What and how the plantation artifacts are the main problem in this paper. the purpose of this paper is to explain the colonial plantation artifacts in the form of inscriptions and old maps of the garden. The method used is a desk research on archeological research reports, books, and the internet. The data sources obtained are the inscription of the establishment of the old Panglejar tea factory in the IHT Building, the inscription of the establishment of the Administrator of Maswati Plantation house in the Pusdiklat Building, and the old map of the Rajamandala P lantation in the Office of Rajamandala Afdeling 1 of Panglejar Platation. The three colonial artifacts give special meaning to the continuity of plantation history since the days of the Dutch East Indies until now, as well as showing directions to search for and find historical information through colonial archival research and information from interviews with relevant informants at the present time.

Various central government facilities were built in Weltevreden. The problems discussed are related to the development of the urban spatial planning of Weltevreden as the center of government during the Dutch Colonial period. The aim is to uncover the development of Weltevreden’s urban spatial structure during the Dutch Colonial period. The method used is descriptive analysis with a spatial approach. The construction of Weltevreden as the center of government was carried out because the area was healthier than the old Batavia region. This area also developed into a center of community activity with its center in Waterlooplein.

In the colonial period, the village was famous as the production center of various kinds of weapons in the Priangan region. Consumers of the Cikeruh bladesmith varied, ranging from indigenous groups to Europeans groups in the Dutch East Indies. This article aims to reveal the history of Cikeruh’s bladesmith and explain the acculturation which is seen on the Cikeruh sword. The method used in this study is a historical method consisting of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Based on the study, it can be seen that the existence of Cikeruh bladesmith cannot be separated from the history of the Sumedang Larang Kingdom because the pioneer of Cikeruh bladesmith came from the royal descent of the kingdom. In addition, cultural acculturation can be witnessed from the Cikeruh blades that shows mixed models between Priangan and European styles.

Previous scholarly research only focused on the Arca Mahāksobhya/Joko Dolog and the Arca Aksobhya Koleksi Museum Mpu Purwa Nomor Inventaris 89 as a statue of the ordination of Kṛtanāgara, thus closing the possibility of other jina statues. Thus this study aims to discuss the existence of several other statues as Kṛtanāgara jina, as well as the appearance of iconographic features of Buddhist monks in some Kṛtanāgara jina statues. The study began with a collection of physical descriptions through observation and evaluation of jina statues who depict Kṛtanāgara through iconographic rules. The next step is to collect supporting data in the form of ancient manuscripts and literature related to Kṛtanāgara jina. Besides that, also conduct interviews with competent speakers in their fields. The final stage is the analysis and interpretation to obtain a final conclusion. The results obtained are that Kṛtanāgara was ordained as a jina in the form of the Arca Mahāksobhya/Joko Dolog, Reco Lanang, Arca Aksobhya Koleksi Museum Mpu Purwa Nomor Inventaris 89, and Arca Pendeta Buddha Koleksi Museum Nasional Nomor Inventaris 229a. Reco Lanang represents the jina of Dhyānibuddha Kṛtanāgara while the other three statues are depictions of Kṛtanāgara as manusibuddha or highest Buddhist monks.

Remote scanning devices significantly reduce time for conducting archaeological research and allows a researcher concentrate efforts on searching and studying of archaeological sites more optimally. One of such devices for remote geophysical sounding is a metal detector. \u0000The article briefly presents information about the history of geophysical method development, based on the creation and improvement of a ground-based sensing device – the metal detector. Moreover, the author gives examples of its foreign experience in archaeological research as an additional scanning tool, where, in combination with traditional research methods, the metal detector is effective and significantly increases the statistics of metal artifacts found. \u0000In addition, the effective capabilities and the feasibility of using a metal detector in various regions of Ukraine, in the process of conducting modern archaeological research (archaeological explorations, stationary archaeological excavations and scientific and rescue studies), are examined based on the author’s personal experience. The algorithm of working with a metal detector at various archaeological sites, both entire complexes and individual objects, is analyzed. The research was carried out exclusively within the framework of professional archaeological ethics: metal detection was carried out purely during the work of archaeological expeditions in the area of the relevant monuments identified by permits. The metal detector was used for the systematic detection of metal artifacts in combination with standard methods of archaeological practice in general. In this article, a metal detector research is primarily considered as a means of obtaining important scientific information, and not as a tool for digging up metal artifacts. \u0000To conclude, methodological recommendations for the metal detector usage and issues related to the regulation of its usage in the examination of archaeological sites are presented.
