number of refugees fled to Pakistan as a result of these invasions, shaking up the country's politics and economy. India's involvement in Afghan politics has had a major effect on Pakistan's interests in the country and the surrounding region, especially after September 11th, when the United States attempted to offset Chinese influence in the area. India's engagement in Afghanistan and Pakistan's support in the US invasion of Afghanistan are at the root of the current state of bilateral ties. Normalizing bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan may require the involvement of a third party or agreement on confidence-building measures to enhance the welfare of persons living on the other side of the Durand line and encourage amicable interactions between the two countries. Using a qualitative approach, this article investigates the causes and consequences of the current mistrust in bilateral ties, with a particular emphasis on economic and security problems in the wake of 9/11.","PeriodicalId":471654,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Organization and Management Review","volume":"307 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141386597","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mediating role of psychological distress in the relationship between despotic leadership and employee behavioral outcomes was investigated by analyzing data from 380 employees in the banking sector using regression analysis and correlation studies. The findings indicate that despotic leadership is significantly positively correlated with both turnover intention and psychological distress. Conversely, employee deviant behavior was negatively correlated with both despotic leadership and psychological distress. The results of the current study disclosed that psychological distress serves as a mediator in the relationship between despotic leadership and employee behavioral outcomes. In conclusion, this investigation underscores the detrimental effects of despotic leadership on the overall performance of organizations and the well-being of employees. It emphasizes the importance of fostering leadership styles that are empowering and beneficial in the workplace. However, the investigation acknowledges the limitations of its numerical methodology and suggests additional research directions.","PeriodicalId":471654,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Organization and Management Review","volume":"276 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141386986","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Assuming that supervisor support was linked to working conditions, a theoretical model was developed to disentangle the effects of role ambiguity and work stress. As part of the investigation, researchers developed a questionnaire to gather necessary information. On the 5-point Likert scale, 1 means \"strongly disagree\" and 5 means \"strongly agree\" for each question. There was an effort to determine the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. Both causal and correlative relationships were investigated. The information was analyzed using SPSS. There was some analyzing done using regression and correlation. Absenteeism was found to be significantly linked to job stress and job ambiguity. Workplace morale is boosted in part because absenteeism has decreased. This study also found that the relationship between absenteeism and working conditions is significantly tempered by supervisor support. Therefore, further analysis and conclusions from the study encourage the development or implementation of a variety of techniques to deal with employee absenteeism, which may ultimately lead to an improvement in the quality of the employees' working circumstances. An organization's success can also be attributed to its highly engaged workforce. In reaching this verdict, we were able to show that having a supervisor around can boost work quality by allowing for course corrections to be made when necessary. Colleagues can help one another out by sharinginformation about challenges they're facing on the job, generating ideas for how to address those challenges, and generally fostering an environment that is conducive to new ways of thinking and doing things. This is a possibility for all staff members, regardless of their existing ranks. Hence, these preventative measures are crucial for not only professional but also individual success.","PeriodicalId":471654,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Organization and Management Review","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134943068","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Performance of employee depends on performance of HR department. If it hires competent professionals then performance of employees would be better. Forest sector in Pakistan was overlooked, which needs much attention because it is responsible for huge forest areas. Human resource management practices require adequate attention of researchers if Pakistan forest sector want to improve its employee’s performance. Aim of this study was to find moderating effect of organizational commitment on HRM practices and employee performance n Pakistani forest sector. Survey approach was used for collecting data through closed ended structured questionnaires from forest department employees in public sector. Total 315 questionnaires were collected back but 303 completed scales were used in the analysis. Smart PLS-SEM 3 software and SPSS 25 were used for statistical analysis. It was found that organizational commitment does act as moderator on R&S and PA only. This means that these variables are the most dominant variables in this model. This study is valuable extension of HRM practices and performance by adding commitment as moderator. This study is the first study, which targeted forest sector as no such studies were conducted on this sample and area before in Pakistan. Thus, this is valuable extension of theory of human resource management practices and employee’s commitment.","PeriodicalId":471654,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Organization and Management Review","volume":"283 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134943071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Conflict management has received much attention in the organizational literature in the recent past; because of a shift in attitudes toward conflict in organizations. This study focused on the conflict management styles of the principals of public and private sector schools. The study employed a survey; the population consisted of all the ‘secondary school principals of Bangi Selangor Malaysia. To test the instrument and determine sample size through formula, a pilot study was conducted, and the sample size was 154. For six research and four demographic variables, a 5-point Likert scale was used to record the responses. The study concluded that leadership should not suppress or resolve the conflict, but shall manage it in consultation with the supervisor and other employees. Since the principal’s conflict management styles affect the member’s behavior and eventually the organization’s performance. Therefore, different types of conflict management styles should be applied based on the appropriate situation, and that requires the ability of a manager to adapt their behavior according to the different situations to meet the needs. At the same time, trust is also an essential component that plays a role as the foundation of relationships, which is especially important when it comes to teamwork.","PeriodicalId":471654,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Organization and Management Review","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134943070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
